  1. Upon the flat roof of a clocktower bordering a nearby forest, a figure sat against a brick chimney that jutted awkwardly up from the roof below. A tattered shawl cloaked the person from head to mid torso, a hood hanging slightly past the figure's hairline. Two empty packs of cigarettes lay at the man's feet, another half emptied one lay in his lap. A thin yet constant trail of smoke rose up into the air as the figure stared out at the dark wood beyond, with an eye the same color as the smoke he exhaled.
  2.
  3. Luna smirked as the heat around her began to radiate, her clothes fluttering as she grit her teeth, her eyes began to turn white as her muscles tensed, fire ripping through the are in a violent explosion. becoming consumed in the flames around her they spread out creating a circular ring of fire 70 yards wide. Shaking her dark brown hair the color flew off and became ash white, her eyes gray as she hunched over. Phoenix wings emerged and spread as it swiped away the flames as the heat danced they spread out creating a circular ring of fire 70 yards wide. 4.
  5. The somewhat old looking man, leaned his head back against the chimney, causing the hood to fall back from his slightly graying hair and heavily stubbled face. With what sounded like a mix between a sigh and a groan, the cigarette fell from his mouth, now near burnt down all the way. A strong bought of unusually hot wind blew past him, causing the empty coat sleeves beneath his shawl to catch and move to his side. Listening to the rhythmic "tok-tok-tok" from inside the tower beneath him, he grew tense and somewhat wary.
  6.
  7. Luna brought up a hand and placed it over her shoulder, rolling the joint she groaned, working the same with the other shoulder. Shaking her arms out she hopped from one foot to the next in a boxer's stance before she vanished simply and her foot swung out at Jack's head, the air heating up intensely as if he had entered the desert.
  8.
  9. Suddenly pushing forwards and to his feet, a blazing figure came into existence to his side. The foot moving at him missed as he moved forwards, only catching the excess material of his shawl. The likes of which burned away in a quick flash due to to the intense heat, leaving the old man's head exposed. Now on his feet and using the opportunity gained by not getting a his head kicked from his shoulders, he retorted with a kick of his own, turning his body to add more force behind the foot aimed at his attackers head in an attempt to return the favor.
  10.
  11. Bending herself back she evaded the kick and rolled back as she pushed off the tower and floated there as her wings flapped in the air. She dropped down and touched the ground as she stood there.
  12.
  13. Walking over to the edge of the roof, Jack looked down at the flaming figure standing below. With a grunt, he stepped back and walked towards a small staircase, moving down it and into another set that led even further into the clocktower, leaving him walking down a hallway and towards a large open room, all the while a loud "Tok-Tok-Tok" resonated throughout the building's insides.
  14.
  15. Luna stood there, waiting as the heat continued to dance around her. As she stood in the middle of the ring of fire waiting.
  16.
  17. The hallway and walls behind him, along with the rest of the structure that was the clocktower above him, started to twist and bend unnaturally inwards, caving in around itself in a wake behind him. By the time he made his way to the door leading outside, half the tower was already compressed in a mass of continually receding rubble. Stepping outside, the still standing heap that was the tower suddenly collapsed in on itself and Jack. The stone and masonry and material of the entire tower crunched and smashed together around him, forming two elongated masses that covered both sides of his bare shoulders, another set forming behind him. The twisting orgy of solid material cracked and roared, turning a bright ivory before settling into its new, smoothed, and shaped form. Two arms connected to Jack's shoulders, their size being six times that of himself. Sprouting from his back were two wings of his own, their form solid and white, made up of millions of small fragments. Throughout this transformation, Jack stared solemnly at Luna, the heat radiating and reaching his face. His expression was one of tension mixed with a tinge of sadness.
  18.
  19. Luna nodded as she spread her wings and flapped them, floating upon the air as six long swords formed behind her in a spread circle. All soon began spinning; rotating much like a wheel. "Let us begin." She said as she brought forward a hand, the swords all forming and aimed at Jack, lowering her hand she fired them at him as they ignited into flames.
  20.
  21. Swinging the enormous arm connecting to his torso, the six swords flying at Jack clashed against the ivory surface, spitting off sparks of black and yellow as they continued to berate the appendage with residual force. The swords collectively broke through the white surface of the arm, only to have a small flow of white shards move around and assimilate them into its mass. Moving the arm he had just countered with back, and his other one forwards, six, large, ivory, masses, sharpened along their sides , flew out at luna from the palm of the forward pointed hand, the force of impact from the swords being used to propel the white projectiles.
  22.
