[2011-02-12 17::50:29] Doink: [LOCATION: NERV HQ, ARKHAM, MASS.]
[2011-02-12 17::52:04] Doink: The sun is just dawning over the hills outside, the first rays of light trickling down through the collection towers into the Geofront below. But on this night, NERV has not been sleeping.
[2011-02-12 17::53:53] Doink: The pilots have been rushed back from the testing grounds and cleanup teams are hard at work retrieving the Evangelions. Or at least, all of their pieces.
[2011-02-12 17::56:31] Doink: Mia, at least, was taken back to NERV still in her entry plug, as her Eva suffered less damage than some. She is released from her plug to find herself in the Eva cages.
[2011-02-12 17::58:09] Mia_al-Misiri: is really quite shaken. She's all cried out, and walks slowly and painfully, distraught, and can only speak quietly, her voice blown out from all her shouting and crying.
[2011-02-12 17::59:21] Doink: Units 02 is there as well, although John is nowhere to be seen. The other Units are not present.
[2011-02-12 18::00:05] Doink: There are a minimum of techs around, most of their attention being devoted elsewhere.
[2011-02-12 18::00:16] Mia_al-Misiri: hobbles about and away, looking for a friendly face, not these people she doesn't know.
[2011-02-12 18::01:05] Doink: "Mia? Are you there?" You can hear a familiar voice calling out from down the catwalk.
[2011-02-12 18::01:46] Mia_al-Misiri: looks up with a gasp, eyes wide in surprise.
[2011-02-12 18::04:56] Doink: Dr. Al-Misiri approaches down the catwalk. "They let you out already? Are you alright?" A look of concern crosses his face as he reaches you. He looks tired.
[2011-02-12 18::05:59] Mia_al-Misiri: stops and stares as her eyes well up for a few moments before she starts sobbing again, standing on the spot.
[2011-02-12 18::06:57] Doink: He reaches out awkwardly and places a hand on your shoulder. "It's... its alright. You don't have to cry. You did fine."
[2011-02-12 18::07:39] Mia_al-Misiri: sniffs, and continues, only flinching slightly at being touched.
[2011-02-12 18::08:02] Mia_al-Misiri: "...I don't want to do this! It's awful!"
[2011-02-12 18::11:36] Doink: "I know." He removes his hand just as awkwardly. "The world is... just kind of like that."
[2011-02-12 18::12:53] Mia_al-Misiri: calms down a tiny bit, but continues.
[2011-02-12 18::13:23] Mia_al-Misiri: "It's okay with the big whales and things but this is... aaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAA"
[2011-02-12 18::13:46] Mia_al-Misiri: stamps her foot repeatedly and pulls at her hair.
[2011-02-12 18::13:59] Doink: He nods. "It's harder when they're... more like you."
[2011-02-12 18::14:19] Mia_al-Misiri: finds an A-10 clip with her right hand and throws it at the floor.
[2011-02-12 18::14:34] Mia_al-Misiri: "I don't know I don't know I don't know!!!"
[2011-02-12 18::17:20] Doink: Your father frowns to himself. "You did well, though. You did everything you could, and I'm proud of you for that."
[2011-02-12 18::18:10] Mia_al-Misiri: "But whyyyyy do we have too??? It's just..."
[2011-02-12 18::18:21] Mia_al-Misiri: resumes sobbing.
[2011-02-12 18::20:53] Doink: "Because..." Al-Misiri stops to think for a moment.
[2011-02-12 18::21:09] Doink: "...Do you want me to show you?"
[2011-02-12 18::22:17] Mia_al-Misiri: steps back, annoyed.
[2011-02-12 18::22:22] Mia_al-Misiri: "Show me what?"
[2011-02-12 18::24:02] Doink: "Why this is happening. All of this. I—" he breaks off again. "I'm sorry, Mia. I just want to try and help you understand. It's not something that can be so easily answered."
[2011-02-12 18::24:50] Mia_al-Misiri: "...But I don't understand anything! It's all just... I don't know! It's all just weird!"
[2011-02-12 18::28:09] Doink: He nods. "I know it is. They speak of the 'Strange Aeon' for a reason."
[2011-02-12 18::28:26] Doink: "But it can be understood. Especially by you."
[2011-02-12 18::29:04] Mia_al-Misiri: at least has stopped sobbing. She just looks up at him, her mouth hanging slightly open, looking entirely confused.
[2011-02-12 18::32:02] Doink: Al-Misiri: "Even Hastur recognized you. You're—you're more than just a normal human being."
[2011-02-12 18::32:58] Doink: "So please don't be sad. If something is bothering you, of all the people—no, all the beings in this world, you are the one most capable of doing something about it."
[2011-02-12 18::35:30] Mia_al-Misiri: "...I don't know who that is though!"
[2011-02-12 18::36:20] Doink: "Er... the being that has take over the unfortunate Jeanne. But that's not the point!"
[2011-02-12 18::37:45] Mia_al-Misiri: stares in silence again.
[2011-02-12 18::39:53] Doink: Al-Misiri sags. "I'm sorry. I've lost you again, and I'm not sure how to explain..."
[2011-02-12 18::40:59] Mia_al-Misiri: "But I don't even... aah I don't understand!"
[2011-02-12 18::41:07] Mia_al-Misiri: stamps her foot repeatedly on the spot.
[2011-02-12 18::41:51] Doink: "...Tomorrow. I will show you tomorrow." The Doctor nods to himself, as if deciding on something important.
[2011-02-12 18::42:11] Doink: "Is that good? It might help you understand."
[2011-02-12 18::42:24] Mia_al-Misiri: looks despaired up at him.
[2011-02-12 18::43:23] Mia_al-Misiri: tries to speak, but doesn't say anything.
[2011-02-12 18::44:47] Doink: "For now... do you want to go somewhere else? I can take you back to Ward hall if you'd like, or... we can see if any of the other pilots are out of their debriefings?"
[2011-02-12 18::45:20] Mia_al-Misiri: makes a "muh" sound, which sounds vaguely affirmative.
[2011-02-12 18::48:48] Doink: "Well... shall we go then?" He holds out a hand awkwardly, as if half-expecting no response.
[2011-02-12 18::49:15] Mia_al-Misiri: nods, looking at his hand.
[2011-02-12 18::51:18] Doink: The Doctor turns the held out hand into a gesture to follow, then. "This way. We'll get you out of your plugsuit first..."
[2011-02-12 18::53:51] Mia_al-Misiri: takes his hand after a long hesitation.
[2011-02-12 18::54:50] Doink: He seems a little surprised. But he takes hers, and leads her off towards the exit.
