  236. |-------- Interface Menus --------|
  237. |---------------------------------|
  238. |There are a total of 8 interface |
  239. |menus available, with 4 of them -|
  240. |being available from the very ---|
  241. |start of the game. --------------|
  242. |The interface menus are located -|
  243. |at the left and the right of the |
  244. |dialogue box. They can be used --|
  245. |with every compatible input -----|
  246. |mentioned in the 'controls' -----|
  247. |section. On the sides of an -----|
  248. |interface menu are 2 arrows that |
  249. |are used to switch between the --|
  250. |different interface menus. Note -|
  251. |that this can also be done by ---|
  252. |rolling the mouse wheel while ---|
  253. |hovering over an interface menu. |
  254. |In this manual we will refer to -|
  255. |the first 4 interface menus that |
  256. |are available from the beginning.|
  257. |The initial setting is the ------|
  258. |'Items' menu on the left side and|
  259. |the 'Map' menu on the right side |
  260. |of the dialogue box. The items --|
  261. |menu is simple, resembles a -----|
  262. |tiny casket decorated with ------|
  263. |gemstones and displays either a -|
  264. |carried item in form of a card, -|
  265. |or an empty field marked with a -|
  266. |'N/A' marking. ------------------|
  267. |If one selects or hovers over an |
  268. |item, the usage and effect of the|
  269. |respective item will be explained|
  270. |automatically in a small popup --|
  271. |window. -------------------------|
  272. |The item menu, in the enlargened |
  273. |view, will display descriptions -|
  274. |of the items right away, and is -|
  275. |used to order or dispose of most |
  276. |items of small relevance. -------|
  277. |The map menu shows Your ---------|
  278. |character's current position and |
  279. |is used to move from one screen -|
  280. |to another. ---------------------|
  281. |One can either move in single ---|
  282. |steps by selecting the next field|
  283. |in the desired direction, or ----|
  284. |activate the travel mode, by ----|
  285. |selecting the dot that represents|
  286. |Your own position. For the ------|
  287. |maximum aesthetical experience, -|
  288. |the missing cursor is the only --|
  289. |thing that will indicate if one -|
  290. |is in travel mode or not. -------|
  291. |In travel mode one can move by --|
  292. |using directional input which is |
  293. |faster than selecting each next -|
  294. |field separately. However it is -|
  295. |advised to be cautious while ----|
  296. |doing this in dangerous areas, --|
  297. |You have been warned! -----------|
  298. |Any input other than directional |
  299. |one will quit the travel mode. --|
  300. |The status menu shows Your ------|
  301. |current status, abilities and ---|
  302. |achievements as well as Your aura|
  303. |that will change through actions |
  304. |with npcs and other events in the|
  305. |game. Having a light aura is most|
  306. |likely to result in experiencing |
  307. |more positive events and will ---|
  308. |attract more npc's to You. ------|
  309. |Having a dark aura is most likely|
  310. |to result in experiencing more --|
  311. |troublesome events, as well as --|
  312. |attracting other npc's with dark |
  313. |auras - which can be profitable, |
  314. |or very very bad. However, this -|
  315. |description is not the case every|
  316. |time, as dark aura characters can|
  317. |attract light aura ones, as well |
  318. |as vice versa. Auras are not to -|
  319. |be confused with the duality of -|
  320. |good and evil in such a simple --|
  321. |way, which results in being able |
  322. |to play a chaotic good character |
  323. |for example (dark aura, good ----|
  324. |motivations) - it is however ----|
  325. |advised that first time players -|
  326. |strive for a light aura, which --|
  327. |will result in an easy start and |
  328. |slowly balanced difficulty rise. |
  329. |The status menu does not have any|
  330. |options to choose from and does -|
  331. |only display data. --------------|
  332. |The log book is the fourth and --|
  333. |last interface menu that we will |
  334. |look into for now, as it is the -|
  335. |last of the 4 interface menus ---|
  336. |that are available from the very |
  337. |start. --------------------------|
  338. |The log book is both a dialogue -|
  339. |logger as well as a memo feature.|
  340. |It is separated in 3 parts: -----|
  341. |The quest log part, which logs --|
  342. |important dialogues for quests, -|
  343. |the dialogue log part which logs |
  344. |and categorizes every dialogue --|
  345. |one has had, and the memo part --|
  346. |which is empty by default and can|
  347. |be used to store own memos. The -|
  348. |keyboard is featured and --------|
  349. |suggested as the input device for|
  350. |this. For other input, a visual -|
  351. |and clickable keyboard will -----|
  352. |replace the dialogue box while in|
  353. |the enlarged view. --------------|
  354. |The log book as a whole is just -|
  355. |as intuitive as the other menus -|
  356. |described earlier and that is why|
  357. |we spare You to read further ----|
  358. |documentations about it. --------|
