  1. <Alexander_Pyrite> Alex touches down hard in the land of
  2. <Alexander_Pyrite> ((what was it again))
  3. <Faerzen_Norstov> ((LOWAB, land of wicks and bulbs))
  4. <Faerzen_Norstov> You see the area around Faerzen's house essentially the same as when you last left it.
  5. <Faerzen_Norstov> However, the world as a whole has changed a LOT.
  6. <Faerzen_Norstov> Ever since that massive blast of light you saw come from here, it's looked different in the sky, and you can now see why.
  7. <Faerzen_Norstov> The tall rocks spire/islands are still here, but all of the darkness has gone.
  8. <Faerzen_Norstov> The spires are much shorter, now more like towers rather than immensely high needles immense distances above a sea of darkness.
  9. <Faerzen_Norstov> The ground below is covered in various dirt paths, and is dotted with trees and flowers.
  10. <Faerzen_Norstov> The bright orange and yellow orbs of light in the sky still hang there, bathing everything in a pleasantly warm, albeit borderline uncomfortably bright, light.
  11. <Faerzen_Norstov> There's a couple small buildings down below in the distance in various directions.
  12. <Faerzen_Norstov> ==>
  13. <Alexander_Pyrite> I check out all the stuff there is to see now the darkness is gone and say "whew"
  14. <Alexander_Pyrite> I follow faerzen's oinstructions to his location
  15. <Faerzen_Norstov> One of the buildings has some sort of statue nearby, so you'd guess that's the one.
  16. <Faerzen_Norstov> You depart towards that one.
  17. <Faerzen_Norstov> Shortly after you leave, a shower of bright yellow sparks cascades around the area, signalling you as Faerzen said.
  18. <Faerzen_Norstov> ==>
  19. <Alexander_Pyrite> I head for it then.
  20. <Faerzen_Norstov> After a while, you get there.
  21. <Alexander_Pyrite> wow
  22. <Faerzen_Norstov> It's a decently large building made of tan stone, but it looks very old and parts of it are crumbling somewhat.
  23. <Faerzen_Norstov> Inside the windows you can see it looks like a library.
  24. <Faerzen_Norstov> Faerzen is sitting at a table in a garden in a courtyard in the center of the area.
  25. <Alexander_Pyrite> I run towards him
  26. <Alexander_Pyrite> "Faerzen you're alive!"
  27. <Faerzen_Norstov> Looks like she's a she right now, and she's wearing a long flowing black robe that's slightly fuzzy and with a large hood pulled up over her head.
  28. * Faerzen_Norstov turns to Alex, smiling
  29. <Faerzen_Norstov> Laid out in front of her are a number of books and papers.
  30. <Faerzen_Norstov> You recognize Regent Crown, Regent Book, and Abyss, amongst a number of other books and notes.
  31. <Alexander_Pyrite> "jeez are you replicating the library of comgress"
  32. <Faerzen_Norstov> What does Alex look like right now?
  33. <Alexander_Pyrite> "whatever, how are you alive?"
  34. <Alexander_Pyrite> in a suit, with gold gAUNTLETS on
  35. * Faerzen_Norstov raises an eyebrow, standing up and walking towards Alex
  36. * Faerzen_Norstov pulls off her dark hood, and extends her hand for a handshake
  37. <Faerzen_Norstov> "It is truly most excellent to see you, Alex. As much as I am hesitant to admit.... seeing another familiar face after so long is quite nice."
  38. <Alexander_Pyrite> "so long?'
  39. <Alexander_Pyrite> "its been like"
  40. <Alexander_Pyrite> "a fwe days? right?"
  41. * Faerzen_Norstov lowers her hand
  42. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Since we entered, yes."
  43. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I am afraid I took a rather.... circuitous route to reach this point."
  44. <Alexander_Pyrite> "oh ok"
  45. <Alexander_Pyrite> "like lyra right?"
