You have eyes of sky blue
bright than the sun
blue, like two stars
radiantly they shine
as sunlight shimmers
off of golden hair and
pale white skin

Six eyes staring, two
with sinister intent
four helpless
as they came
to take you away
and three times a month
on a schedule

Often, never showing up
you know this is false hope
when you stare back into the eyes
of a hunter
looking for even more prey
though now you show,
even more I ask

When you and I are grown,
will I see you and your bright blue eyes again
staring into mine
with trust
and will you visit
when we all need you most
