The circuit board inside is labeled PCB-103-V1-A HDMI SCART TO HDMI
The circuit board has a huge MST6M181VS-LF-Z chip on it + HDMI output chip + generic microcontroller on the other side
Identified as TLAH2H when connected to the PC on the HDMI input.

Test results
------------
- The picture is shifted to the right from RGB source (has a gap on the left and a part or the picture seems to be missing on the right)
- Does not work with AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable C875 (blank screen or glitched image).
- HDMI input is faulty (shifted image, random glitches)
+ Good picture quality
+ Supports 4:3 aspect ratio in 1024 x 768

=> Adding a HDMI splitter between the scaler and the Avermedia did not solve the problem


Chinese Generic #2

Model HDV-8S1
Looks the same as Chinese Generic #1
"HD Video Converter" on the top, has white line circling connectors and buttons
Almost half the price of Chinese Generic #1

Externally identical to Chinese Generic #1 but has a different circuit board.
The circuit board inside is labeled SCART/AV TO HDMI V2.0 0401
Has a small chip with a heatsink + HDMI output chip (same as above)
Identified as TLAH2H when connected to the PC on the HDMI input.

=> Probably a newer version of Chinese Generic #1 with less components resulting a cheaper build
=> Has the same functionality (and problems) as Chinese Generic #1

=> This device may be actually made by the chinese company Mealink under reference YL371

+ HDMI input looks good on screen (no glitch or shifted image) but is not perfect (has some processing). This is the only improvement compared to #1
+ Good picture quality
+ Supports 4:3 aspect ratio in 1024 x 768