  46. <Alexander_Pyrite> "ive just decided not to ask at this point"
  47. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I apologize for being out of contact for some time, there were a number of factors outside of my control that prevented me from transmitting any information or communication of any sorts."
  48. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I am uncertain to which part of Lyra's travels you are referring, but I have been time-traveling if that is what you mean."
  49. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Juan was most helpful in that regard."
  50. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I have been essentially alone for about a week."
  51. * Faerzen_Norstov looks down at her lengthy black robes, frowning
  52. <Faerzen_Norstov> "So long, in fact, that I had entirely forgotten these are unnecessary now. I no longer need to hide."
  53. <Alexander_Pyrite> "ah mr time travel"
  54. <Alexander_Pyrite> "I hope youre doing ok"
  55. * Faerzen_Norstov fiddles with a control panel inside the robes, and the outfit morphs into a knee-length glittering gold dress.
  56. * Faerzen_Norstov sighs
  57. <Faerzen_Norstov> "To be perfectly honest, I am exhausted."
  58. <Faerzen_Norstov> "But yes, I am doing well."
  59. <Alexander_Pyrite> "that seems to make sense"
  60. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Given this game, doing well seems to be quite the feat these days."
  61. <Alexander_Pyrite> "im only oding well due to some crazy bullshit with some god dude whos more like god than a god"
  62. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Hmm?"
  63. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I am afraid explaining my recent activities may be more difficult than if you were to do the same, so let us start with you."
  64. <Alexander_Pyrite> "have you not heard about the whole figghting bull"
  65. <Alexander_Pyrite> "i made a wish to some dude who was reaping lyras soul"
  66. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Yes. I was aware of that."
  67. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Were you able to use said wish as you mentioned you were hoping to endeavor to?"
  68. <Alexander_Pyrite> Alex chuckles a bit"
  69. <Alexander_Pyrite> "whoo yes"
  70. <Alexander_Pyrite> "yes i was"
  71. <Faerzen_Norstov> "The Black King?"
  72. <Alexander_Pyrite> "dead, multiple times"
  73. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Multiple? How do you mean?"
  74. <Alexander_Pyrite> "he just used some bullshit regen ability"
  75. <Alexander_Pyrite> "died a couple times, or at least i almost did"
  76. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Were there any prototypes that seemed to cause any particular annoyance or difficulty?"
  77. <Alexander_Pyrite> "nah they all just got mixed together. Didnt notice them"
  78. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I fear the regeneration ability may have come from my prototyping, though that is only a hypothesis and I may be jumping to conclusions."
  79. <Faerzen_Norstov> "There are other possibilities as well."
  80. <Alexander_Pyrite> "what did you add?"
  81. <Alexander_Pyrite> 'There was some singing that was obnoxious"
  82. <Faerzen_Norstov> "That was not me."
  83. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I prototyped a copy of the video game Minecraft."
  84. <Faerzen_Norstov> "The final boss in that game is capable of regenerating quite significantly."
  85. <Alexander_Pyrite> "ah cool"
  86. <Alexander_Pyrite> "didnt notice any gamey things"
  87. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I am quite glad to hear that you were victorious!"
  88. <Alexander_Pyrite> "me too believe me"
  89. <Alexander_Pyrite> "i got stabbed not knowing if it was going to work"
  90. * Faerzen_Norstov reaches into the glittering gold dress to fiddle with the control panel
  91. <Faerzen_Norstov> Her attire switches to a suit of armor you immediately recognize as Dersian guard attire, and her face turns pitch black and shiny.
  92. <Faerzen_Norstov> Had you not seem the transformation you would have thought you had encountered a Dersian.
  93. <Faerzen_Norstov> "If it is of any additional encouragement...."
  94. * Faerzen_Norstov smirks
  95. <Alexander_Pyrite> "what the fuck"
  96. <Faerzen_Norstov> "The Queen is dispatched as well."
  97. <Alexander_Pyrite> "oh did you assassinate her?''
