  1. <i>Cody only knew very little about the woman he was holding a conversation with and had never seen beyond the surface of what she was capable of doing. All he really knew is she really enjoyed getting really rough with her partners, so this was all sorts of new ground for him at the moment. "Hurt me?" He questioned briefly at her words, head tilting to the side some. He hated seeing such an unhappy expression crossing the beautiful woman's face like that, and it made him a little bit guilty that he was bringing these sorts of things up. He knew emotions and such were hard to discuss, but his ear perked a little bit at her question. "I.. I guess? I've chalked it up to just magic bleeding through from the object into me when I use it, so.." The sudden gaze made him briefly hesitate again. He was.. Nervous? He was never nervous unless someone could find the particular means to get under the usual bratty attitude of his.

  3. <i>That usually took some level of work, and Naya had done it just by simply holding a conversation with him. That was impressive, to say the least, but the sudden grasp of her hand brought his attention downwards. "Nn..?" He briefly muttered before he felt that sudden pulse of warmth flowing through him. That sudden sensation, the unity of their apparent life forces actually brought quite a flush to Cody's cheeks. That was.. Unique. Intimate was one word for it, but the sudden alteration, the attempt to unlock the depth of power that had leaked into him through the various, rather careless use of his apparently cursed item caused Cody's breath to stop. A milky shade of white swirled within the depths of his eyes, shading over the emerald gaze that he often held, making him appear momentarily without sight. With a soft exhale, a misty blackness slid from his mouth. Maybe this hadn't been the greatest power to unlock, but it was certainly coming, whether Cody was prepared for it or not.

  5. <i>Something clicked in him as the mist swirled beyond his lips, his form growing briefly still before a rush of inky darkness swallowed over his grey and blue fur, tainting it's color briefly from sight. He was little more than a silhouette at first, faint tethers of the shade grasping towards the woman's hand itself with a wide, rather malevolent grin formed across Cody's features, ethereal claws grasping at her hand before the entire visage seemed to shiver and regress. Giving a sharp inhale, Cody seemed to snap back to being aware of his surroundings, the lack of color suddenly regressing rapidly into a thin mist that dissipated either back into the feline's mouth, or into thin air. The milky white of his eyes had faded, but something was left off. One eye remained it's emerald green state, and the other had gained an ominous, swirling purple hue to it that seemed far from belonging to the cat himself.

  7. <i>Still, Cody seemed to have been altered by the sudden magical influx, his breathing rapid and a bot labored at the sudden rush. He had never been one to play with magic, but it was clear, it didn't like that. A dark purple streak of color had overtaken his once bright, blue locks, meshing strangely in the color that still remained. Clearly momentarily dazed, Cody seemed to be fighting to regain his senses. Any other alterations seemed hidden away beneath his hoodie, minus the new 'ringtail' pattern of blue and dark shades of purple now overtaking his tail. The only thing keeping him standing right now seemed to be his hold on Naya's hand, the cat's attention a bit preoccupied with a new sting in his eye.
