  1. I think Pink Shirt Day is a good idea. It boosts children's self-esteem and helps promote bullying awareness. However, I don't think it will per se have much of an effect on the bullies themselves. Why should some kids wearing pink shirts that say "stop bullying" make the bullies want to stop? There are people who just don't care about other people.

  3. Not only will the pink shirts have little to no effect, they can give bullies another thing to harass students, specifically boys, about. Boys wearing pink shirts is generally considering unfashionable and "girly". If you don't want to get bullied, my advice is don't do anything, or in this case wear anything, that will make you a prime target. I realize that bullying someone because of their clothes is not nice and fairly nonsensical, but unfortunately, the bullies themselves either don't understand or don't care.

  5. On the Internet, I tend to bully (or "troll", as per Internet English) people a lot. For example, I think that people who post photos of themselves and caption them as "im so ugli" are very annoying, and obviously they just want attention. So instead of commenting on their pictures with, "no u r rly purdy", I say something along the lines of, "You're right, you are very ugly." I know that it is a mean thing to say, but maybe it'll teach them a lesson about how the Internet was not created for 12 year old girls to ruin the experience for everyone who has a minimal amount of intelligence (i.e. >2 brain cells). Now, I can truthfully say that Pink Shirt Day will not stop me from continuing to do this. I understand that it has a good cause behind it, but honestly, I don't feel that it moves me at all.

  7. Anyway, after insulting them, I usually get drawn into conversations that simply make the other person look even worse, as all they really say is "ur dum" in a hundred different ways.

  9. So, to get back to my original point, Pink Shirt Day won't stop bullying. In fact, I don't think anyone or anything can completely stop bullying. It's something we'll have to get used to and deal with instead of tattling to our mommies every time someone says they don't like us. (Please excuse my aggressiveness. I tend to rant and ramble on about almost irrelevant things sometimes.)
