I woke up.
A starry sky spread out before me.
It's night.
I'm lying on my back.
Did I faint?
I slowly pick myself up.
I don't feel pain anywhere.
Now then...
Where am I?
What am I doing lying in a place like this?
To begin with...
...Who am I?
Schoolgirl: "Welcome, to the 'Like-Hell-I'm-Dead!' Battlefront. This might sound sudden, but would you mind joining us?"
I hear a voice from behind me.
When I looked back, I saw a single schoolgirl gripping a rifle.
She isn't looking at me, rather, she's looking down the scope of her rifle.
This is a very unusual scene...
Have I wandered onto the set of a movie?
I have no idea how I got here.
What... What is going on?
I feel a chill.
Schoolgirl: "The fact that you're means that you have died."
So said the schoolgirl. Though I'm not certain that she's really schoolgirl. Schoolgirls usually wear uniforms, but you wouldn't usually expect a schoolgirl to be wielding a rifle.
I don't understand, but...
That was my honest impression. Am I right? //not sure about this one.
Schoolgirl: "You died. This is the world beyond death. If you don't do anything, you'll be obliterated."
??: "Obliterated? By whom?"
Schoolgirl: "By God, obviously."
An astounding statement.
??: "God..."
??: "He exists?"
Schoolgirl: "Since this world exists, it would be strange if God didn't exist."
??: "This world..."
Schoolgirl: "How many times do I have to say it? This is the world beyond death. You died."
Schoolgirl: "Well, if you died suddenly, then I guess you wouldn't have realised you died."
??: "I don't remember."
Schoolgirl: "Well, you were probably killed suddenly. You will get your memories back soon enough. That's how this world works."
??: "The world beyond death..?"
Schoolgirl: "Haa... The amnesiacs are always a pain."
