  1. Dear Lindi Lion,
  2.
  3. At your service.
  4.
  5. However, I'm unsure I'd want to work with a business that makes such huge numerical mistakes and doesn't notice them until they're called out in a long e-mail chain, I'd pity the fool that you take, as I know he's going to get his salary changed from 35,000.00 year to 35.000 year. At this point I was just thinking what goes through HR when you do such simple mistakes and do not notice them, just the morbid curiosity of it all. But don't worry, I hold no rancor, feel free to ask me for other projects, but be warned, I will be on the look out.
  6.
  7. My dearest regards, Tabaré Bacardit

  13. Thank you for giving me the link – the 5 years was a typo, it should have said 1+ - there was no mention of 5 years in the text so I was confused.
  14.
  15. I have passed your CV onto our Head of Development and he doesn’t feel that you are the right fit for the position unfortunately.

  44. Dear Lindi Lion,
  45.
  46. Up to two years means you ask under two years, not a minimum of two years, that's a middle as explained before (Here, in Spain, in USA, Australia, Algeria, Russia, Argentina and anywhere, this is a profesional term not a regional term). Since otherwise you enter into a loop, where you need experience to become a junior (2 years) but you can't get experience since the entry level is junior, for which you requiere experience (2 years).
  47.
  48. Factually wrong, read your own offer, which I link http://jobview.monster.co.uk/GetJob.aspx?JobID=167536044&re=ah_jtc and archived http://archive.is/JLHUE See under "Years of Relevant Experience" the "5+ years"
  49.
  50. My most sincere thanks for the opportunity, I do really appreciate it.
  51.
  52. Regards, Tabaré Bacardit.

  57. Thank you for your email.
  58.
  59. In the UK asking for up to 2 years is acceptable as Junior – there is no mention of 5 years of experience required in the job spec.
  60. The salary band offered is also at a Junior level for a Developer in the UK.
  61.
  62. The main points we are looking for are C# and iOS or Android, the rest is stated at desirable.
  63.
  64. I will send your CV over to our Head of Development to consider for the position and will be in touch with feedback/next steps.
  65.
  66. A first interview over Skype would be fine.

  94.
  95. Dear Lindi Lion
  96.
  97. I do have nearly a year as a developer plus an ever growing background of projects finished (right now I'm finishing another with a Spanish business), my Commercial Experience, should we asume you mean just "years working in a profesional environment" is well over 4 years, in various environments from 100% big business (Imagina, Nostrum (right now)) to teaching (Jyvaskyla), to freelance and co-working (Infinity Source).
  98.
  99. However, I feel the need to inform you that Junior is near no experience in programming and asking for such huge amounts of experience (IE 5 years) is misleading even if they're years working in general and not only in the field you demand, however if you desired 2 years of experience you're looking for what is called a Middle, let me further explain this:
  100.
  101. Junior -> New at the job, simple tasks, small projects nothing too big unless you trust them, experience rounds <2 (always talking about related to the job, IE developing). Most customs and the heaviest or most knowladgeble part of the training comes here, here they'll tend to pick up favorite languages and working techniques.
  102. Middle -> Able to tackle a project by themselves, rounds between 2 to 4 years in developing in general. At this point the programmer settles on the things he's learned as a junior.
  103. Senior -> 5+, he knows what he's doing and will normally do heavy projects with hard code and generally fickle or otherwise fragile things that requiere experience, speed and reliability. At this point the developer has totally seated in a language(s) and will rarely go outside of them.
  104.
  105. You can ask for Junior/Middle/Senior on ONE language or methodology, however this tends to be a moot point since either they can be good at said language but use an older version of it (IE an iOS developer whose Junior and Middle years where spent with ObjC while good, he probably won't wish to branch out onto swift).
  106.
  107. With this classification I've explained above I'm defined as a junior developer with nearly 1 year of experience in mobile development (infinity source, currently nostrum), with a total of 3 finished android Apps (Unnamed 1 and 2 (Under NDA) which both are related to image recognition and augmented reality plus image recognition respectively, the one I'm nearly done this month for nostrum) 1 finished iOS App (Port of Unnamed app 1 for infinity source into ObjC) and one webview app with Ionic+AngularJS+nodeJS with a back end using parse.
  108.
  109. I'd be more than willing to if the salary is a livable wage and I can do the required interviews via internet (as not to rent a house for nothing).
  110.
  111. Also I'm very thankful for the input you've given me so far.
  112.
  113. Regards, Tabaré Bacardit

  151. How so? If I may inquire, still a bit new making CVs, so It'd be of great help if you helped clear that up.
  152.
  153. According to your offer you wanted a Junior developer with senior experience, was that a slip and you meant to say Senior?
