- i know you were kinda fading during the bit with the lamplighters so let me start there. Sybil walked up and said she was looking for Weevil, and the guy at the door pulled her inside, very rudely. he sat her down in a chair and a dude with a mustache set up a chair in front of her. he asked why she was looking, she said he pissed off a noble, he said Weevil was his client and doorman pulled a knife. the second a pulled a knife, Sybil stabbed a dagger into mustache's shoulder, doing a sneak attack-assassinate combo. she then used him as a human shield, threw a lamp into the pitch-black entry room she came through, and backed her way out of the building. she found Genrin and the two ran back to get the information as a team. we killed the doorman, Genrin ran off and killed some more kids, and Sybil found mustache again. she asked him about his client, he spilled the beans, and they went north to find him.

- Okay so we didn't actually finish

- oh sorry we did. i had to walk away for a bit. we went through the fort that we assumed Erza went to after we left Woodside. her ending was she ended up losing track of Sybil and Genrin, went to the fort, found out the captain she was looking for was corrupt, and got him. we went to the town, and found it completely empty. like, no people milling about at 8-9am. all we found were a scorching mark at the entrance of the town, no sign of perishible food or valuables, the body of Weevil with two wooden stakes stabbed into his eyes, and a druid who look liked he'd been crumpled like a ball of paper. after Genrin buried the druid, a Khandari war horn sounded and a bit over a dozen Khandari landed in the town. Raulf hid and Genrin turned into a wolf and ended up getting the leader's attention. the leader messed Genrin UP and Raulf tried to provide cover fire but it was not great. we ended up killing one of their cat mounts but the leader, who was a paladin, survived with his Khandari and we ended up spliting ways. he had no interest in a non-honorable battle and that's all Sybil/Raulf knows. we went back, got paid, and that was pretty much it.
- the main bit was the spikes through Weevil's eyes. the way it would be framed as a television show or something, the Dawnbringers ended up at Cirencester and saw the man with spikes through his eyes at the gate, and then boom, a little bit of vague backstory of what whoever is in Cirencester was doing before ending up there

- Oh, sad. But all right.
- Oh, not sure if I understand?

- okay so, here's what i gathered, as a viewer and not as Sean who has all the answers. when we talked to the sailor in Woodside and he mentioned a big weird ship passing by, i'm working under the assumption that the big ship came from the northern town we ended in. when we got to that town, we found a wicked dead druid and Weevil. Weevil had wooden spikes in both his eyes, like the person the Dawnbringers found outside Cirencester two weeks ago, implying that maybe the people that killed Weevil are the ones in Cirencester now.
- so now, if my theory is right, whoever is in Cirencester now, was heavily involved in the assassination the one-shot crew was figuring out. they hired Weevil to hire an assassin to kill a Mask in Culvet, but Culvet captured the assassin and ratted out Weevil. he ran away to try and disappear, and we assumed it was because Culvet would want him back, but maybe not. maybe he was hiding from our mystery ship. but they found him, murdered him, and did a bunch of weird stuff in the town. we don't know what's up with the scorch mark, we don't know what's up with all the people migrating away, we don't know about the druid dying and his dead druid grove thing. we assume they aren't Khandari since they showed up after the exodus and murders. also, Sybil isn't overly familiar with magic, so she couldn't make some kind of connection with the wooden stakes in Weevil's eyes. so there's probably some nasty magic business there.

- the other interesting thing is that whatever caused the exodus from the town probably knew that Khandari raiders were incoming. it didn't feel like a panicked escape, it felt like they casually collected their food and any moderately valuable knick-knacks and left. we didn't find enough scorch marks (which smelled like ozone, so like a lightning strike) to imply that all the people were wiped out or anything. it also looked too clean for a raid. my guess, someone came to this town on the huge boat, murdered the druid and Weevil, warned the people of the Khandari raid coming soon, then maybe brought the town with them?

- Long story short:
- Chased a wanted criminal to Woodside. Investigated. Fought and killed a few members of a gang. Learned the criminal wasn't in the city. Chased after him. Found him dead in an otherwise abandoned village (killed in a similar manner to the guy at Cirencester). Encountered and skirmished with a party of Khandari led by a paladin. Then returned back to the capitol to report and get paid.
