- The Mineotaur Master. This is an embedded Linux-based device that runs off USB 5V power (via a wall adapter or otherwise), with 8 jumper ports on it. Using included jumper leads to connect the device to the power switch header on up to 8 motherboards, the Master is able to provide remote power off/power up/restart functionality via the Mineotaur web interface and via automation (eg. restarting an unresponsive rig). As it runs the Mineotaur daemon out of the box, it is ideal for miners that want to use Mineotaur but don’t want to purchase a dedicated server. - The Mineotaur Slave. An unlimited number of slaves can exist on a mining farm. Each slave is also USB powered, and is powered by a PIC18F67J60 microchip. It, too, has 8 jumper ports on it for remote powering/restarting of up to 8 rigs. ‎The Slaves are zeroconf, and thus just need to be plugged in to the network to be discovered. They do not need a Master unit if there is already a computer on the network running the Mineotaur daemon software. This is ideal for miners who have Mineotaur Masters and are expanding their farms, as well as for large farms that don’t need a Master unit.
