Shelgon is a pure Dragon Type Pokemon, and is the second evolution stage of the Pokemon, Salamence. It was first released in the games Ruby and Sapphire, Generation 3.

Shelgon has become a very defensive Pokemon, and layers of skin have grown all over its body, leaving it with a large armour of steel to use as a defensive and offensive tool. Shelgon’s shell is very hard and bounces off enemy attacks. Shelgon is a very slow Pokemon, and doesn't eat anything until it evolves, as it is very heavy.

Shelgon are found in large and deep caves in the ground, and are incredibly rare.
