Into the abyss
The station looks quiet tonight, all the ships parked in hangars, lights gleaming against the blackness of space. High Admiral Grey looks out the port in his ship Gaia's Wrath II as he prepares for departure. A voice calls over the comm, it's khelben ,the newest of the migratory crew, an engineer of remarkably good talent, or so he's heard. He doesn't yet know a whole lot of the guy but he shows promise.
"Roger that Officer, she's seen better days but she'll make it"
With a short acknowledgement from the engineer only a couple hundred meters away he  turns to walk to the other side of the bridge, looking at the camera view, the Kronos came into view, all retrofitted with docks. Various fleet ships which we wanted to take were mounted to the side,a sight truly to behold. Like a whale,armed to he gills, with a few sucker fish attached to it's hide.

Word from Menotius marked our journey as the ship scouting ahead dissappeared as it's cloaking system engaged. My heart raced  as I took the helm of my own large ship, engaging the jump drive shortly after the Kronos dissapeared from view. My view screen showed the stars distorting as we lurched into the first leap on our epic voyage.
