Man fights off “terrorist” with broom

It was 1:00AM at night, I was fast a-sweep until I heard a banging sound.
“What was that?” asked my broom-mate.
“Not sure. I’ll check the front door.”
“Be careful!”
I nodded. I usually had a pretty good handle on things like these anyway. Grabbing the first thing I saw, a broom, I went downstairs to check out the ruckus.
Whatever was ahead, I was ready.

As I approached the door, it suddenly flew open; Before I knew it, I was faced to face with a knifed terrorist with nothing but this dusty old broom I had.
“Not again….” I grumbled. How many times has this happened this week?
Sighing, I held my weapon out in front of me, and they held theirs.
He quickly lunged at me with full force, but it wasn’t enough. I stepped to the side and tripped them with my broom.
I then begun to furiously beat them with the bristly end of the broom until their breath ran out.
“Another one bites the dust.”
