Glory backstory

Glory (then Damaia) grew up in [Generic Small Farming Town] where she took the fall for everything that could possibly be blamed on her, realistically or not. At the age of 11, she'd finally had enough, and ran away to [Generic Bustling City] where she eked out a life on the streets by joining a small band of urchin children. By 14, she had enough experience fighting that she signed up to be a gladiator in hopes of a better living. As time went on, she realized she could earn more favor from the crowd by playing up that which had gotten her hatred in every other aspect of her life -- her Infernal heritage. She started over in [Other Generic Bustling City] under the name Glory, and using a whip as her characteristic weapon. She learned to use thaumaturgy to create illusions and further play up her heritage, and quickly became a popular fighter.
Eventually, however, another gladiator, jealous of her success, drugged one of her opponents and framed her. She protested, but no one believed her innocence, and she had to flee [Other Generic Bustling City]. Now that she's out of a job, she's looking for new ways to earn glory for herself.

5'11" (~1.8m), average build, black eyes (according to the PHB, "with no visible schlera or pupil"), dark red (quite close to black, really) medium-length hair.
