- -No sun or moon, four holes are 'punched' in space in the Sky, referred to as "Quarthoon's Gift" (after the last Vre'Yaggi Rasec before Wizzlbang) allow a gentle white light into the world, holes fluctuate in size becoming slightly brighter than a full moon at their largest, and almost pitch black at their smallest
- -"gravity" doesn't exist in a traditional sense, rather than a force from below pulling down, it's a force from above pushing down
- -While endlessly flat in all directions, the farther traveled from "known" Nix, the more abstract and less concrete things become, reality is loose and broken
- -things frequently fall in from other planes of existence, consequently
- -large amounts of neon in "atmosphere"
- -gold common to the point of being worthless, but commonly used in pipes in renictitlan, and buckshot for those craft enough to use firearms

- -Known Nix encompasses an area of several thousand square miles, interior Nix mostly flat grasslands, pockets of scrubland, marshes and rivers, southeast is the sea, southwest are sprawling thickets of strange plants and mountains, North are a series of mountains and deep valleys, northeast is a vast desert of blue sands, northwest are empty wastes and badlands, where barriers between worlds are thinnest. Beyond these points, reports are shaky and inconsistent

- -Viathalne: Impossibly long sea wyrm, legend speaks it's so long, it doesn't even have a head or tail end. Feeds on everything in the sea, and everything feeds on it

- -Gray skinned, spooky looking hairless Rat looking peeps. Extremely varied in culture, language, and distribution, "ghoulrat" being a human crafted blanket term for their species
- -Originally squirrel-looking, arrived in Nix long ago, genes manipulated and shaped into what they are today for better survivability by ancient Vre'Yaggi
- -immune to verity of toxins, disproportionately strong for their size, industrious and intelligent, but excessively impressionable
- -Cannot see the color Blue
- -Fructose is poisonous to them, makes them vomit
- -Range from hunter-gatherer societies to large citystates
- *Ghoulrat clans/tribes/factions*
- -Kathkatt: Primary tribe of the grasslands, largely nomadic traders, with a few large hub villages, Shamanistic, revere vre'Yaggi as their deities
- -Renict: Dwell in the refurbished ruins of the vre'Yaggi city Renictitlan, militaristic, emphasis on material wealth, primary government of Nix, ruled by the Rasec
- -Thriquill: Coastal fishermen, you want a boat built you go to them, among only peoples in Nix who can safely ingest its sea life, worship the sea spirit Viathalne
- -Nameless peacenik tribe: Dirty Hippie's on the back of Voon'kepal, closest to their original forms among ghoulrats
- *-Humans-*
- -(What is it with these things, they're everywhere)
- -Like many things, humans from all walks of life fall into Nix on occasion. Despite physical frailty, their behavioral adaptability ensures their survival. Depending on whether it was them, their father, or great great grandfather who fell in, Nixian humans come in three flavors
- Newcomers: Reclusive, hide away in strongholds amassing weapons/supplies. Frequently trade with ghoulrate tribes, Kattkath in particular.
- Immersibles: Few and far between, some more adaptable humans that have integrated themselves into the societies of other Nixian species. Most commonly among Renictian ghoulrats.
- Wanderers: Humans who have never seen a sun or a moon or a blue sky, Nixians from the day they're born to the day they die. Live nomadic lives in pirate/biker gang-like societies. Aint afraid of no Nixians. Notoriously short lifespans.
- *-Harthel-*
- -Seven feet, marble-like skin, no facial features to speak of save two large, blank eyes, Antler-like horn growths from plate-like forehead, Tails maybe
- -Speak telepathically, have males and females, but completely indistinguishable from eachother
- >don't eat or drink, methods of physical growth/energy acquisition unknown
- -Throw off a "fear aura", other sapient species irrationally terrified of them. Extended time in their company can lead to an immunity
- -Pacifistic, massive superiority complex, feel pity for other races
- -Greatly enjoy music, craft and play a verity of stringed instruments and drums
- -Live in Cobblestone cities deep in the spire thickets to the southwest of known nix
