- Pokémon OR/AS Wonder Trade Rules
- 1. General Rules
- 1.1 - The wireless must be turned off when you are not using the Wonder Trade feature.
- 1.2 - You must choose Mudkip as your starter, as he can learn all required HMs in order to beat the game.
- 1.3 - You are allowed to catch Pokemon BUT you must Wonder Trade them immediately, and they must fit the criteria of the last forced Wonder Trade (i.e. a Pokemon caught at Mauville must be between 1-15, but at Fortree it can be 40)
- 1.4 - You may not catch Kyogre/Groudon (This is just because deleting there signature move to Wonder Trade is a hassle no one wants to deal with)
- 1.5 - Exp Share must be turned off at all times, to avoid "accidently" using Mudkip.
- 2. Wonder Trade
- 2.1 - Prior to race
- 2.1.1 - You must catch a Pokemon prior to heading to Petalburg City
- 2.1.2 - Wonder trade this Pokemon away until you receive a Pokémon between the level 1 and 15.
- 2.1.3 - If you receive a level 4 or below Pokémon, level it up to level 5.
- 2.1.4 - Make sure the Pokémon you have received is not part of the banned list.
- 2.2 - During race (the following gift Pokémon must be Wonder Trade as soon as you receive them)
- 2.2.1 - Latias/Latios [5 tries maximum, under level 41]
- 2.2.2 - Castform [unlimited tries, under level 46]
- Pokémon over the level threshold or legendary Pokémon do not count as tries.
- 3. HM Slaves (the following pokémon can/should be used for your HM slaves)
- 3.1 - Mudkip: Rock Smash/Strength/Surf/Dive/Waterfall (You can delete Rock Smash at Lilycove to make room for later HMs if required)
- 3.2 - Fly: Is not required to beat the game, and is only used once in the run. If you want it, get lucky with Wonder Trades.
- You are allowed to use other Pokémon for the HMs, but Mudkip must stay in your party.
- 4. Starting point (before you ready up for the race makes sure the following is done)
- 4.1 - You have completed Wally's tutorial and are on the tile after exiting the Petalburg Gym
- 4.2 - You have Mudkip in your party.
- 4.3 - You have another Pokémon in between level 5 and 15 in your party.
- 5. Banned Pokémon List
- 5.1 - Legendaries (always banned):
- Generation 1: Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres/Mewtwo/Mew
- Generation 2: Raikou/Entei/Suicune/Lugia/Ho-Oh/Celebi
- Generation 3: Regirock/Regice/Registeel/Latias/Latios/Kyogre/Goudron/Rayquaza/Jirachi/Deoxys
- Generation 4: Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf/Dialga/Palkia/Heatran/Regigigas/Giratina/Cresselia/Manaphy/Darkrai/Shaymin/Arceus
- Generation 5: Victini/Cobalion/Terrakion/Virizion/Tornadus/Thundurus/Reshiram/Zekrom/Landorus/Kyruem/Keldeo/Meloetta/Genesect
- Generation 6: Xerneas/Yveltal/Zygarde/Diancie/Volcanion/Hoopa
- 5.2 - Shit/everywhere Pokes (Only for first Pokemon, you can keep if you want but aren't forced to):
- Generation 1: Caterpie/Metapod/Weedle/Kakuna/Pidgey
- Generation 3: Wurmple/Cascoon/Silcoon/Zigzagoon/Poochyena/Ralts
- Generation 4: Kricketot/Burmy
- Generation 5: Pansear/Pansage/Panpour
- Generation 6: Scatterbug/Spewpa/Flabébé/Bunnelby
- If the Pokemon does not have an attacking move (I.e. only has Growl) you may also send it back. If it only has a Psychic or Electric attacking move (I.e only confusion) you may also send it back
- 5.3 OP Things/Not different (banned only for your first Pokémon):
- Mudkip/Torchic/Treecko/Lucario
