- Jam (It ain’t too much)
- Shiny gold locks
- Long tube white socks
- I’d say she was petty
- Her friends would have said she was pretty
- Gleaming a smile
- And a mind never with guile
- Skipping away, through the forest and trees
- Went little Anne
- A red little dress revealing her knees
- She had one goal: a simple plan.
- Find the girl
- The one with the jam
- It’s better than ham
- And made out of yams.
- Then it was there.
- No need to wander.
- Belonging to her;
- The House of the beautiful Amber.
- She went through the door
- Then she caught her stare
- Pale skin and sapphire eyes
- But there was more
- Small frame and luscious red hair
- Anne couldn’t believe her diminutive size.
- Then calm, the redhead savant
- Asked the question
- What do you want?
- In Anne’s direction.
- “I’m here for me dad
- He says your jam’s the best he’s ever had.
- It’s his birthday today;
- I want to bring him some, so be happy he may.
- Then amber laughed at a thought
- She knew the girl that had come
- Would grow up to have a well-rounded bum
- But the urge to say it she fought.
- Then she thought with a smile
- “In this little girl I can confide
- The jam, the secret I hide”
- Then she said: Let’s the ingredients compile.
- Now, reader, I think you should know
- This of me, the writer
- I don’t know how jam is made so…
- Let’s skip to right after
- And there it was; almost complete
- But something was lacking, the final ingredient
- Amber fetched an empty can
- She said it contained love for a girl, maybe a man.
- She moved as to pour it into the treat.
- And then it was done, in manner expedient
- Then little Anne rolled up her sleeve
- Took the jam with her finger,
- She wanted to taste the treat made by the ginger
- But the taste she couldn’t believe;
- She thought there was nothing Amber couldn’t achieve.
- And then it was it was done
- Anne took the jam; filled one full jar.
- She had to go, the village was far.
- To the girl said farewell,
- The secret promised not to tell.
- Then she left swiftly, skipping under the sun.
- So now you know, in the forest deep.
- There does it sleep
- There it does it lie, the jam that was better than ham
- Made only by her
- The pale girl with the wonderful hair
- Not many can create that taste
- For without any haste
- Her secret ingredient was to shove
- Into the jam a can full of love.
- The end