  98. <Alexander_Pyrite> "niiice"
  99. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I collected a great deal of information on the inner workings of the Royal Court, and I infiltrated the castle."
  100. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I dissolved her slowly and painfully in a pool of acid and carapace-dissolving enzymes."
  101. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I believed it would have been a death Lyra would have approved of."
  102. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I also have her ring."
  103. * Faerzen_Norstov returns her outfit back to the knee-length gold dress and she raises her hand to show off a glittering ring
  104. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I intend to guard it carefully. It is of little use to us, but we ought not to let it fall into the wrong hands."
  105. <Alexander_Pyrite> "what does it do?
  106. <Faerzen_Norstov> "It grants the wearer significant power related to the sum of all the prototypings."
  107. <Faerzen_Norstov> "However, it is only effective if the wearer is of a particular biological structure, namely carapacian."
  108. <Faerzen_Norstov> "So, as you can see, it does nothing to me."
  109. <Alexander_Pyrite> "ah"
  110. <Alexander_Pyrite> "well"
  111. <Alexander_Pyrite> "do we know any nice carapacians?'
  112. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I met several on Prospit before I fled for my life."
  113. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Perhaps we can return it to a more favorable carapacian at a later date, but I believe we should retain it for now. Particularly given what may happen in the near future."
  114. <Faerzen_Norstov> "That, Alex, is where you come in."
  115. <Faerzen_Norstov> "What is the current status of the Black King's scepter?"
  116. <Alexander_Pyrite> "i..."
  117. <Alexander_Pyrite> "dont know"
  118. <Alexander_Pyrite> "i left before retrieving it"
  119. <Faerzen_Norstov> "We will be needing it."
  120. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Come."
  121. * Faerzen_Norstov walks back to the table, gesting for Alex to follow
  122. * Faerzen_Norstov sits down, patting the seat next to her
  123. <Alexander_Pyrite> I follow and sit
  124. <Faerzen_Norstov> "As a sidenote, Regent Crown and Abyss wish to express their regards to you."
  125. * Faerzen_Norstov tidies up the workspace slightly
  126. <Faerzen_Norstov> "As you can see, I have been working on a decent quantity of mathematics."
  127. * Faerzen_Norstov gestures to a holographic display of what looks like two parallel planes
  128. <Faerzen_Norstov> The two planes bulge towards each other in a slow animation, eventually touching and merging, pulling the two planes together.
  129. <Faerzen_Norstov> "This."
  130. <Alexander_Pyrite> "Woah"
  131. <Alexander_Pyrite> "what in the heck
  132. <Faerzen_Norstov> "This is what I have developed."
  133. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I propose a plan to merge our session with the one Lyra has departed into."
  134. <Faerzen_Norstov> There are a number of risks associated with such a significant endeavor, but I believe I have accounted for the most severe variables to maximize the probability of our success."
  135. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Plus, I have plenty of luck I throw our way myself."
  136. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I sincerely hope that I will have a sufficient quantity."
  137. <Faerzen_Norstov> "We shall have to see."
  138. <Alexander_Pyrite> "wait"
  139. <Alexander_Pyrite> "if we do this mergy thing, will the carapacians be ok?"
  140. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Shall I give you a brief explanation?"
  141. <Alexander_Pyrite> "sure"
  142. <Faerzen_Norstov> "There is a metaphysical barrier between our two sessions, an inherent property of two objects separated in Paradox Space."
  143. <Faerzen_Norstov> "We are in one location, and they are in another, and to traverse from one to the other requires a great deal of energy."
  144. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Regent Book was able to use his significant reserves of lawful power to banish Maskwraith at the trial. As such, that barrier was overcome."
  145. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Lyra was similarly able to use her powers to overcome the barrier and transport herself to the other session."
  146. <Faerzen_Norstov> "One possible strategy that would be technically safer is to collect enough energy to individually transport everything in one session over to the other."
  147. <Faerzen_Norstov> "However, according to my calculations, the amount of energy required to do so would be astronomically and prohibitively large."
