- 1.2 Donations and credit store
- 1.2.1 Contact the owners of ECLIPSE Roleplay, if you experience any issues with credit purchases.

- cannot be transferred to a different account.
- 1.2.3 ECLIPSE Roleplay will not refund players, who are banned for server rule breaches or activity that is harmful to
- the community.

- 1.3.2 Character names cannot be names of famous people (ex.: celebrities, politicians, historical personalities).
- 1.3.3 Players must not trade character assets for OOC valuables, parties involved in the trade will be blocked.
- 2. Cheating and server bugs
- 2.1 Hacking
- 2.1.1 Hackers will be permanently banned without warning or chance to appeal.
- 2.1.2 Mods, trainers and software that enable their user to activate unfair abilities are hacks.
- 2.1.3 Players must not have the ability to activate cheats on demand while in the server, players must uninstall such
- mods and trainers before joining the game.
- 2.1.4 Players are allowed to use audiovisual mods if there are no side effects (ex.: these mods cannot improve vehicle
- performance or protect the player from gunfire).
- 2.1.5 Players are allowed to bind keys to make it easier to perform actions (usually those that require typing).
- 2.2 Macroing
- 2.2.1 Macroing is the use of third-party software (or hardware enhancements) to perform automated actions.
- 2.2.2 Macroing players will be blocked and their character assets will be removed.
- 3
- 2.3 Server bugs
- 2.3.1 Server bugs should be reported on ECLIPSE Roleplay forums.
- 2.3.2 Exploiters will be blocked and their character assets will be removed.
- 3. Communication rules
- 3.1 Advertising
- 3.1.1 It is prohibited to advertise other GTA V multiplayer communities in ECLIPSE servers. This includes discussion or
- talk of other communities. An attempt to break this rule will result in a permanent ban.
- 3.2 Server languages
- 3.2.1 English is the server language, therefore, all players must be able to communicate in English.
- 3.2.2 English is the only language that should be used in IC chat.
- 3.2.3 A different language may be used in OOC chat ONLY if everyone, who can see the conversation, have agreed to it.
- 3.3 Offensive language
- 3.3.1 Players are allowed to threaten other players and use offensive language in IC chat for roleplay purposes.
- 3.3.2 Players must not threaten other players or use offensive language in OOC chat or OOC context.
- 3.4 Global announcements
- 3.4.1 Global announcements cannot contain offensive content (both IC and OOC).
- 3.4.2 Global announcements must only contain IC content.
- 3.4.3 Global announcements cannot be used to advertise illegal merchandise or activities.
- 4. Community security
- 4.1 Harassment
- 4.1.1 It is prohibited to leak personal information of another person or to make such threats. An attempt to break this
- rule will result in an immediate permanent ban.
- 4.1.2 It is prohibited to intimidate players from playing on the server or to continuously harass them in the game for
- OOC reasons to purposely make their game experience miserable.
- 4.2 Cyber-attacks
- 4.2.1 Cyber-attacks (threats) against ECLIPSE Roleplay will result in an immediate permanent ban.
- 4.2.2 Discussion of potential cyber-attacks against ECLIPSE Roleplay will result in a ban.
- 4
- 4.3 Knowledge of rule breaches
- 4.3.1 Players must report cases of ban evasion, falsified forum reports, cyber-attacks and other rule breaches. An
- attempt to hide such information is punishable.
- 5. Administration
- 5.1 Intervention
- 5.1.1 Administrators are allowed to intervene into roleplay scenarios and pause them to investigate reports.
- 5.1.2 Administrators are allowed to void roleplay scenarios, if server rules were broken.
- 5.1.3 Players are welcomed to voice their opinion but should never disobey administrators.
- 5.1.4 Players should report administrator abuse on the forums.
- 5.2 Reports and punishment appeals
- 5.2.1 Players should report rule breaches with the /REPORT command, if the report remains unresolved, the report
- case should be moved to the forums.
- 5.2.2 Players can submit punishment appeals on the forums to request lighter punishments or for them to be reversed.
- 6. Roleplay rules
- 6.1 IC and OOC
- 6.1.1 Players are required to remain in-character (IC) at all times.
- 6.1.2 Text chat, voice chat, radio, phone and server commands /ME, /DO and /AME are to be used only for IC content.
- 6.1.3 In text form, IC content must be written in grammatically correct spelling, it cannot contain smiley faces.
- Punctuation and capitalization are not enforced. Phone text messages are an exception to this rule.
