  1. __RACE DESCRIPTION__
  2.
  3. A race of semi-insect like humanoids that live underground, all praising the god of law and purity Zin the Law-Giver due to the society holding the concept of 'justice' in high regard. The beings are human-looking most of the time, though unusually pale due to their underground life. However, the race posses the ability to take on a exoskeletally-armoured insect-based form for a period of time every day. This form provides [for its duration] increased strength, endurance, and a leser increase to agility. The species suffers a base loss to these stats in their 'human' form, though their strong sense of justice provides a small improvement to charisma. The insectoid form lasts for 7 'turns' with an equal recharge time. the species also prefers unarmed combat, though with equipment relating to the bug the individual is based on.

  35.
  36. A 'Kamenite' [Commonly known as 'bug-knights' or, in less favourable tones, 'buggies'] That found the underground life in I'takion to be unfulfilling His mantis-like exoskeletal form decreeing he belonged among soldiers of the settlement, and Katec himself rather wanting to be an explorer fled his home to take to the 'topside' as he people knew it in search of something more fulfilling, though still carrying a sense of justice and purpose common in his people.
  37.
  38. In appearence he has the pale skin his race usually bares, the irisless eyes also possessed for the ability to see in the underground areas they have not lit with torches, and close-shaven dark hair unbleched by sunlight. His skin bears a slightly green tint as oppopsed to human red, due to the insect-like blood. Otherwise he slightly short [5ft 8in] and relatively lean from what training he did participate in before fleeing. In his mantis for he remains mostly the same shape, though with dark green and darker brown armour-like plating over his form, including a 'helmet' with antennae and large, red, rounded 'eyes'. This armour grows from the skin incredibly quickly and in a process mostly painless to the tough skin of his kind. The armour features mantis-like sharp ridges along the arms, for use in unarmed combat.

  40. __FURTHER RACE LORE/ OTHER__
  41.
  42. There are multiple settlements and villages amongst the Kamenites, spanning underground chasms conjoined with cave systems, most with their own small 'topside' entrances/exists, a building or modified small cavern entrance to indicate a settlement and make passage between the settlements and topside easier as uncommon as it is. The race would have fights or 'wars' between eachothers tribes and settlements, but of course there would be strong moral conduct in these fights and stepping outside of this standard would lead to ramifications from even previously uninvoled nearby tribes to those specifically responsible.
  43.
  44.
  45. As far as within their own tribes, the sense of justice means crime rates are low and punishments are dealt fairly, though it leads to an overly-strict sort of society that, by our standards, would be too reserved for its own good in some cases. They also live by a 'funcitonist' purpose, insect form dictates what you end up doing to some degree. People with docile insect-bases are in the more homely jobs like teaching and caretaking, while people with more aggressive insect forms are in leadership or defense positions like soldiers or tribe leaders
  46.
  47. Their society also values family a lot, making Katec's fleeing something that may weigh on Katec's mind guiltily, and cause trouble should he return.
