¬ Background: Chaeyeon was originally born in Hanoi Vietnam she lived with her mother for most of her life when her father passed away due to Lung cancer when she was young. Though she still had a normal childhood, She and her mother moved to Busan South Korea to live with her grandparents when she as 14. Every day she would keep her passion for music and singing close to her. Singing to the customer's of her grandpa's small family restaurant after school, the customers would comment all the time but one really stuck with her. " She should audition for SM, she'd make a great idol," So as a few weeks flew by and she auditioned for SM she ranked 17th and didn't get a callback. Instead of letting this get her down she worked extra hard to improve her singing technique. Still singing to customers, and asking for advice. So when she was 16 she auditioned for JYP instead she placed 3rd and eventually started training for JYP. They said she had the charm of a dorky and bubbly idol, but her singing had a few flaws. She trained endlessly, fixing her breathing technique, airiness, and such finally becoming worthy of the spot for the main vocalist. She was on masked singer she didn't last too long though getting purple ( eliminated, but performs a final song and removes mask during instrumental ) on the 4th round. With the announcement of Debut, she gives herself words of encouragement and works even harder than she usually does.