- 6.1.4 For OOC content, players must use chat commands that encase the content in brackets. For example (( this is OOC
- content )). OOC chat commands are /OOC, /O, /B, /PM and /F.
- 6.2 Pause of roleplay
- 6.2.1 A roleplay scenario can be paused if all participants agree to pause it.
- 6.2.2 If a rule is broken, inform the other party through OOC and make a report with the /REPORT command, unless the
- situation is resolved peacefully. It is recommended to record these situations.
- 6.2.3 If a player’s game crashes while in an active roleplay scenario, both parties should attempt to make contact and try
- to resume the scenario. A player crash must never be used to put them in a disadvantage.
- 5
- 6.3 Metagaming
- 6.3.1 Metagaming (MG) is the act of relaying IC information through OOC methods or using OOC information in roleplay
- scenarios. OOC methods include third-party software, for example, Discord.
- 6.3.2 Mixing IC and OOC information without any benefit is a minor MG offense. For example, a player uses IC chat to talk
- about OOC content or calls someone by their nametag.
- 6.3.3 Relaying IC information through OOC methods, which benefit the player, is a major MG offense and will result in a ban.
- For example, a player is at gunpoint, the player uses an OOC method to call for help, as a result, the attacker is unable
- to detect this action and has no chance to counter it (it is unfair for the attacker).
- 6.3.4 Player’s camera view determines the field of vision of their character (“camera metagaming” is not enforced).
- 6.4 Powergaming
- 6.4.1 Forceful roleplay, that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered
- powergaming. For example, a player may attempt to knock the other player unconscious by roleplaying it (using the
- /ME command), however the other player must be given a chance to roleplay the outcome of that action.
- 6.4.2 Roleplay of unrealistic actions is another form of powergaming. For example, roleplay of having super powers, driving a
- vehicle while your character is handcuffed, shooting a weapon while your character is injured.
- 6.4.3 It is not allowed to input false information or lie in /DO as this roleplay command is used to explain the facts of a
- roleplay situation. For example, if your character is hiding a pistol and another player makes an attempt to search you, if
- the outcome of the search is successful, you must use /DO to state the roleplay fact that the pistol had been found.
- 6.4.4 Forceful server commands, such as, /HANDCUFF or /MUG are exceptions to the powergaming rule.
- 6.5 New life rule
- 6.5.1 The new life rule is triggered whenever a player’s character respawns at a hospital, the reason of death is irrelevant.
- However, the rule is not activated, when the injured character is brought to the hospital and revived.
- 6.5.2 The deceased character loses memory of their death, the events that caused it and the information collected in
- between those time frames. This means, that all information the victim had learned had turned into OOC information.
- For example, a player is confronted by a robber, the player refuses to comply and is killed by the robber. The player’s
- knowledge of the robbery, the robber and their death had turned into OOC information, not suitable for IC context.
- 6.5.3 The deceased character must avoid interaction with their killer (or killers) for 30 minutes and must not return to the
- area of their death, unless the killer (or killers) have left the area.
- 6.5.4 The deceased character must not return to the same roleplay situation, where an earlier attempt has ended in their
- death, even if the NLR timer is expired. For example, a player’s vehicle had been stolen, the player was able to track
- down the thief and made an attempt to retrieve their vehicle, but the player failed and was killed. The vehicle owner
- cannot make another attempt to retrieve their vehicle from the same thief.
- 6
- 6.6 Non-roleplay
- 6.6.1 Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.
- 6.6.2 Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay:
- • Theft of a vehicle by hijacking the driver without any roleplay, when there are no circumstances to justify it, such
- as your character being in immediate danger of getting killed or arrested;
- • An attempt to provoke a police chase, without a realistic reason, also known as “cop baiting” (a realistic reason
- would be to divert police units away from an area, where your allies plan to commit a serious crime or are in the
- progress of one);
- • Hurting an injured player, because they ask to be killed, also known as “mercy killing” (usually done to respawn
- their character quicker, it’s unrealistic, because in reality people do not respawn).
- • Use of an expensive vehicle, such as a super car, to ram into other vehicles (players should show care and value
- their luxury vehicles, because they are costly to repair).
- 6.7 Sexual roleplay
- 6.7.1 Sexual roleplay is allowed only if all involved parties (participants and witnesses) have agreed to it in OOC text chat,
- prior to the actual roleplay.
