FoE RPG G0-2 - #006 Freedom Mound: The Slumber of the Wicked

[21:03]<LuckyLeaf>	The day starts with a report from Tamara. Hounds were spotted scouting the region. Even more strangely, the mudpony guard found a group of  sand raiders comatose close to the settlement.
[21:17]?	Sotho blinks and nods to the report. "How did they manage to get this close?"
[21:20]<LuckyLeaf>	"Our patrols were moving to fend them off, but they collapsed on their own." Tamara says. "Overdosing is common among them, but not all them at once like this."
[21:21]?	Sotho nods lightly. "What do you all suggest we do about them?" He looks around his companions, Firefly, Ignis, Swiss_Provolone, Royal_Lace
[21:21]?	Ignis ' common sense tingles. "I don't believe in coincidences like that...its likely a trick."
[21:22]?	Firefly shrugs. "Drugs are bad." She fiddles with something she found in the landfill. Looks like a rubik's cube? With buttons?
[21:23]?	Swiss_Provolone frowns "Chain them up in case they wake up. If they still have anything left in their systems they could be dangerous."
[21:25]?	Royal_Lace is absent from the room
[21:25]?	Full_Physical is at the nearest clinic
[21:25]?	Sotho blinks and looks to what Firefly has then back to everyone else. "So then, I suggest we chain them up."
[21:26]?	Ignis crosses his arms and shakes his head, his gaze narrows a tad. "If we bring them in alive, they are going to be nothing but trouble to us...its bound to disrupt us somewhere..." His tone is somber. "The circumstances are far too much suspicious, I wouldn't take any shots at hauling them in."
[21:26]<Firefly>	"Are they awake?" The filly continues fiddling.
[21:27]?	Royal_Lace having missed her trip into town after being disheveled from her find in the scrapyard and deciding instead on a trip to the lab to check on things. Now today she is in the town of last stop just stepping into a certain shop and calling out as she nocks on the door frame. "Hello?"
[21:28]?	Swiss_Provolone turns to face Ignis, "We don't need to bring them all in, but I can handle the ones we do. So long as we do it someplace that we can lock down if it becomes problematic."
[21:29]<Firefly>	"Cause if they aren't awake, they can't cause trouble. Unless someone put bombs in them, I suppose." The filly shudders, but continues poking.
[21:30]?	Ignis sighs heavily. "I'll be honest...I don't like it, not at all..." The dragon states and eyes over everypony into the room. "I just think that the risks outweight the benefits...which would be pretty slim."
[21:30]<SpiritOfFate>	The door opens to the store.
[21:30]?	Royal_Lace takes a step inside and looks around, "I hope today isnt a poor day to drop by but I came about an outstanding debt I have"
[21:32]?	Firefly looks up from the cube-thing. "Isn't there a place we could hold them off-site? I mean, we could always put them under extra guard. Aren't we paying the griffins to help with security?"
[21:33]?	Swiss_Provolone nods, "Then lets get someone with medical expertise to examine them outside before bringing them in. Once their cleared bring a few, dispose of the rest. The Griffins and some of the security can keep watch."
[21:34]?	Ignis ponders about that and nods, conceding. "That seems more reasonable..."
[21:34]<Ignis>	"As long as they aren't stuffed with explosives or something..."
[21:35]?	Swiss_Provolone straightens, "Then lets not waste time, should they be on a timer."
[21:35]?	Sotho gives a shrug. "That sounds fine." He looks to Firefly. "What do you have there?"
[21:36]<SpiritOfFate>	"Hello mrs. Lace. Nice day isn't it?" The changeling greets from the ceiling, looking sickly but good-humored.
[21:39]?	Royal_Lace smiles and closes the door behind herself, "Oh hello there Miss Antenna, its good to see you again. It is a nice day, perfect for a picknick". Levetating her bags off herself and setting them near the door she glances up, "Oh dear, are you feeling altogether well dear?"
[21:40]?	Firefly shakes her head. "Dunno. Found it in scrapyard. Probably just a broken thing..." The filly wrinkles her snout. "Hate puzzles."
[21:41]?	Sotho chuckles a bit. "Do you think it's a puzzle or perhaps something more interesting?"
[21:42]?	Swiss_Provolone starts to trot out, "I'll go grab somepony to examine the Raiders, someone grab some of the chains and meet me there."
[21:43]?	Sotho nods lightly. "I have some things to tend to, Ignis, since you are keen on the Raiders why don't you grab the chains?"
