  1. Not buying gas boycott doesn't really help. :(. It hurts those at the very end of the oil to gasoline chain. The United States is the top exporter of refined oil products, which drives up prices as we demand higher wages better benefits. But, yet, we won't embrace new technology to make the prices adapt. (The current GOP led Congress states that Solar, Wind, and Renewable energy is useless and a "myth").

  3. These will actually hurt the stations. The local owners. Most gas stations are now franchised out to local business owners. They have no control of the oil price or the price change much of the time. They usually make a majority of their profit and wages through their "little store" attached to them.

  5. The best way to effectively hurt the oil companies is vote in politicians whom are in support of alternative fuels. We have the technology to end all waste (landfills, etc, we can recycle 100% of everything!) and to end dependence on oil. But, the government does not support it, because the ones we vote in do not support it. These are the same politicians whom believe we need more cutbacks in our schools and more tests.

  7. Also, carpool, drive less, walk more, bike more, these end a small amount of dependence on oil, and if millions across the country do so demand goes down and prices will begin to fall trying to amp up demand once again. Hybrid cars bring down demand as well. New technologies brings down demand.

  9. Also, in my opinion avoid all gas stations owned by BP! This is the company that destroyed our coral reef, the gulf oil spill, and they didn't pay a single dime like they promised too! Our government had to pay everything, that means you, a tax payer!