- 6.8 No crime zones
- 6.8.1 A no crime zone (NCZ) is an area, where players must not commit crimes, that would cause harm to another player or
- their property. Players must not disobey orders of law enforcement officers but are allowed to run from arrest. A crime
- that does not harm another player or their property is defined as a victimless crime.
- 6.8.2 NCZs can have exceptions, that can be reviewed with the /NCZ command.
- 6.8.3 A player who is chased by the police or criminals may choose to drive through an NCZ. A player who is chased by
- criminals may hide in an NCZ, the criminals must wait for that player to leave the safety of an NCZ.
- 6.8.4 The purpose of the NCZ rule is to simulate heavily guarded and secure areas, where it is unrealistic to commit crimes.
- 6.8.5 A list of NCZ areas:
- ● The area around and the interior of all active law enforcement departments.
- ● The area around and the interior of all active hospitals.
- ● The area around and the interior of all active banks.
- ● The area around and the interior of “Tequil La La” nightclub.
- ● The interior of the “Yellow Jack Inn” bar.
- ● The area around the Los Santos International Airport new player spawn.
- ● The area around the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
- ● The area around and the interior of Bolingbroke Prison.
- 6.9 OOC and IC evidence
- 6.9.1 OOC evidence (videos, screenshots) can be used as IC evidence, if the footage of a crime or event had been captured by
- a player, whose character can be seen using the /RECORD command to hold a phone in their hand.
- 6.9.2 Houses and businesses can have hidden roleplay cameras, if the owner roleplays to install them and takes time stamped
- screenshots with /TIME of the camera angle as evidence, if they are ever disputed in the future. Valid only if done in the
- interior of a property and does not apply to the exterior unless there are visible camera objects.
- 7
- 6.9.3 You may roleplay a hidden camera, hidden microphone/wire, or dash camera footage in a vehicle as long as you have
- evidence of roleplay in the beginning of the recording and the ending, and it cannot be edited in between starting and
- stopping recording. This evidence must be able to be provided in the event of a dispute. If this is being roleplayed, and
- someone frisks you, you should let them know they would find the wire or camera.
- 7. PvP rules
- 7.1 Fear roleplay
- 7.1.1 Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s life in situations where your safety is in immediate
- danger when the attacker is in a position to quickly end your life at will. This can come in a form of having a weapon
- aimed at your character’s head at close range, where reaching for your own weapon would result in you being killed
- instantly, or where your life is in direct danger and any attempt to resist would result in your immediate death.
- 7.1.2 Examples, where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger:
- • When you are on foot and a weapon is aimed at you at close range;
- • When the engine of your vehicle is stalled and a weapon is aimed at you at close range;
- • When the attacker lowers their weapon to write a roleplay response, your life remains in direct danger;
- 7.1.3 Examples, where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:
- • When you are in a vehicle which engine is not stalled;
- • When you have a firearm drawn prior to the other person aiming their weapon at you;
- • When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they are distracted and turn their back on you;
- 7.1.4 As a victim, whose life is in direct danger:
- • You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker;
- • You cannot call 911, call your friends or allies to aid you, because that would be failure to comply;
- 7.2 Deathmatch
- 7.2.1 Deathmatch is the act of killing or hurting another player (or damaging their property) without a proper roleplay reason.
- An attempt to break this rule will result in a temporary or permanent ban.
- 7.2.2 Examples of valid reasons to attack another player:
- • If they attempt to harm, hurt you or damage your property (or if they attempt to do the same to your friends or
- allies), this also includes an attempt by the police to arrest someone;
- • If they report you to the police for a committed heavy crime, however, if someone reports you for a light crime,
- such as illegal parking, then the reason is insufficient;
- • If they are not in compliance with the demands or if they attempt to escape or call other players for help;
- 7.2.3 A player cannot kill their victim, if the victim is in compliance with the demands.
- 7.2.4 A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands and warn the victim more than one time, if
- the victim is too slow to respond or react to the demands.
- 7.2.5 A player cannot force their victim to kill someone, if the enforcer does not have a valid reason to kill that someone.
- 8
- 7.3 Vehicle deathmatch
- 7.3.1 Vehicle deathmatch is identical to deathmatch, however, the rule explains how vehicles should not be used as weapons.
- 7.3.2 A vehicle cannot be used to repeatedly force a player into a ragdoll state, for example, it cannot be used to knock the
- player down on the ground multiple times or to park a vehicle on top of them.
- 7.3.3 If there is a valid reason to attack someone, a vehicle may be used once (a failed attempt counts) to knock the other
- player on the ground.