[21:43]?	Swiss_Provolone heads off to the clinic
[21:44]?	Firefly shrugs. "Don't know. Gonna fiddle with it till I get bored... or it fixes itself." The filly keeps fiddling.
[21:44]?	Ignis shrugs. "I tought that Swiss would want to do that...but...whenever."
[21:44]<SpiritOfFate>	"It's just the times. It's been hard to find a good meal, I had to save my magic lately. But I had a feeling things would get better soon." Antenna smiles. "How have you been, is everything working back at your place?"
[21:47]?	Sotho nods to Ignis and Firefly. "If you need my help please knock. I'm going to go and meditate." He says as he trots off.
[21:48]?	Royal_Lace smiles, "Just fine thank you, if a bit hectik at times. Of course my little Peppermint is such a hoof full but they they all are at that age". Lace looks around the store, "So how has business been here in last stop? I must say your work you did for us and my coleagues was most helpful. You wouldnt belive some of the things we have managed since"
[21:48]?	Firefly nods. "Kay." Fiddle fiddle.
[21:49]?	Full_Physical looks Swiss Provolone over "You don't look like you're hurt. Is there something I can do for you?"
[21:49]?	Sotho goes to a nice quiet spot to meditate
[21:49]?	Ignis nods as well. "Sure..." The dragon goes to fetch the chains...
[21:50]?	Swiss_Provolone shakes his head, "Nope, we've got some Sand Raiders outside who've all collasped before we could shoot 'em. We need somepony to take a look and see whats up. Could you spare some time?"
[21:52]<Full_Physical>	"Sand Raiders? I don't think I'm familiar with their type. What do you think is wrong with them?"
[21:53]<SpiritOfFate>	"I have heard rumors on the radio, looks like your place is doing pretty well." Antenna says. "Business here aren't so bad. I just got an order for a high power transceiver."
[21:53]?	Swiss_Provolone shrugs, "Drugs, probably. I ain't no medical pony, I just keep watch."
[21:55]<Full_Physical>	"Well, I've never met a Sand Raider before, I guess it could be fun. I'll take a look."
[21:56]?	Royal_Lace nods, "Sounds like interesting work, I Imagine a custom job like that takes quite a few caps". Glanceing back to Antenna she offers a knowing smile, "Or were other arangments made for payment? In any case your work is worth it dear, im sure that whoever is buying will be happy".
[21:56]?	Swiss_Provolone nods, "Follow me then. We'll be keeping guard should they try anything."
[21:56]?	Swiss_Provolone trots off to the prone ponies
[21:58]?	Full_Physical follows Swiss "All the Raiders I met in Equestria were psychotic drug addicted kleptoparasites, are these sand raiders any different?"
[21:59]<SpiritOfFate>	Antenna frowns a bit. "Nah, just caps. Good caps, but just caps."
[22:03]?	Royal_Lace retuns the frown, "Oh im sorry, did I say something a bit off color? I didnt mean to offend"
[22:03]?	Swiss_Provolone glances back "I've dealt with my fair share of Equestrian Raiders myself. These seem similar, crazy, drugged up. The only thing I really know about em is that if you put a bullet in em, they die."
[22:06]?	Ignis soon enough joins up with the duo, hauling a number of chains and such. "I don't like it...not at all..."
[22:06]<Full_Physical>	"That's all? Oh well, I'm sure you'll get the chance to learn all about them very soon."
[22:08]?	Swiss_Provolone snorts, "Don't worry kid, it'll go fine. Just keep your wits about you."
[22:10]<Full_Physical>	"What's the problem?"
[22:11]?	Firefly grumbles at the little box before tossing aside and flying out the door, and over to the others. "Stupid puzzles..."
[22:13]<Ignis>	"Let us just get over with it..."
[22:14]<Full_Physical>	"All right then, where are your guests?"
[22:16]?	Swiss_Provolone replies to Full_Physical's other question, "He thinks its a trap. Can't blame him, but I don't want to leave it uninvestigated." he says, adjusting his hat, "Should be just outside the settlement."
[22:18]<Full_Physical>	"How many of them are there? If you shoot one in the knee and the rest don't jump, I doubt it's a trick."
[22:18]<SpiritOfFate>	"No, don't worry." Antenna smiles. "Were you saying something about a picnic?"
[22:20]?	Swiss_Provolone "Should be six according to the Mud Ponies, havn't taken a look myself."
