  42. Story: So, my first go at being a real superhero. My bluff about being a mere Pyrokinetic with minor brute abilities seemed to go over pretty smoothly, and even with my limited abilities I manage to establish a reputation with Sayaka fairly easily.
  43. I guess my real issue was trying to make contact with Taylor. At first, I tried to contact her with vague messages on PHO that were both too vague and overestimating how much time she spends on the site, letters that got ruined, and one attempt at an alternate reality game. After about a month, I just introduced myself and asked if she want to be friends. We did some non heroing activities like trying to learn how to make homemade sweets (Went Well) and how to design clothes, but vigilantism is always much more important. Our reputation got a lot better with our new member and her ability to find crimes that don’t involve direct danger to people.
  44. Of course, without Taylor the Undersiders did substantially worse against Lung, losing Regent and the rest being fairly severely injured. Of course, it wasn't all good news for the ABB, given that I ended up killing Bakuda about a week after she joined with a quick stab in the heart, with none of the usual theatrics. While it prevented Leviathan, murdering a human being, rather than a relatively faceless monster proved to be rather guilt inducing, and I found myself working as a healer for a while. While I was working through that, Sayaka and Taylor ended up starting a highly effective monitoring system to prevent crimes in most of the city.
  45. Of course, It's very important to deal with your issues constructively. It’s also important to prevent the Apocalypse from coming to the world you’re on because some Johnny Depp looking Joker Wannabe decides he wants to fuck the world. So after a few months as First Aid. The hunt took me to a small town in the middle of the Country, after about a week of false leads and close calls. I started off with a burst of fire blasts, which was slightly more effective than the formality I expected to be due to Burnscar trying to capitalize on the fire near me and ending up a shish kebab, and my Familiar managed to kill Cherish. My attempts at restraining Bonesaw went badly at first, but then I remembered that she’s a lot more durable than she looks, and suddenly it was fairly easy to incapacitate her in a way that involved a lot more sharp objects and joints. My Familiar made a decent distraction for the Siberian while I tried to kill Manton, but he ran out of health fairly easily when confronted with an unstoppable force, leaving me to try to run past an Angry Cannibalistic projection with only slightly inhuman speed. Luckily, I managed to throw my sword through the van hard enough to kill Manton with only mild injuries. Of course, at this point they clustered together, and began to coordinate. While I did manage to take out Shatterbird with a Lucky Fireblast, the wave of glass she did send my way was incredibly painful, and provided a great opening for the survivors to Bite, Slash, or unleash a variety of creative attacks upon me. On the plus side, it distracted me from Jack Sparrow’s speech, which I’m sure he worked very hard on for a whole five minutes. It was at this point I realized just how long the day was getting, and decided to delegate some work to a lower level employee, which is to say that I summoned an magical embodiment of my Despair and Personal Mistakes to messily devour them. Of course, I didn’t sit around, but it was pretty hard to compete with the eldritch abomination who wasn’t pretty much out of Mana.
  46. In the end, only Crawler was left due to the fact that Complete Arsenal wouldn’t cough up a power nullifier, and in fact actively shut down throughout the entire skirmish. After the whole disaster, I went back to Brockton Bay with Bonesaw positioned in the back of my Car, turned her over to the proper authorities with some guilt tripping, sent Cauldron a letter detailing the best/canon method to kill Scion, and proceeded to spend the next nine years trying to help people in need, managing the store, and training up my fire magic. With my information, Cauldron managed to defeat Scion fairly simply, if not easily, with minimal loss of human life.
  47. At the end of the ten years, I hugged Taylor goodbye, gave her the deed to the store, and proceeded to walk into the Door provided, ready for a world that wouldn’t be this stressful.