- 7.3.4 If there are multiple players on a scene, the driver can hit each one of them only once, however, the driver is given only
- one attempt to do it. This means, that a vehicle cannot be used to drive through a scene multiple times with the
- purpose of hitting more players.
- 7.4 Kill on sight
- 7.4.1 Kill on sight (KoS) is the act of killing a player with no engagement in roleplay.
- 7.4.2 A player is allowed to KoS someone, only for specific reasons, that are not older than 24 real world hours, and if the
- new life rule is followed.
- 7.4.3 KoS is allowed for these specific reasons:
- • Your life was threatened in the past (ex.: in a robbery, a combat situation or a hostage situation);
- • The life of your friend or ally is threatened at the present or if you have witnessed it happen in the past;
- • There is an attempt to steal your valuables, or those of your group, if the value of theft is not less than $75.000
- (this point excludes vehicles);
- 7.5 Robberies and scamming
- 7.5.1 Players can rob other players by either roleplaying it or by forcing them to raise their hands and using the /MUG
- command. There is no limit to how much money or items you can take during a robbery.
- 7.5.2 Players cannot force their victims to withdraw money from an ATM. Under no circumstances can a criminal force their
- victims to sell property, such as, houses, vehicles or businesses.
- 7.5.3 Players cannot force their victims to hand over assets that are not present in the area of the robbery. This means, that a
- robber cannot move their victim to another part of town to steal more property.
- 7.5.4 Players may trick their victims into delivering their valuables to a specified location and rob them afterwards, however,
- the scam value must not exceed $15.000. Scammers cannot not lie to their victims in OOC form.
- 7.5.5 Players cannot rob, scam or steal from new player who are under 1000XP. However, new players lose their protection,
- if they try to commit the same crimes against other players.
- 7.5.6 Players are allowed to loot inventories of injured players without additional roleplay, because the server handles /AME
- notifications and injured players are in no condition to resist.
- 9
- 7.6 Assassinations
- 7.6.1 A player may hire another player to assassinate someone only, if the client is allowed to kill the victim in accordance
- with the KoS conditions. The client is responsible for the validity of information given to the assassin.
- 7.6.2 Both client and assassin must be able to provide OOC evidence to prove the existence of their contract, when asked by
- an administrator.
- 7.6.3 After a failed or successful assassination attempt, the assassin must inform the victim in OOC chat that they were an
- assassination contract target.
- 7.6.4 If the assassin is killed (NLR is triggered), the assassination contract is terminated.
- 7.7 Hostage rules
- 7.7.1 Players are allowed to kidnap or to take other players hostage for these specific reasons:
- • You have a roleplay reason to kill the victim in accordance with the KoS rule;
- • You were hired as an assassin and the victim is your contract target;
- • The victim is a member of another criminal faction (however, it gives their faction reason to declare war);
- • If you attempt to commit robbery (ex.: general stores, banks), you are allowed to take other players hostage for
- the duration of the robbery as insurance in case the police arrive. An NPC is not a valid hostage;
- 7.8 Combat and roleplay logging
- 7.8.1 Players must not disconnect from a roleplay situation to avoid negative IC consequences. If you crash, you must
- reconnect to the server and inform the other parties and attempt to resume the roleplay scenario.
- 7.8.2 In a situation, where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the
- same advantages as they have had before their leave.
- 7.9 Faction and turf rules
- 7.9.1 A player cannot use the faction management script to destroy a faction, because it is an OOC management system.
- 7.9.2 A player may steal from their faction treasury, but the amount may not exceed the amount specified in the scamming
- rule. Theft can be repeated every 24 (real world) hours.
- 7.9.3 Government funded faction members must not abuse the salary system, members of these factions should go off-duty
- when they are not performing their faction duties.
- 7.9.4 Criminal faction members are permitted to kill their enemies on sight ONLY, if their enemies had attempted to capture
- their turf within the last 30 minutes or are in the process of capturing one. Enemies MUST be located within a turf
- owned by the defenders.
- 7.9.5 A criminal faction cannot declare war on another criminal faction without a good roleplay reason. A turf war is not a
- valid reason. A war declaration must be declared against specific members of the enemy faction and roleplay reasons
- must be provided.
- 7.9.6 An alliance is not a valid reason to declare an offensive war. Allies may defend turfs as well as protect allied players
- from harm. This does not require them to declare war against the attacker. Faction allies may not attempt to drain turf
- health, unless they are at war with the owner themselves.
