  3. You cannot copyright the news. You can however rewrite and source it. Everyone does it. CNN does it. Go read some of their articles, "According to Newsweek magazine" "According to local affiliate KKTV" ect. My website has original articles, its not all just 'rewriting'. I work with the BNO News' team on reporting of national/international stories. We get Press Releases like every other news organization, we call local police/fire/government officials like every other news organization. We have true original sources.

  5. On the showtime 2 article - Would you rather me not link to EW.com and just write from the Press Release? Would that make you feel better? I gave Lynnette credit because she was first with the story.

  7. Don't talk to me about ethics when you clearly don't have any. You don't even bother rewriting or reporting from original sources  - YOU copy/paste the articles as is, and in the case with EW.com you didn't even bother giving them a link back. I vaguely remember you getting a C&D last year for doing just that with them.

  9. As for driving traffic to my site. 1. None of the links I have on Jokers drive enough traffic to sustain a website, so no that is NOT my desire. I get most of my traffic from Google News 2. I gave Jokers permission to post in full the entirety of all of my articles. 3. I offered Ette to put JU RealPlayer ads on my site, so that JU would get all the signups, she declined - but that offer stills stands.

  11. I'm for a partnership that isn't just one way. I want to put links that send people to Jokers to discuss/chat. But, if this is the reaction I'm getting for a board leader, why should I even bother.

  13. Don't tell me to piss off and not PM you about such matters. I was civil in my PM, showed my frustration sure, but I was civil. Seriously board members, hell, fellow staff members of Jokers can't PM each other asking why certain decision were made?