  23. Luna clapped her hands, fire bursting from between them as the air swirled with heat, parting them fire soon appeared between as she grasped the right end of the blade and swung at the projectiles as one cut her cheek, the others becoming harmless charcoal bits. In her hand was a long sword, the blade ivory white yet heat raged around it, runic engravings ran down along the blade as she curled her ring, and pinkie finger covered by her thumb as the index finger and middle stood together, pressed upon the blade. "Shingi, muketsu ni shite banjaku..." SHe began as she slowly slide her two fingers along the flat of her blade, a soft silver glow taking the blade as the runes glowed a deep crimson. "Chikara, yama wo nuki..." SHe continued, her blade resonating with the heat around her as it slowed and seemed to calm, her eyes closing. "Tsurugi, mizu wo wakatsu..." Her fingers closed the gap of to the tip of the blade as a white aura glowed softly in her hand. "Seimei, rikyuu ni todoki..." She continued to chant as she swiped her fingers across the tip and swung the glowing hand, a simil0ar blade to the one in her right. "Warera, tomo ni ten wo idakazu!" She shouted and swung the glowing blades as they became wing like blades, the left one bearing black feathers and the right bearing white feathers.
  24.
  25. Taking a large step forwards, the wings and arms wrapped and connecting to Jack's torso moved forwards, sending a barrage of smal yet sharp ivory bits at luna; the multitude of them made the torrent a seemingly solid movement that moved at her with with blinding speed. Black sparks jumped between the surfaces of each little shard, giving the ivory gush of material a greyish aura.
  26.
  27. She closed her eyes and flipped the handling of the black winged blade in reverse as she held them out, the hilt end of each blade connecting as she then turned and began to slash, cutting down a god portion of the projectiles as the slashed ones became petals. "Tsume..." She said, her motion continuing as she hacked at more and more. "Kiba... Danpen... Uchikudaku!" She shouted and slashed down sending a violent shockwave through the rain of projectiles. "Sen saku hana..." She whispered as the petals danced around her in her swirling motion as she danced towards Metal and launched the blades towards him as they brought the reformed projectiles back, the soft luminecent petals all seeming as if a massive swirling torrent of petals. The blades would pass through him as the petals would converge and slash at him in their maelstrom of fury.
  28.
  29. Lashing out both white arms, Jack caught both swords in his hands. By caught, it is meant that the swords pierced the palm of the respective hand they were lodged in and stuck there, all the way to the hilt. With their advancement halted, the halted, the shockwave still carried the ebony flurry of sharp petals that he failed to stop. Striking at his center, right between his outstretched arms, a deep white gash punched a crevice into his core causing him to skid back some from the sheer impact. Lashing both arms outwards, the same small white shards were sent out, but in an outward explosion of sorts causing a layer of ivory to shed from the arms connecting to Jack's torso. With the shedded and solid white material went the two swords of Luna's, flying off in opposite directions. Arms still outwards, Jack shot forwards at Luna herself, the surface of each arm bristling audibly as the small shards that they composed of moved ever so slightly to change their surface condition from that of smooth glass to sharkskin-esque.
  30.
  31. She closed her eyes, the swords vanishing as they appeared back in her hands, throwing them at him as they would slash into him and fly off in different directions, running at metal she conjured the same swords and stabbed him in the chest as she ducked around him to let him continue, conjuring a third set she threw them and caught the second and rushed him, the two blades becoming one as she swung at him. "Kōkai shite kono sekai o nokosu... Ni sen ha: Agehachō." She said softly, the slash would culminate into him being slashed two-thousand times as she swung.
  32.
  33. Turning around just in time to stop his lumbering trajectory, Jack now faced Luna as the two slashes were a moment away from impact. Bringing his arms up in front of him, the slashes made contact with the razor sharp surface of the appendages. Clashing together, the millions of tiny edges grinded against the two of the blades, causing such an immense expulsion of sparks that the combined light emitted was as bright as that of one experienced during the detonation of an atomic bomb; momentarily blinding beyond all belief. Finally giving out from the force, the residual force of the slash completed its path through both of Jack's arms, severing both the enormous forms at the elbow and sending them flying as Jack reeled back with with a pained and exasperated groan.
  34.
  35. Luna stood behind him, her eyes distant as her swords vanished, her form becoming normal as she exhaled softly, her body emitting steam and heat as it began to cool itself down.
  36.
  37. Letting out a final huff before composing himself, Jack turned with one of the large white stubs covering his torso where an equally pale gash delved into his torso. Tensing his jaw and staring Luna down with a still solemn expression, the wings still attached to his torso straightened, rustling for only a moment before attaining a stream-line formation.
  38.
  39. Silently she held his stare before closing her eyes and giving a small smile, walking away, flames danced off her as her form simply vanished, nothing but small embers now carried upon the wind.
  40.
  41. His posture suddenly relaxed, his back straightened, and the stubs and wings connecting to his torso started to simply flow off of him and onto the ground as millions of tiny white tidbits and pieces. Standing there, a good ways away from where the the clocktower once was erect, the noticeably age worn man continued to stare off, his expression now bereft of anything but melancholy.