[22:21]?	Royal_Lace smiles, glad to put the hickup in an otherwise plesant conversation behind them. "Oh I was just saying this is excelent weather for one, actually come to think of it Pepperment has not been on one before"
[22:22]<Firefly>	"There supposed to be comatose, right?" The filly gently flies overhead.
[22:22]<Ignis>	"Let us just take one or two...no reason to haul six arses right into our base."
[22:24]?	Swiss_Provolone nods, "Doubt we'll gain much from the extras anyhow." looks up to Firefly, "Thats whats been reported."
[22:24]<SpiritOfFate>	"How is your"
[22:24]<Full_Physical>	"What if they really are comatose, will you just leave the rest for the radscorpions?"
[22:25]<SpiritOfFate>	"How is she?" Antenna asks.
[22:25]<Ignis>	"Tough luck for them...the radscorpions, that is."
[22:27]<Full_Physical>	"You guys are so mean."
[22:28]?	Swiss_Provolone keeps staring ahead, "Raiders and slaver haven't exactly earned any mercy from me."
[22:28]?	Royal_Lace smiles thinking about her daughter, mind going back to the small filly. "Oh she is wonderful, like I said a hoof full but strong like her father"
[22:31]?	Full_Physical shrugs "Lead the way."
[22:34]<SpiritOfFate>	She smiles and looks out of the window. "Sometimes I envy your kind. Anypony can have their own spawn."
[22:38]?	Royal_Lace follows her gaze and thinks for a bit, "Well perhapse you would like to meet her someday? shes a bit young for a trip across the city but your more than welcome to visit sometime, perhapse even for a picknick?"
[22:39]<SpiritOfFate>	"I would love that. How should I go?" She looks back at Royal_Lace, smiling.
[22:41]?	Royal_Lace looks a big confused, "You mean like traveling arrangments? If you would Like I can teleport us there, some dont like the sensation but I find it to be a rather convienent mode of transport".
[22:42]<Full_Physical>	"Gathering these raiders should be good fun, just make sure I don't get shot"
[22:42]<SpiritOfFate>	"Oh, no, I mean what should I look like? I wouldn't want to scare the little filly." Antenna says
[22:42]?	Swiss_Provolone chuckles, "We'll be keeping watch, don't worry."
[22:43]<Ignis>	"Sure thing."
[22:44]?	Royal_Lace blinks, "oh, I hadnt considered that. are you quite sure its nessisary?". Lace looks a bit unconvinced but dosent want to accidentally step on any social taboos she is unaware of.
[22:44]?	Full_Physical approaches the raiders and examines the scene
[22:44]?	Swiss_Provolone levitates out the Hunting Rifle and takes a look around through the scope
[22:46]<SpiritOfFate>	Past the barricades of Freedom mound, the group soon can find several ponies fallen on as street, all of them wearing sports armor and face paint. A number of bats and swords are by their side.
[22:47]<SpiritOfFate>	Antenna scrunches her muzzle. "I would need a meal before that, but I think it's better that way."
[22:47]?	Ignis stands his weapons ready...
[22:48]?	Swiss_Provolone lowers the rifle for a moment to levitate away the bats and swords
[22:49]?	Full_Physical walks up to a raider and whacks him in the knee with his rubber hammer harder than is necessary to check his reflexes, looking for signs of consciousness
[22:50]?	Royal_Lace nods, "Well if that is the case I suppose she has the most exposure to ponys of all sorts and zebras. As for the meal, that would be the reason for todays trip actually, to start living up to my end of our previous bargin... if thats ok", lace again feels like she is tip hooving around.
[22:50]?	Royal_Lace notes to try and look into changeling culture
[22:50]?	Firefly chills overhead, watching all of this.
[22:54]<SpiritOfFate>	They don't show any reaction to pain or reflexes. They are alive and seem to be breathing faintly, but there is no other response.
[22:56]<SpiritOfFate>	Antenna grins. "Oh, that's great!" She pauses and looks ashamed. "I mean, I wouldn't want to strain you too much. But... please."
[22:56]<Full_Physical>	"Huh, not even a kick, something fucked these ponies up good. Should we haul them back to town, or should I just try to wake them up here?"
[22:58]<SpiritOfFate>	The street is clear, there is nothing else of notice
[22:58]?	Swiss_Provolone glances over, "Do what you need to learn what you can here, if its something useful we'll bring back a couple and dispose of the rest. We're still clear so far as I can tell."
[22:59]?	Ignis just paws over the chains. "Let us just grab a couple before somepony else chances around here..."
