  2.
  3. STARTING ON Nov 5th 2011

  7. ^^IF YOU ARE NEW READ ALL OF THIS FIRST DONT BE STUPID.
  8.
  9.
  10. Facebook is sharing information with law enforcement and marketing companies. These companies sell your information to your employers, sharing your private life with anyone who has the money to buy the information.
  11. Or something like that.
  12. Let's go!
  13.
  14. Press: http://bit.ly/n0kqOd
  15.
  16.
  17. GOALS:
  18.
  19. Expose Facebook's faggotry to as many people as possible.
  20. Scorn Facebook as much as possible in as many ways as we can scheme up. THINK LULZ.
  21. Be sure they know WHY they are being scorned.
  22. Be sure the public know WHY, so that we don't look like internet thugs.
  23. Discuss legal action in the chan. If you wanna be a little punk troublemaker keep it to pm plz.
  24.
  25. AT THIS STAGE, IT IS PRIMARILY AN AWARENESS CAMPAIGN! We are NOT taking FB offline, for practical and political purposes. NO DDoS
  26. There has been a gross misunderstanding caused by the popularized video concerning #opFacebook. Since this video was made by a non-native speaker of English, the word "kill" was used and interpreted liberally by various media outlets to mean a direct hacking attack on the infrastructure of Facebook. This interpretation is distracting from the context of the rest of the message, which aims to warn citizens in a concentrated and creative way of the privacy and security risks involved in using Facebook.
  27.
  28. Methods:
  29. Make this go VIRAL. A YouTube video of a cat can get millions of views in a day, so why can't a real issue like this?
  30. Go out on the day (or a couple days earlier) and use Firesheep to grab as many cookies as you can. On the day, use them to spread the word and such.
  31. Stick some posters all around that planet... Put em' anywhere we may...
  32. Get media attention.
  33. Boycott.
  34. Botnets.
  35. Mass fake profiles.
  36. Memes that mock Facebook.
  37. Spreading info about their bad practices.
  38. Hack admin?
  39. Social engineering.
  40. Produce and spread Unequivocal examples that show data of accounts are still availlable on Facebook's servers.
  41. Show individual facebook users the data that is sold from facebook to other companies
  42.
  43. RESOURCES
  44. Media attention.
  45. YouTube, Twtter, Google+, Reddit.
  46. People to spread links by hand across the web on news site comments, etc.
  47. A go-to place for information/updates/mission, etc.
  48. We are the largest organizational tool on the planet duh
  49.
  50.
  51. REASONS:
  52. Facebook is now the largest database of people on the planet. This data is made available to law enforcement and companies.
  53. Private data is not well protected and can be easily stolen.
  54. Facebook does not respect privacy by keeping and selling all private content posted on its platform.
  55. Applications can acess your profile.
  56. Information on one's profile is still Facebook's property even after profile deactivation.
  57. Facebook can be used to steal from people, hurt them, and manipulate them.
  58. With an attack, we can convince social networks of the future to keep data private and secure.
  59. Massive media attention that we (Anonymous) can do anything (can we?)
  60.
  61. Above all, supply proof against Facebook.
  62.
  63. Create loads of propaganda images and text, which explains WHY
  64. After all, you want to convince people. Facebook is international; propaganda must be translated to the world's major languages.
