☆​ History:​
The country was named after King Philip II of Spain -- a name bestowed upon by the Spaniards while the archipelago's numerous tribes had been subjected to colonization and foreign rule. The nation founded therein was ruled under the Spanish crown until its recent revolution, although its self-declared independence was not recognized by other countries during the 1898 Treaty of Paris-- to which Spain, humiliated by the defeat in the hands of the ​indios​, sold the archipelago to America for twenty-million dollars.
After a subsequent four-year "benevolent assimilation" (plus a decade, if counting the Moro Insurrection), the Philippines finally fell into American hands, which followed an era of suppressed nationalism. Regardless, years later a Commonwealth government was granted unto the country, which promised complete independence on 1946-- eleven years after the law came into being. ​Or would it?​

Initially shy and reserved, although is very warm and welcoming upon being familiar with him. Loves gossip, and his optimism borders to cynicism at some point. Always tends to resign outcomes of things to divine intervention/is fatalistic, and irresponsible and lazy. He does have a strong parental instinct although, and will protect everyone he holds close and dear. When angered he will be passive-aggressive about this, but when severely pissed-off ​all Hell breaks loose.

Felipe is short and lean, albeit strong in built and with pronounced muscles from laboring and fighting. His body is littered with scars from fighting and battling, the most prominent one being a deep slash that runs across his throat.
