Lots of Deftones fans do not understand why tapers don't share their masters as easily and quickly as THEY WANT. That's maybe because they're not used to get in a venue with a tapecorder/cam/preamp, etc, with the stress of being caught by security before or during the concert...I'm not talking about filming withe a phone ... I KNOW people who had very SERIOUS trouble as they were caught by security, or worse... they lost their equipment for nothing...and sometimes beaten by serious di**s from the crew...I saw that,I can tell you... For example, just go to a Tool show and try taping/filming without care, you'll see...I know what I'm talking about. So these fans don't understand that a taping project requires money ,a LOT of time (equipment, concert and train tickets etc...) ,a good amount of stress, mental and physical fatigue (which is the worse, I personally think)...you rarely can tape a show without permission in good conditions and without any care, especially if you want to do a good job. It requires a lot of personal involving (especially when you're following a band you love on tour in many countries-what I did for Deftones for example) So PLEASE understand some tapers won't share their stuff that easily or for really rare stuff... Some of my Deftones recordings were traded as they were NFT, that's a reason also to stop trading...until now...but be sure I'm not sharing in order to get some stuff I don't have (but some are still missing) or for a ratio question...Just want to help the community and people who deserve it... I also found some masters of mine being sold in Japan on CD/CDR, some friens of mine too (Prince, Jamiroquai, Aerosmith, etc), so this is obvious that some people are just making money with our lossless stuff here... So...there are many reasons to not share your recordings... It took me time also to realize that I had lots of uncirculated stuff and that REAL FANS (yes, there are few:The ones who share, and actually watch/listen to what the trade/DL ) would be happy with more Deftones/ Chino side projects shows...In the meantime, I don't want to stop sharing my stuff because of some "collectors" that make your recordings becoming very common thru trades, and make the recording lose its rarity...as it's a "NT" show... That's why I stopped trading years ago... Thanks to Defhead, Mr Vesanique among others who contribute to making great stuff surface / upgrade these last years...I will share my best stuff for this community... If you're looking for a 1997-2013 French / European show, PM me, if I have it, I'll share...as there are too much untransferred masters, I'm looking for someone who has a DAT deck, and a HD handcam... anyone??? I also have all Deftones silver CDs known that can be transferred with scans (Deft & dumb, complete Paradiso 97 "Around the Max", "Dynamo 1998", "Respect" etc...) Lineage : audio : Sennheiser mic > TCD-D8 > DAT(M) > Standalone > CDR(0) > EAC > WAV > remastering (norm., vol., eq.) video : JVC cam > MiniDV(M) (LP) > MPEG-2 HQ Mix was done using Premiere pro 2 > DVDR(0) > VIDEO_TS (if burned, your copy will be DVDR (1).) One of the longest Deftones shows ever played from this era......great setlist and very long encore, I can remember than Incubus was supposed to play the same night in Paris, but the show was cancelled...so lots of people tried in vain to access this show. There is a 2nd angle in circulation, but in lossy form...I tried many times to contact the taper to do a 2-cam mix using masters, but I didn't get any answer, and gave up... I finally did my own mix using Stan's DAT source 8 years now...that was my first Deftones show I've videotaped... So using a low-end cam was not the best : Picture is a bit blurry and shaky at times, but audio is nice...even from a taper that actually sells his masters...By the way, I am seeding one of his recordings here : http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=464281 It's free!!! ;) The DVD has been circulating quite early, get it if you don't have it, it's very nice, although there were better quality cams at the time and that it's somewhat blurry...except when lightning strikes!!! I'm looking for some stuff, first : 1997-1998 14 oct 1997 Paris FRA Divan Du Monde (VHS or DVD transfer, yhis was shot from balcony and the taper was caught by Deftones or venue security, so it's incomplete but exists-I've seen some caps years ago thru Damone.org*RIP*)) 17 oct 1997 Hamburg GER Logo 18 oct 1997 Copenhagen DEN Pumpehusset 22 jan 1998 Brussels BEL VK Club 27 jan 1998 Hamburg GER Logo 15 feb 1998 Marseille FRA Le Moulin 16 feb 1998 Villeurbanne FRA Transbordeur 17 feb 1998 Nantes FRA Olympic 18 feb 1998 Paris FRA Virgin Megastore, Champs Elysées (from lossless files, and video source that exists) 19 feb 1998 Paris FRA Elysee Montmarte (Another aud source than my Sony 907>Sony D8 found on "Melting point"CD) 20 feb 1998 Strasbourg FRA La Laiterie (from 8mm master or vhs(1) ) 21 feb 1998 Lille FRA Aeronef :lossless audio from D3(M) + other source (DAT?) and the most important the VHS/DVD which is rare but missed it 06/29/98 sold by the taper in front of the zenith before the show-P.N. from BE.+ a copy sold on ebay years ago) I will share all I can, please be patient, my UL limit is about 100 ko/s, I'll do my best ;) enjoy!