[22:59]<Ignis>	"That is, if you're done, doc."
[23:00]?	Royal_Lace offers a small smile, "Oh dont worry, though this is my first time doing something quite like... this, SO! how do we go about this then?"
[23:05]<SpiritOfFate>	"You don't have to worry, I'll do everything. Just sit down, it can be a bit straining."
[23:06]?	Royal_Lace has a seet and nods, "A-alright then, and I just sit here?"
[23:06]?	Full_Physical examines the fallen raider
[23:09]<SpiritOfFate>	"Yes. Don't worry, I'll be quick." She opens her mouth and sucks. A golden trail floats from Royal_Lace's body to her. She drinks from it for a moment, Royal Lace feeling weaker and gloomier as she does. Then she closes her mouth and the rest of Royal Lace's aura returns
[23:10]?	Firefly continues to watch the prisoners... and the surroundings.
[23:11]<SpiritOfFate>	Full_Physical finds sign of it being drug related, but not involving your average street drugs. The raiders are completely  comatose and he can't tell when they will wake up
[23:14]<Full_Physical>	"Uh... well shit. The folks were definately on something, but it's not any drug that I'm familiar with. I don't even know when they'll wake up. Anyone around here know anything about alchemy?"
[23:15]?	Ignis watches over the raiders... "So doc... anything they took, if by chance, it would turn them into savage mutants...or whatever the hell...could you shed more light into what they wanted to do? Onto what they believed the drugs would do or so on"
[23:15]<Firefly>	"Mr. Sotho knows about alchemy." Firefly flies in lazy circles.
[23:16]?	Swiss_Provolone cocks an eyebrow, but continues keeping watch
[23:17]?	Full_Physical ecamines another pony
[23:19]<Full_Physical>	"I doubt they were injecting themselves with taint if that's what you mean."
[23:20]<Ignis>	"There has been...terribly suspicious developments on these lands about what drugs can do..."
[23:20]<SpiritOfFate>	The other raider is in the same condition. Unresponsive due to some unknown drug
[23:23]<Full_Physical>	"Well, sorry, I don't know how to wake them up. Best we can do is feed them, water them, and keep them out of the sun. If we sample their urine, maybe Sotho or my friend Kabosu can tell us what they took."
[23:23]?	Swiss_Provolone looks over, "Lets take a couple inside then, get rid of the rest."
[23:24]<Firefly>	"...We might want to keep them all. I mean, what if one of them knows something and we get rid of that one?" The filly looks more than a little uncomfortable with the suggestion.
[23:25]?	Ignis shakes his head. "Not worth the risk, still, we can monitor the rest from afar."
[23:26]?	Firefly shakes her head. "Then we can put them in a building! I mean, we got guns and they don't have any weapons. What trouble could they cause?"
[23:27]<Full_Physical>	"I don't see any reason we can't drag them under a roof at least."
[23:28]<Ignis>	"Its inconsequential."
[23:28]?	Swiss_Provolone sighs, "I think the security we've got can handle them disarmed and chained, granted the compound adds a risk. If you really think its worth the risk I'll keep guard, but any sign of trouble and I'm putting them down." he says firmly
[23:30]<Ignis>	"I vote against taking them all, it was agreed only a couple were to suffice...we have no evidence that more would be needed to gather info." He states firmly. "And they are a liability, I know damn well they are."
[23:30]<Full_Physical>	"Oh, did you mean you wanted to take them back to town? I was just going to disarm them, drag them into the nearest building with a roof and leave here."
[23:30]?	Firefly nods. "That's ok. I just don't think we should kill unconscious ponies. Even if they are probably bad ponies." The filly nods.
[23:31]?	Ignis shrugs. "Its your time doc...still, I don't think it'll make any difference for them."
[23:32]?	Full_Physical drags 4 unconscious ponies into the nearest building
[23:34]?	Swiss_Provolone continues to keep watch
[23:35]?	Ignis chains up the couple of raiders that were still left there, taking care that they were locked up secure.
[23:36]?	Full_Physical gathers the weapons
[23:39]?	Firefly flies up into the sky, looking around for a bit.
[23:44]<Full_Physical>	"Anyplace we can set these two up where other patients won't have to put up with their bullshit if they wake up?"
[00:03]<Full_Physical>	"Works for me, I could gather some equipment and put them on general supportive therapy."
[00:03]<Swiss_Provolone>	"You have a jail?" he asks
[00:04]?	Firefly shakes her head. "I don't think so... oooh! Let's make one!"
