  27. You need 1 quote from the novel, 1 from the movie, then you need three quotes from professional critics on the film and 3 from the book. (authors, film directors and such don't count as critics obviously)

The compare/contrast comes from you and you are using interesting opinion quotes from PROFESSIONAL CRITICS (must be professional critics) lend weight to your own opinions and to practice research skills. The quotes are to be integrated into your paragraphs, used here and there. Do not just group all the quotes near the end.
