NoxFTB TPPI Maps, Very Useful Information by Morinaka ---------------------------------------------------------- These servers ran on the modpack TPPI 1.1.2 (for minecraft 1.6.4), please use this version when playing these maps. 1.1.3 would also work if they ever released it after this file was written. While a decent amount of information follows i recommend you read it. Info and installing the map from the zip file ---------------------------------------------- The overworld files needed to run the map in single player are included, so no other dimensions are included to save space, also included is the config folder we used on the server and the server.properties file. To install the map go to your /TPPI/minecraft/saves/ folder and extract the /tppi-map-name-here/ folder in the zip to it, then load as normal in the single player menu. Config folder information and install -------------------------------------- Included in the zip file is another zip file containing the /config/ folder used on the server, i STRONGLY RECOMMENDED you install these BEFORE loading any of maps. We had nuclear reactor explosions turned off (they have a radius of 45 blocks by default) and if you don't use the configs you risk having yours or other bases explode. We were well aware many people used this config tweak to basically give themselves tons of power since the reactor couldn't explode no matter how stupid the design, this won't be the case if you don't use the configs. Also all the other tweaks we did are there as well, though there won't be as drastic consequences to not using them. To install them go to your /TPPI/minecraft/ folder delete the existing config folder then extract and copy ours in its place. Side note about Midgard map ---------------------------- This was generated with the Alternate Terrain Generation (ATG) mod, i have included the version used to make the map in the zip file for that server. The config folder is pulled from Midgard and used for all maps since it has the extra atg config folder which won't do anything if used on other maps, so if you use the configs provided you should be ok. When you first load the map ---------------------------- You will load into the world based on the co-ordinates in your player file (if you are using it). This means if you were on a different server last time you logged off you will be at the position you were on that server, and you will have to find your way to your base from there. There isn't much i can do about this, so i hope you can remember the position of your base. Disabled Mods and Info ------------------------------------ Disabled mods on this server were: - - Advanced Genetics - Animation API: Only used for Ars Magica 2, so disable if not using that. - Ars Magica 2 - BDLib: Only used for Gendustry, so disable if not using that. - Dartcraft - EiraIRC - Emashers Resources: Only really useful with Engineers Toolbox enabled. - Engineers Toolbox - Gendustry - Infernal Mobs: This doesn't rely on anything else so re-enable if you want to. - Modular Force Field System - Quarry Plus - Reliquary - Resonant Engine Development: Used for MFFS, so disable if not using that. - Server Tools - Thaumic Reliquary: Same as Reliquary but goes through Thaumcraft research, disable if Reliquary is disabled. - Universal Electricity Core: Used for MFFS and Resonant Engine Dev, disable if not using those mods. - Wireless Redstone - Witchery Be aware if you decide to enable these mods; several of them generate their own unique ores, liquids and items required to use them. Our maps were generated with those mods disabled so they won't exist in the world. You will have to go outside the existing generated map or get them from other dimensions with fresh generation, you will also be able to make your own mystcraft ages in single player as well to combat this. Combining the maps ------------------- As some of you might know Gliese, Helios, Sector Z and Sigmus were all one map early in the server's life. It should be possible to combine the region files back into one folder to re-create that albeit with some issues. Main one is computer craft scripts, since the servers have been apart for so long there are going to be folders that have the same name, so you can't really combine them properly, same goes for other data, though player files would be fine since they were synced across all servers. So while it may be possible i won't recommend it.
