  2. The Unfinished Swan FAQ
  3. ------------------------
  4.
  5. Q: What is this game?
  6. A: The Unfinished Swan (TUS) is a small indie-adventure game for the Playstation 3. It's amazing and you should probably play it- and don't rush it!
  7.
  8. Q: Does anyone else run this game?
  9. A: Not that I know of.
  10.
  11. Q: Why are you speedrunning this game even though you say it shouldn't be rushed and nobody runs it?
  12. A: Having finished TUS several times completely and seeing how much I still love the game, I thought it would be fun to run this game as an additional challenge. It's a fun little side project of mine and I like having diversity in the games I speedrun.
  13.
  14. Q: Why are there 3 categories?
  15. A: Any% is straightforward- just beat it as fast as possible. I thought 100% was a bit silly to collect literally every trophy for this game and I consider 100% to be all collectables in a single playthrough. In otherwords, only obtaining the Chapter trophies, as well as the Balloonist, Page Turner and Telescopic trophies. I feel this is the best category due to getting the most out of the storyline on such an incredible game. All Trophies (AT%) is obviously collecting every available trophy, I don't like this this category and I don't take it seriously at all.
  16.
  17. Q: How are you recording/streaming PS3 gameplay?
  18. A: I'm using a Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition.
  19.
  20. Q: Where does the run start and end?
  21. A: For all categories, the run begins when 'Play' is selected on the main menu. For any% and 100%, timing finishes when the player no longer plays the game during final stage of the king's dream when the cutscene in which the sun explodes begins. All timing is obviously done in real time (RTA).
  22.
  23. Q: What's the world record?
  24. A: As far as I know, my times are the fastest recorded- possibly the only timed recording, so I suppose you could say I have the record with whatever time I have in whatever category I'm running.
  25.
  26. Current any% record: 33:13 RTA
  27. Current 100% record: 39:08 RTA
  28. Current AT% record: 47:25 RTA