  148. <Faerzen_Norstov> "If it is difficult to transport a single person, transporting multiple large planets is simply completely infeasible."
  149. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Instead, as is often the case in chemical reactions as well, what is a much easier solution is to simply reduce the barrier between the two states."
  150. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Instead of providing a ton of energy to overcome the large barrier, we could simply make the barrier smaller, or remove it all-together."
  151. <Faerzen_Norstov> "If we are able to provide a pathway that is easy for a connection to be made, then the sessions could merge as I illustrated in that animation."
  152. <Faerzen_Norstov> "We make an easy spot of transition here at the point where these touch, and then through that point of contact, the whole rest of the session is able to merge."
  153. <Alexander_Pyrite> "so how do we do that"
  154. <Alexander_Pyrite> "get that much energy
  155. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Yes, it is a large amount of energy still, but it is nowhere near as much as if we wanted to directly transport the whole session."
  156. <Faerzen_Norstov> "That energy also must be of a particular interdimensional variety."
  157. <Faerzen_Norstov> "As it so happens, the Kings' scepters are a source of such energy."
  158. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Were we to collect one scepter on either side, coordinate them to be in the same metaphysical location, and then coordinate a strike from both sides simultaneosly...."
  159. <Faerzen_Norstov> "We would have enough energy to break down this barrier and allow the sessions to merge."
  160. <Alexander_Pyrite> "alright that makes sense"
  161. <Faerzen_Norstov> "That is where your role is, Alex."
  162. <Alexander_Pyrite> "lets go grtab it then"
  163. <Faerzen_Norstov> "There are a number of risks to this plan."
  164. <Faerzen_Norstov> "One of them you have already mentioned."
  165. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Firstly, and most dangerously, is the strike itself. We are swinging around a great deal of energy."
  166. <Faerzen_Norstov> "If it is not applied precisely in the right way, we could instead shatter the barrier and that could lead to immense devasation in both sessions."
  167. <Faerzen_Norstov> "That is what I hope to personally address."
  168. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I have marked a specific metaphysical location and am capable of transmitting that locational information via Light to the other session."
  169. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Both of us can then strike the same point at the same time."
  170. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Even then, however, striking such a precise location simultaneously will be difficult."
  171. <Faerzen_Norstov> "That is where I endeavor to throw all the good fortune I can muster behind the effort to maximize the probability of success."
  172. * Faerzen_Norstov pulls out a pair of 6-sided dice
  173. <Alexander_Pyrite> "ok so many questiosn but im gonan gonna skip them"
  174. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Name a number between 2 and 12."
  175. <Alexander_Pyrite> 4
  176. * Faerzen_Norstov tosses the dice very high up into the air, letting them clatter down to the table where they roll a 4
  177. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Like so."
  178. <Alexander_Pyrite> "if this were anyone else id say chance"
  179. <Alexander_Pyrite> was*
  180. <Alexander_Pyrite> alex probably doens use subunctive
  181. * Faerzen_Norstov rolls a couple more 4s
  182. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I do not know if it will be sufficient, but it will likely be necessary to ensure successful spatial and temporal synchronization."
  183. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Being a Light player has its distinct advantages."
  184. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Anyways, I am becoming sidetracked. I informed you this would be brief and I fear I have severely failed at this."
  185. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I must address your concern."
  186. <Alexander_Pyrite> "the people of this unicerse yeah?'
  187. <Faerzen_Norstov> "The three remaining significant issues once this strike occurrs successfully all pertain to the merge itself."
  188. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Yes, those living here, particularly on Prospit and Derse."
  189. <Faerzen_Norstov> "The sessions will merge, and all objects in both sessions will reside in one session together."
  190. <Faerzen_Norstov> "This requires three things to be synchronized between the sessions."
  191. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Space."
  192. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Time."
  193. <Faerzen_Norstov> "And Skaia."
  194. <Faerzen_Norstov> "If the flows of time are not synchronized, nothing will be able to exist in the same area and we will end up with great inconsistencies in the flow of time from the two sessions."
