@Jumwa: There certainly is a difference, but you're approaching it from the wrong direction. For millennia trivialised/glorified violence was the norm, and it's only been recently that we have had anything "realistic and impactful". Importantly, the latter is winning.

I thought this was a whole new tangent you were going on, so stopped talking about that. Of course more should be done, which is where I started out and where I still am, but it is also true that things are better than they ever have been.
