What's this section? Why does it have all these songs and why aren't they in the Soundpack?!" Well the entire soundpack was based on what me and a couple of my friends (who helped me) happened to like. There was a lot of choices for me to go through when picking these songs, so instead of throwing out the ones that didn't make it in, I put them here. If you want these to be in the game, you're fully capable of doing it yourself, actually. 1. Use some sort of Youtube-To-Mp3 program or site to take the Youtube videos and turn them into Mp3's. It shouldn't be hard to find if you just use google. My tools in which I took the MP3's from youtube varied constantly ranging from site to site trying to find the best one. Each one had it's own quirks and downsides so just try to find that fits you best. 2. Once you download a working youtube-to-mp3 program/site go and download Audacity It's an audio editing software that's free to use and easy to use: This will allow you to change whatever Mp3 you downloaded and convert it to an OGG file. (In Audacity, Go to: File - Open... - (Your Mp3 here) - File (again) - Export as OGG Vorbis...) Once you do that you should be able to rename it to the file you want to replace and replace said file. 2b. A thing I should note is that all the songs (or at least most of them) are "Normalized". This means they're more or less all the same volume. It's something you can do with a simple click of a button in Audacity. Shouldn't be hard to find and do. 3. Boom! "Why did you make this Soundpack and why did you choose the theme to be Touhou?" Well, I was browsing youtube for some music to listen to from (you guessed it) Touhou when I stumbled upon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoNAEgh2zPQ When I heard it, I went "Oh, this reminds me of Killing Floor." And the idea just popped into my head that I should/could/and would make a custom killing floor soundtrack based on touhou music. Now as for why I made it touhou music, it's just because Touhou is overall just one of my favorite things in life. I wouldn't call it a big part of my life, but it's easily a part of it. The melodies, characters, stories, games, all of it is truely amazing and I have to give my thanks to ZUN for even coming up with the Touhou Project. Not only ZUN himself but the amazing fanbase that allowed this series to grow and bloom in a way nobody even expected. "I've tried EVERYTHING! And these still don't work! FIX IT!" One, that's not really a question. Two, it does, in fact, work, considering I've tested it myself and plenty of my friends have claimed it's worked perfectly fine as well. "How much time did you spend on creating this soundpack?" Honestly, a lot. Most of the time was spent was going through 850+ Touhou related music on youtube to find ones I thought were fit enough to be considered to be put in the soundpack. Once I did that I went ahead and shuffled through those ones to figure out which ones I wanted to use and which ones I didn't. Once I did decide on what I wanted to use as the music, I needed to download each and every song and convert them into .ogg format. It took a few days. It wasn't a gigantic project but it did suck up a lot of my time getting it done. This soundtrack took a lot longer then I thought it would. Not because of me constantly working on it but me dropping it so often and letting dust collect ontop of it. It had to be atleast 3 months or so I've worked on it. Updating was a completely different story, it took 7 or so months for me to actually decide on uploading it for all to download. I Blame Dota 2 and TF2. "Why'd you pick metal music instead of __________?" Well, I wanted to keep true to Killing Floor's usual genre of combat music, so I stuck to metal. I was heavily considering electronic music, but out of preference I just decided to pick metal. Although something you may notice about the metal songs I chose tend to have some techno in it too, so there's always that. I might release an electronic pack next if there's a lot of interest in it. (And I mean a lot of interest.) More then likely a lot of the trader music would be the same though due to the amount of , it really depends how I feel about it. "What about the holiday tracks? What made you pick what genre they are?" It's Orchestral/Classic music. I just felt like it'd fit better and pay dues to the original christmas tracks like I was doing with the combat music used throughout the game. "What about the Aperture tracks? What made you pick what genre they are?" It's Electronic music to be general but if I was to dwelve deeper into it, it's Psytrance, DnB, Dubstep, Trance, and Electronic. As for why? If I recall right the original Aperture map music had electronic music, so I just went with the whole idea of appealing to that too, like I did with the Holiday maps and combat maps. All in all I think my favorite Touhou is Utsuho Reiuji and my favorite general theme is Utsuho's own theme. Now as for songs that have been remixed, my favorite would be Locked Girl by Cool&Create. Really good song and I'd highly suggest looking it up. "Favorite Killing Floor weapon, perk, and skin?" HSG-1 Shotgun (or) Buzzsaw Crossbow Beserker (or) Support Specialist D.A.R. "Does any of these song have any vocals in them, if they don't/do, why?" None of the songs you'll hear in this soundpack have vocals because all in all it's just a matter of preference. I didn't want vocals annoying others nor me so I kept away from them for the most part. It doesn't help that most of it was screamo or such. I do understand that Killing Floor's soundtrack introduced a lot of screamo in it, but I wanted to choose something to appeal to the bigger population. " I have some music I think would be really good to implement, could I talk to you about putting it in the pack?" Of course. I'll consider the song you wish to implement and consider what remixes it will need to overwrite in order to be put into the pack. If I happen to deny it, two things could happen. 1.
