Haruka's Challenge (Part 1?)

Living in a cave is not easy, and that'something the Crimson has no doubt; in order to have a decent place to rest their heads every night they need to work in whatever they can, but this is not an easy task for Haruka (or at least that's what she says). Every time she manages to get something to do, she ends up ruining by..."playing" with her customers or someone else, instead of fulfilling her contract. One of her many jobs was behind the cash register on certain restaurant identifiable by the letter W, but now she decided to give herself another chance (this time in one identifiable by a king).

Day one, not much to say; day two, she beat her own record!; yesterday, one more and she's fired. Today, the customers have been only adults or parents with their children so she's being kind of dissapointed, but on the other hand she's getting more money. "A win-win situation I suppose..." she says before sighing. There are no more people waiting and her shift is about to end. But when she's about to go, a new  face approaches, and this time is about her age.

"Ara ara~, I guess I can have some fun before leaving after all!" she says to herself. This individual is wearing a black suit and carrying a case despite his age. Since there's no row, he goes directly to meet Haruka.

"Good afternoon sir. May I take your order~?"
"Afternoon. Let me see...". He proceeds to look in the combos and prices.
"Are you ready?"
"Give me a minute, I'm almost done..."
...
"You know, there's something I could offer you that is not displayed". Haruka leans over the counter.
"It's me~. No charge..." She whispers into his ear.
"..."
He looks at her, as if nothing just happened.
"I'll take four chicken burgers, a long cheeseburger, fries and an orange smoothie."
"..." She's a little surprised.
"Excuse me?"
"I'll take four chicken burgers, a long cheeseburger, fries and an orange smoothie."
"..."
"Oh yeah, MEDIUM fries, and the chicken burgers to go please."
"...got it". She writes the corresponding prices. He pays and waits on the second floor. Her shift is over.

While changing her clothes, Haruka thinks:
"Huh. Usually I'd be fired at this point. Or at least boys would go away disturbed. Did he hear me? Did I do something wrong? Or is it that I'm losing my charm?
Nonsense! He isn't deaf, and I keep losing my jobs without even trying! I wonder if I'll have to make a little more effort this time...and I know just how to start~!"

The order is ready, and she'll take the burden of carrying it.
"What are you doing?!" Asks her one of the co-workers.
"Oh come on, now you won't have to do it!"
"Do it and I'll tell-"
"I'm sure I'll be fired for some little reason anyway".
"...?!"
"Tah-tah~!"

He's looking the night through a window with his case on his lap. He looks thin considering the order.
"Here's your order, sir~". She places the tray on the table and sits on the other side, facing him.
"Excuse me?"
"Oh, my shift's over, don't worry about me. You seem to be hungry..."
"...haven't eaten in all day, to be honest".
"Huh? Care to explain me?"
"Wait, who are you? I mean, thanks for bringing my food to me but I don't know you and, you are just talking to me like nothing?".
"Oh hoho, where are my manners~!? My name is Haruka, nice to meet you."
"...Keiji. Nice to, meet you Haruka."
"Huh...Where have I heard that name before?
...
"So, why have you been starving~?"
"I've had a pretty busy day in college. A debate about objective moral".
"You don't say...How did it go?"
"We are not done yet. It's the next Monday so we better be ready."
"Oh~? Is that why you look like a businessman?"
"...yep. We were practicing in the auditorium, and I decided to come here to eat and relax. Now if you excuse me...", he starts to unwrapping the long burger, but starts feeling awkward. She's just there, looking at him and smiling.
"..."
"What's wrong?"
"..."
"Mmmmmm~?"
"It doesn't feel right. I don't want to eat while you just look at me."
"Huh~? Then what should we do? I'm sure you know the answer, mister morals~"
...
"Do you like chicken or beef?"
She giggles. "Neither one, but I like orange juice".
"As you say..." He gives her the smoothie, and then they both start having dinner. He chokes a few times but manages to deal with it without the drink, frustrating her a bit.