  195. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Time does not function normally in the space between our sessions."
  196. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Fortunately, Juan has taken care of this already with his land."
  197. <Faerzen_Norstov> "He has created an enormous temporal anchor that will perportedly address this problem."
  198. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Secondly, the two sessions' Skaias will merge."
  199. <Faerzen_Norstov> "This is critical as they are necessary for creating the new universe."
  200. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Fortunately, my research seems to indicate they are already inherently designed to merge and heal one another, so I do not anticipate any issues there."
  201. <Faerzen_Norstov> "The final issue, the one you raise, pertains to space."
  202. <Faerzen_Norstov> "The two sessions will be spatially superimposed."
  203. <Faerzen_Norstov> "In most cases, that will likely not be an issue as I do not believe that there are any duplicate planets between the sessions."
  204. <Faerzen_Norstov> "When the two sessions merged previously, our planets appeared interwoven amongst one another with no issue."
  205. <Faerzen_Norstov> "There was, however, one significant problem."
  206. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Do you remember the Prospit and Derse explosions?"
  207. <Alexander_Pyrite> "course course"
  208. <Alexander_Pyrite> "yes i do"
  209. <Faerzen_Norstov> "That was a result of both individual sessions having a Prospit and a Derse, and when the two sessions merged, they collided."
  210. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I find it a very reasonable possibility that this could happen again on this merger."
  211. <Faerzen_Norstov> "If it does, it will almost assuredly lead to significant loss of carapacian life in the current circumstances."
  212. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I have no guarantee that this will occur, but it is a possibility believe we ought not to rule out."
  213. <Faerzen_Norstov> "You said you were attempting to save carapacians?"
  214. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Do you have any ideas or insights into how we could address this problem?"
  215. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I do believe Life is your expertise."
  216. <Alexander_Pyrite> "So they tell me"
  217. <Alexander_Pyrite> "if the space is going"
  218. <Alexander_Pyrite> "dont we need to not worry about the carapacianc"
  219. <Faerzen_Norstov> "What do you mean?"
  220. <Alexander_Pyrite> "space is getting transfered"
  221. <Alexander_Pyrite> "so they are yeah?'
  222. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Well, yes."
  223. <Faerzen_Norstov> "But potentially in a similar manner to previously."
  224. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Transferred into the same space so they instead combine and explode violently."
  225. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Two Prospits cannot occupy the same space simultaneously."
  226. <Alexander_Pyrite> "oh right"
  227. <Alexander_Pyrite> "like what happened to us"
  228. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Indeed."
  229. <Alexander_Pyrite> "so what do we evacuate them all to one of our planets"
  230. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Ah."
  231. <Faerzen_Norstov> "That is certainly a possible solution."
  232. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Time consuming, but straightforward and likely to ensure safety."
  233. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I am not certain we have such time, but we can investigate."
  234. <Faerzen_Norstov> "You mentioned you were attempting to help save the carapacians. What were you doing? I believe you said you were discussing matters with your sprite as well?"
  235. <Alexander_Pyrite> "literally just walking around asking who knew how i could become a wized"
  236. <Faerzen_Norstov> "A wizard you say?"
  237. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Any particular reason you desired to become as such?"
  238. <Alexander_Pyrite> "teleportation:
  239. <Alexander_Pyrite> "of other people"
  240. <Alexander_Pyrite> "only thought i copuld come up with heh:
  241. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I see. Were you able to make any headway in that?"
  242. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Teleporting other people, while unlikely to be able to surmount the intersessional metaphysical barrier, could be immensely useful in evacuating Prospit and Derse."
  243. <Alexander_Pyrite> "Not at all"
  244. <Alexander_Pyrite> "i just gt referred to differnt people and then to more people"
  245. <Alexander_Pyrite> "maybe asking around in a library wasnt the samrtest idea"
  246. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I have a pair of glasses that quite capable of locating desired information."
