  3. for NeoTech
  4.
  5. A few ideas and suggestions for using suns in NeoTech.
  6.
  7. 1. Creation
  8. Inert Sun - first sun, crafted by the player. Made with compressed cobblestone (WIP) until of sufficient mass. Placed in the world then feed H2 from a Hydrogen Disperser (WIP) until ignition becoming a Blue Dwarf. H2 is created in the Electric Centrifuge using water (H2O).
  9.
  10. Blue Dwarf - offers low-level passive energy production. Continue to feed H2 until further ignition into a Small Sun.
  11.
  12. Small Sun - active power generation (see below). If feed H2, will output more plasma for power generation (see below). If feed more H2 than power output, will ignite into a Large Sun.
  13.
  14. Large Sun - increased power generation, can become unstable (see below). If feed plasma, can ignite into a Red Giant.
  15.
  16. Red Giant - final form. Largest power output. If feed plasma, may become a Black Hole.
  17.
  18. Black Hole - can be crafted from an unstable Red Giant. Used as a crafting recipe for Tesseracts (see below).
  19.
  20. 2. Power Generation
  21. Generating power from suns requires collecting the plasma the suns generate with a Plasma Collector (WIP). This acts like a temporary battery but the plasma will quickly degrade if not feed into a Plasma Generator (WIP). A Plasma Generator converts plasma into RF. Plasma can also be stored in a Magnetic Containment Unit (WIP). The MCU does require RF to maintain the field to safely hold and store plasma.
  22. Plasma Feeder (WIP): stored plasma can be feed back to a Large Sun (to make a Red Giant), or a Red Giant (to make a Black Hole). Plasma can be feed to a Blue Dwarf to make a Neutron Star. Neutron Star when broke will drop Neutron Metal ingots, the toughest metal in the game (ingots can be used as normal).
  23.
  24. 3. Instability
  25. Each type of sun runs the risk of various forms of instability.
  26. Blue Dwarf - if not made into a Small Sun, the Blue Dwarf will slowly revert back into an Inert Sun.
  27. Small Sun - if not feed enough H2 to maintain plasma generation, could revert back to a Blue Dwarf.
  28. Large Sun - if not feed enough H2 to maintain plasma generation, can revert back to a Small Sun. If feed to much H2 over plasma production, could go super nova (BOOM).
  29. Red Giant - if not feed enough H2 to maintain plasma production, could revert back to a Large Sun. If feed to much H2 over plasma production, could either go super nova, or become a Back Hole (either way its bad).
  30. Maintaining stability requires a balance between H2 feeding and plasma collection. Even though the suns look like spheres, they still have only 6 sides (basic cube). Using 3 Hydrogen Dispersers and 3 Plasma Collectors should maintain stability.
  31.
  32. 4. Tesseracts
  33. Black Holes can be used to make Tesseracts. Either break a Black Hole as a crafting mat, or make a Tesseract Frame, then click on the Black Hole to capture it. Tesseracts can be used to move items, fluids and energy between distances with out the need for pipes. As an option, an Item, Fluid or Energy Structure Pipe(s) can be thrown into a Tesseract to make Tesseract Pipe(s). Will degrade the Black Hole.
  34. Back Holes can also be used as a trash can.