Once they're done, he takes the bag with chicken burgers and both go down to the entrance. Before getting out she says goodbye to the co-worker again, waving and winking with her tongue out.

"Well, it was nice to meet you Haruka. Good night".
Keiji walks away. After a while he realizes that she's following him.
"Is there something wrong?"
"No".
"...okay. Good night..."
He gets back on track but realizes again that she's following again. Now he's annoyed a bit.
"I thought there was nothing wrong."
"There is nothibg wrong!"
"Then why are you following me?"
"Well...let's just say I'm in the mood of following you!"
...
"What?"
"Yeah, that's a way of saying it."
...
"Look, if you're trying to rob m-"
"Oh, nonononononono, none of that! You already know me, don't you? Does this look like the face of someone who could rob you~?"
"...! How can I trust you?"
"I guess you'll just have to know me...more deeply~"
He sighs.
"Besides, why would I do that if I'm having a job? Or should I say 'HAD a job'?
"What?!"
"Nevermind. I'm sure I'll get another one soon".
...
"Is this happening?"
"As sure as I drank your smoothie!"
...
He starts walking again, and so she does.
"You don't know where I'm going. How do you think to go home later?"
"Oh, I'm sure you'll tell me how."
"You-" She looks at him as if everything is under control, with a smile. He sighs and says:
"You're right". She giggles.

They go to the subway and took an empty train. She sits next to him.

"Keiji-kun..."
"What?"
"I love you~"
...
"Keiji-kun..."
"What?"
"I love you~!"
...
"Keiji..."
He sighs. "What".
"Why don't you say anything when I say that I love you?"
"'Cause I don't believe you".
"Huh? Why?"
"We've just met today, how can you love me? Also you...offered yourself to me, without even knowing my name."
"Oh..." Her eyes start feeling with tears. "So you must believe I'm one of those kind of girls, don't you...?" Crocodile tears start running down through her face.
"Wait what? No, I didn't mean-"
"No! It's okay. I understand if you don't want to see me. An impeccable boy hanging out with girls like me..." She sniffs and sits up. "I'll be down at the next station, then I'll manage somehow. Good night, Keiji-kun".
He grabs her from the wrist.
"Stop! What you said is not true, and if you want to leave me alone fine, but you'll do it after I tell you how to go back to where we were before taking this train".
She wipes her tears and shows a big smile. "As you say, Keiji-kun!" She sits next to him again.
...
"B- You- I mea- How?! Yo-"
"I was just making a scene, you silly boy~!"
...
He stoops to rest his face on his hands.
"Why does this kind of stuff happen to MEEEEEE?!!!"
"Oh, don't be so harsh. This showed me you actually care for me."
"..."
She whispers again: "And I'll make sure you won't regret it~ Cu-tie-pie!"
"NO! Thank! You". She chuckles.

Once they leave the train they go at the door of his flat. Before leaving the subway he explains her how to go back thanks to a map.
"Well, here's where I live. Want to come in?"
"No no, thank you. I want to wait for the next days!"
...
"Honestly I'm not surprised. Nope, not a single bit".
"I guess that's what happens when you make friends~"
...
"Haruka..."
"Yes?"
"Thank you. I don't know why but I think it's been a good day- I mean NIGHT, with you. Never expected this day to be like this, or any other day...I loved it!"
"Awww, thank you! You're gonna make me blush~!"
"Heheh..."
"Also, thank you for the smoothie. I noticed you choking but you didn't ask me for it. Not that I wouldn't give you, but I wanted to see what would you do".
...
"Heh..."
"Well, I guess it's time to go back. The girls must be worried and we have things to do tomorrow. Good night Keiji-kun, and sleep well!"
"You too. Bye!" She goes downstairs and he comes in home.

"Sleep well, Keiji-kun...Because you'll need all the energy you can get~"