  247. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Perhaps those would be of use to you?"
  248. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I would be more than willing to accompany you on your mission to save Prospit and Derse, as well as to obtain the Black King's scepter."
  249. <Alexander_Pyrite> "Sure, but how are glasses gonna help me to find how to become a wizard"
  250. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I can focus on a piece of information I seek, and it will inform me of the most efficient route and locations to obtain that information."
  251. <Faerzen_Norstov> "For example, that piece of information could be 'How Alex can obtain the ability to teleport others.' and the glasses would be able to point us directly to where we could find that."
  252. <Faerzen_Norstov> "You would no longer need to bounce around from nearly useless person to nearly useless person in an endless cycle of referrals."
  253. <Alexander_Pyrite> "oh"
  254. <Alexander_Pyrite> "sounds good to me, lets fire itup"
  255. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Let me clean up my mess here. I cannot believe I allowed for this to come to such a disorganized state."
  256. * Faerzen_Norstov gathers up all the papers and books and sentient objects
  257. <Alexander_Pyrite> "you should see my room mate"
  258. * Faerzen_Norstov chuckles lightly
  259. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I can only imagine."
  260. * Faerzen_Norstov finishes putting things away
  261. * Faerzen_Norstov looks very satisfied with the clean, organized work surface
  262. <Alexander_Pyrite> "damn this is clean"
  263. <Faerzen_Norstov> "You should see my room in my place of personal residence."
  264. <Faerzen_Norstov> "This is simply a large bench in a garden in a library. I assure you my personal sleeping quarters are much more organized."
  265. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Please wait a moment, I shall engage the Oracle's Oculus."
  266. * Faerzen_Norstov fiddles with her e-glasses lenses, and a rotating library of lenses pops up
  267. * Faerzen_Norstov flips between a number of different lenses before settling on an orange set, clicking them in place on her glasses
  268. <Alexander_Pyrite> Alex waits patiently
  269. * Faerzen_Norstov closes her eyes to focus on "How Alex can become a wizard."
  270. * Faerzen_Norstov opens her eyes, looking hopefully around the area, potentially up at Prospit or in the library nearby for some source of relevant knowledge
  271. * Faerzen_Norstov sighs
  272. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Alex...."
  273. * Faerzen_Norstov frowns
  274. <Alexander_Pyrite> "What"
  275. <Faerzen_Norstov> "This is not particularly the result I was hoping to find."
  276. <Faerzen_Norstov> "The glasses show no source of vertiable information on how to become a wizard."
  277. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Instead, it says...."
  278. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Magic is fake as shit."
  279. <Alexander_Pyrite> "..."
  280. <Alexander_Pyrite> "what"
  281. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I am simply informing you of what the Oculus displays."
  282. <Alexander_Pyrite> "thats some bullshit"
  283. <Alexander_Pyrite> "what do we fucking do?"
  284. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Were we to have a Space player, perhaps the teleporting plan would be possible."
  285. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Alas, Sylphia was crushed by a large landslide."
  286. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Remember when we found her flattened self and her dragon on Prospit that you saved?"
  287. <Alexander_Pyrite> "o...k"
  288. <Alexander_Pyrite> "oh that girl"
  289. <Alexander_Pyrite> "that was why she was all like that? huh"
  290. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Unfortunately, yes. I verified the course of events."
  291. <Faerzen_Norstov> "It is quite unfortunate, but unfortunately what is done is done."
  292. <Alexander_Pyrite> "fine fine"
  293. <Alexander_Pyrite> "sitll prospitians"
  294. <Alexander_Pyrite> "what do we do"
  295. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Hmmmm...."
  296. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I could attempt to construct some sort of transportation device to translocate larger numbers of them...."
  297. <Alexander_Pyrite> "we cant do nothing because theplants would teleport ontop of eachother and explode because they"
  298. <Alexander_Pyrite> "wait wait wait"
  299. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Perhaps augment the locomotion systems of their battleships?"
