Gang back story
The Marino Family is an Italian-American gang composed of members originally from the New York and New Jersey area. The Marino's were one of five NY families at the time, and the group existed from the early 70's- to 2017.The Coniglio's worked out of New Jersey operating a similar gang around what is thought to be a similar time period as the Marino's. Both families took part in activities such as extortion, bootlegging, fraud, hijacking, money laundering, loan-sharking, prostitution, racketeering, murder, theft, and although it was frowned upon by most bosses, drug trafficking, among other things. While the two families never specifically associated outside major social gatherings, they were linked by family members as many gangs of the day were. By 2017 much of the families were hit by RICO charges or had flipped, leaving them inactive for the most part and opportunities were lacking as well as risky. As business went stale, few members of the Marino and Coniglio families sought opportunities in San Andreas, virtually unopposed, finding it easier to together under the name of The Marino Family.
Gang Mission Statement
The Marino Family first,and foremost are interested in making money through illegal activities fronted by legitimate enterprises. Money trickles down to lower members, but also offers protection for the family members and associates. The Family aims to do business in a "civilized" and covert way. The family will take part in whatever profitable enterprises can line their pockets with more money.

OOC Information
This information is a bit out of my wheelhouse, but hopefully the staff can help in the process. More than one location will be used. The Family hopes to buy an apartment complex (The Pink Cage Motel) that can be used to rent rooms as a front (and a profit). Also used will be The Vanilla Unicorn. Other Family member's assets will be used and we hope to use some with development support.
