|General
|General is for multipurpose mega-plugins.  These plugins have dozens of commands that cover everything -- The "all-in-one" plugins.  Do not select this unless your plugin is similar to Essentials.  This is the most over-used category!

|Fixes
|This category is for plugins that fix bugs in the game.
|-
|Informational
|This is an interesting category.  It's supposed to be for spouting server information (i.e. Amount of RAM), but things that gives information to a user can potentially go here. <insert better desc>

|Mechanics
|This is for plugins that change or enhance the game in some way, such as changing mob pathfinding or redstone mechanics.
|-
|Admin Tools
|This category is for plugins that make administrating a server easier.  Things like inventory spying, xray information, or banning plugins fit in this category.  Commands that only OPS can use does not automatically make your plugin an admin tool!  Only if the plugin is useful and helps administrating does it fit in this category.

|Economy
|Unless the plugin revolves around economy (i.e. ChestShop) or creates an economy system (i.e. iConomy), don't choose this.  Simply charging for users to use a command or hooking into Vault doesn't constitue an "economy-based" plugin.

|Chat Related
|This is for plugins that modify or add communication methods (i.e. a chat formatting plugin).  Just because your plugin prints a message to the chat, doesn't meant that it belongs here.

|World Editing & Management
|Only region protection and worldediting plugins really go here.

|Antigriefing Tools (Security)
|While the category is called "Antigriefing Tools", it is really more of a "Security" category.  Things like land protection, anti-cheating plugins, and anti-spamming plugins belong here.

|Developer Tools
|This is only for APIs and libraries.

|Role Playing
|Anything that changes the "concept" or "goal" of the game would go here, i.e. races/classes, magic spell plugins, or Hunger Games plugins.

|Teleportation
|Plugins that concern anything teleportation-based, whether that be portals or simple commands.

|Fun
|Pretty self-explanatory -- If your plugin is used to fool around, or simply fun and exciting, you can put it here.

|Website Administration
|Anything involving administrating... From a website.  Seriously, any projects that are web-based or send useful stats/data to a website, like Dynmap, belong here.

|World Generators
|This doesn't need a description -- It's for world generators, such as the Aether or Skylands.
