  1. Jam (It ain’t too much)
  2.
  3. Shiny gold locks
  4. Long tube white socks
  5. I’d say she was petty
  6. Her friends would have said she was pretty
  7. Gleaming a smile
  8. And a mind never with guile
  9.
  10. Skipping away, through the forest and trees
  11. Went little Anne
  12. A red little dress revealing her knees
  13. She had one goal: a simple plan.
  14.
  15. Find the girl
  16. The one with the jam
  17. It’s better than ham
  18. And made out of yams.
  19.
  20. Then it was there.
  21. No need to wander.
  22. Belonging to her;
  23. The House of the beautiful Amber.
  24.
  25. She went through the door
  26. Then she caught her stare
  27. Pale skin and sapphire eyes
  28. But there was more
  29. Small frame and luscious red hair
  30. Anne couldn’t believe her diminutive size.
  31.
  32. Then calm, the redhead savant
  33. Asked the question
  34. What do you want?
  35. In Anne’s direction.
  36.
  37. “I’m here for me dad
  38. He says your jam’s the best he’s ever had.
  39. It’s his birthday today;
  40. I want to bring him some, so be happy he may.
  41.
  42. Then amber laughed at a thought
  43. She knew the girl that had come
  44. Would grow up to have a well-rounded bum
  45. But the urge to say it she fought.
  46.
  47. Then she thought with a smile
  48. “In this little girl I can confide
  49. The jam, the secret I hide”
  50. Then she said: Let’s the ingredients compile.
  51.
  52. Now, reader, I think you should know
  53. This of me, the writer
  54. I don’t know how jam is made so…
  55. Let’s skip to right after
  56.
  57. And there it was; almost complete
  58. But something was lacking, the final ingredient
  59. Amber fetched an empty can
  60. She said it contained love for a girl, maybe a man.
  61. She moved as to pour it into the treat.
  62. And then it was done, in manner expedient
  63.
  64. Then little Anne rolled up her sleeve
  65. Took the jam with her finger,
  66. She wanted to taste the treat made by the ginger
  67. But the taste she couldn’t believe;
  68. She thought there was nothing Amber couldn’t achieve.
  69.
  70. And then it was it was done
  71. Anne took the jam; filled one full jar.
  72. She had to go, the village was far.
  73. To the girl said farewell,
  74. The secret promised not to tell.
  75. Then she left swiftly, skipping under the sun.
  76.
  77. So now you know, in the forest deep.
  78. There does it sleep
  79. There it does it lie, the jam that was better than ham
  80. Made only by her
  81. The pale girl with the wonderful hair
  82. Not many can create that taste
  83. For without any haste
  84. Her secret ingredient was to shove
  85. Into the jam a can full of love.
  86.
  87. The end
