Months long abusive experiment on an orange tabby cat called Double Trouble Along with many others.
Removal and Isolation of baby monkeys from their mothers at birth and Subjected to tests Provoking Fear and Axiety.
“I don’t mind when people raise concerns about things we do here”
Reason For Dox:
1. For decades, experimenters at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have been conducting cruel and useless taxpayer-funded "sound localization" studies in which cats have steel coils implanted in their eyes, holes drilled into their skulls, and electrodes implanted in their brains. Sometimes, cats used in this experiment have had their ears cut off or are intentionally deafened by having a toxic chemical applied to their inner ear. The cats are then deprived of food for several days in order to coerce them to look in the direction of sounds during experimental sessions in which their heads are immobilized by a bolt screwed into their skulls.
Double Trouble Was subjected to several invasive surgeries, including the implantation of a steel post in her head, steel coils in her eyes, electrodes in her brain, and cochlear implants in her ears. Because Double Trouble developed a chronic infection and other adverse clinical symptoms, and the implantation of cochlear devices. Double Trouble's open, bloody head wound became a breeding ground for a serious bacterial infection.
Deemed a failure by the study’s principal investigator, Double Trouble was killed in December 2008.
UW staff ultimately determined that their experiment with Double Trouble was a failure, and they killed and decapitated her so that they could examine her brain.

2. Monkey experiment debate
In these experiments, baby monkeys are separated from their mothers after birth and later subjected to tests to provoke fear and anxiety. The monkeys are then killed so that their brains can be dissected and studied.

The University of Wisconsin–Madison fought for more than three years to keep these photographs of Double Trouble's abuse a secret until a successful PETA lawsuit compelled the university to release the disturbing images.

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) filed a 65-page complaint with the U.S. Department of Agriculture > http://www.mediapeta.com/peta/pdf/USDA_complaint_from_PETA_re_UW-Madison.pdf
and sent a similar, 66-page document to the National Institutes of Health highlighting what it believes are eight violations of the federal Animal Welfare Act.

The Continuation of the abuse these poor animals are suffering Must be brought to an End.
We urge that You Eric P Sandgren Put an End to these useless Experiments which are doing nothing but exposing innocent living beings to extreme torture and pain, distress and Death.
Each year, tens of millions of individual cats, dogs, monkeys, and other animals are subjected to barbaric and crude procedures at corporate, government, and university laboratories across North America. Most are eventually killed.
But, together, we can stop the horrific abuse of many of these animals and prevent many more from ever entering a laboratory's doors.