  300. <Alexander_Pyrite> "theyre only going tyo explode because theyre on top of eachother right"
  301. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Well, yes."
  302. <Alexander_Pyrite> "what if we moved..."
  303. <Alexander_Pyrite> "the planet"
  304. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Either that, or near enough to one another that they would attract one another and collid--"
  305. <Faerzen_Norstov> "....what?
  306. <Alexander_Pyrite> "move the planet"
  307. <Faerzen_Norstov> "They would need to be moved to completely opposite portions of their orbits in order for the orbital patterns to be stable."
  308. <Alexander_Pyrite> "ssomeone" alex winks "pushes our prospit far enough out of the way tha"'
  309. <Alexander_Pyrite> "oh wow thats far"
  310. <Alexander_Pyrite> "and we'd have to do the asme for derse?"
  311. <Faerzen_Norstov> "How in Jurgen fuck do you suggest moving an entire planet?"
  312. <Alexander_Pyrite> "I..."
  313. <Alexander_Pyrite> "im strong?"
  314. * Faerzen_Norstov raises an eyebrow
  315. <Faerzen_Norstov> "You are... *that* strong?"
  316. <Alexander_Pyrite> "one way tp ofond out"
  317. * Faerzen_Norstov chuckles
  318. <Faerzen_Norstov> "That is quite the proposition!"
  319. <Alexander_Pyrite> ((its canon that me mispelling things is alex stuttering))
  320. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I see no harm in attempting this course of action."
  321. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Worst case scenario, you simply provide some additional entertainment for myself."
  322. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Best case, you bedazzle me with your immense mangrit and you save two entire kingdoms!"
  323. <Faerzen_Norstov> "The expected value of the utility of this plan seems quite positive to me."
  324. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I say we go for it!"
  325. <Alexander_Pyrite> "i know im goign to enjoy it"
  326. <Faerzen_Norstov> "We need to travel in the direction of Prospit regardless to obtain the Black King's scepter."
  327. <Faerzen_Norstov> "We will need to exercise caution in the vicinity of Derse, but I believe I can provide us with some luck on that front to expedite our travels to avoid any altercations with the Horrorterrors."
  328. <Faerzen_Norstov> "And if not, I will have a *strong* hero to protect me."
  329. * Faerzen_Norstov smirks, chuckling slightly again
  330. <Alexander_Pyrite> "sounds good to me"
  331. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Excellent!"
  332. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I have informed Lily of this plan of action involving the scepters and the merge, and she is working with her team in their session to retrieve a scepter of their own."
  333. <Faerzen_Norstov> "If we cannot move these planets through sheer strength alone, we can find an alternative solution, but I have little doubts in your claims thus far. I have learned from experience not to place my own expectations in any reasonable fashion around your physical abilities."
  334. <Faerzen_Norstov> "After such endeavors are completed, we can retrieve the scepter, initiate the merge, and then create the new universe with the frog I gave to Lyra."
  335. <Faerzen_Norstov> "I created that frog, and I sincerely hope she has taken exceptional care of it."
  336. <Faerzen_Norstov> "From what I hear from Lily, that is in fact the case."
  337. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Once we are all reunited, we can initiate the beginning of the end."
  338. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Together."
  339. <Alexander_Pyrite> "thats simultaneiously very hopeful and also"
  340. <Alexander_Pyrite> "the end"
  341. <Alexander_Pyrite> "but that sounds like a good plan"
  342. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Let us endeavor to execute this course of action then, and work as hard as we can to ensure this ending is a positive one."
  343. * Faerzen_Norstov manages to smile for once
  344. <Alexander_Pyrite> Alex smies too
  345. * Faerzen_Norstov extends her elbow to be escorted by Alex
  346. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Shall we?"
  347. <Alexander_Pyrite> Alex hesitates then takes her by the arm
  348. <Faerzen_Norstov> "Off! On a most excellent adventure!"
  349. <Alexander_Pyrite> "yeah!"
