  1. The important thing would be to make sure you make the most out of your potential to grow, meaning eating healthy foods, taking in those vitamins, and sleeping 8 hours a night. Sleep and food is crucially important, as almost all growth occurs while you are asleep. Without eating though, you won't grow much, even if you are sleeping a lot. Exercise is also important because it will boost HGH levels, and HGH helps you grow.
  2.
  3. But this much, you probably already knew. Now, I'll go over some MYTHS of height-gaining.
  4. 1. Drinking milk will make you grow taller. [of course, not enough calcium and other minerals will hinder growth, but too much will not do anything. Actually, too much milk will make your bones weaker. As you may know, bone is constantly melted and reformed slowly. Too much calcium, however, will accelerate that process and you will end up with only new bone, which is very weak.]
  5.
  6. 2. Hanging, stretching, and jumping will make you grow. [Hanging and stretching decompress the cartilage and disks between your vertebra and other joints, but this height gain is temporary. Gravity will return you to your normal height. The pressure does not turn cartilage into bone. Growing doesn't work that way. However, in terms of exercise, these are good things to do anyway.] [NOTE: hanging may increase height by straightening your spine aka fixing bad posture. The spine is an S shape, and hanging, pulls the S into a straight line, and height can be gained that way as well. But this is not actually growth, and is merely a change of posture.]
  7.
  8. 3. There are pills that will make you grow taller, even after puberty. [Don't trust them. They don't work. Also, most of them will incorporate some exercises, such as hanging, that will seem to have stimulated growth. No, pills won't work. Just get your nutrition from good food.
  9.
  10. 4. The shinbone method [By heavy exercise such as sprinting, one will create microfractures in the shin, and by ankle weights that pull them down, it is supposed that the bone will stretch and grow. This will not occur, because unlike surgery, the bone is still connected, and a estimated 25000 lb of force is required to pull the shinbone apart.
  11.
  12. Now, some people are desperate to gain height. There are ways that one can gain height and I will share the methods that are familiar to me, but note that serious consideration is needed before committing to these methods. Normal people should not resort to these methods. Also, I am merely providing information and am in no way encouraging these methods, not will I take any responsibility for any consequences. Please consider at your own risk.
  13.
  14. 1. Surgery. Basically, your Tibia, and maybe your Fibula too (your shin), will be sliced, and a brace will be fitted to keep a gap between your two halves of the bone. Your body will fill in the gap between the bone, and you will grow taller. However, note that this surgery was intended for those with serious needs, such as those with Dwarfism. Also, this surgery will take a very long time of commitment, as least half a year I believe, sorry if I don't remember correctly, and it is also very expensive.
  15.
  16. 2. HGH injections: By injecting HGH into the body, growth will be stimulated. However, this method is ineffective if the growth plates (epiphyseal plates) have already closed. I will not go into details here, but natural growth ends once these plates close. You can find out if they have by doing an X-ray. If those plate are closed, natural growth is over, period. Also, the injections are expensive and side effects will occur.
  17.
  18. Now, I am not sure about the following two methods, but they may or may not work.
  19.
  20. 1. Qigong. This is a meditative technique, and though I personally don't believe in it, it seems to have worked for some. Here is information on Qigong. http://www.naturalheightgrowth.com/2012/...
  21.
  22. 2. Lateral Synovial Joint Loading (LSJL). THis method seems to be the most viable, and there seems to be no proof yet of if it actually works. I am still researching this method, and I do not know if it works, but it seems to be the most viable. LSJL is very complicated, and I would explain here, but my answer is too long to submit. Please click the link http://www.naturalheightgrowth.com/2012/...
  23.
  24. I do not recommend that you try any of the above methods. I am not accountable for any consequences that may occur if attempted. You're only 14 years old, so you have a good umber of years left to grow. I wouldn't worry about it. You will probably end up as the same height as your siblings.
  25.
  26. I hope this helps.
