  1. Tidus Crackfic Entry
  2. One day, Tidus swam out to see to get a little solo blitzball training in. It was a normal day for him as he tossed the ball in the air and kicked it around, swimming against the ocean current as he kept his body in shape for the next tournament. What he didn’t expect, however, were how bad the waves were that day. In the middle of training a current came in and washed his ball away. “Hey! Get back here!” Tidus let out a grunt as he chased after the ball. Finally retrieving it, he smiled and laughed lightly until he heard a rush of water behind him. Turning, he saw a wave coming up behind him, ready to crash down on him. Tidus let out a gasp of panic as he tried to swim away, but he got caught in the wave and was washed away. Tidus blacked out for awhile, but when he came to he was on a beach that he had never seen before. He looked around for a moment before calling out. “Hello! Is anyone there?” Nothing; no response. Tidus was deserted on an island alone.

  4. It had been months since Tidus washed up onto the island. All he had with him was the blitzball he was training with. Doing the best he could to survive, he lived off the berries and coconuts he found on the island and made shelter out of the trees around him. He survived pretty well on his own…until his sanity started to slip. Being alone for so long drove Tidus a little crazy. It started simple; he would talk to himself as he wandered the island, conversing as if there was another person with him. As time went on he started talking to trees as if they were real people. This didn’t seem strange at all at first, until he named one of the trees Wakka and started blitzing with it.

  6. A few more months went by and Tidus had practically lost it. Every morning he would wake up and find himself food, talking non stop as if he was at a party and the attention was all on him. Tidus saw nothing wrong with what he was doing; in fact he enjoyed it all and did it with a big smile on his face. Wake up, eat, talk to the island, swim, go back to eating, talk a little more, and then back to sleep. The cycle repeated forever until one day Tidus woke up and announced out loud, “I need a friend!” Turning to his left, he smiled as he saw the blitzball sitting near him. Take a few berries, he crushed them in his hand and painted a face on the ball with the juices. He smiled as he held it up and blocked out the sun with it. “Your name is Blitzen, and you’re my best friend!”

  8. The two were inseparable. Well, they really had nowhere else to go, but Tidus kept Blitzen close by for everything. Eating, sleeping, training, Blitzen was always by Tidus’ side. He told Blitzen everything about his life, from when he got transported to Spira up until now. He spoke for hours, adding great detail to his story as if he was trying to impress the blitzball. At one point Tidus stopped and smiled at Blitzen. “You’re a great listener. WAY better than Wakka, that’s for sure.” Before bed Tidus kissed the blitzball and snuggled into it. “I love you, Blitzen. Never leave me.”

  10. One day while Tidus was out training with Blitzen, a wave appeared just like it did when he got washed away from Besaid. Tidus gasped and went underwater, swimming against the current that the wave was making. He had made it back to shore, panting and gasping for air. Standing up and looking around, something was missing. Something was…wrong. Tidus’ head kept swiveling to find the problem when he spotted it out on the ocean; Blitzen was washed away by the currrent. Tidus rushed to the edge of the beach, but the current was too strong for Tidus to go save him. He dropped to his knees, tears streaming down his face as he cried for his lost blitzball buddy. “Come back to me, Blitzen! I don’t wanna be alone!” He threw his fists into the air in anger as he screamed for the ball to return. “BLITZEN! BLITZEN! BLITZEN!”

  12. “Tidus, wake up!” Tidus let out a gasp as he sat up, panting heavily. He looked over to his right and saw Yuna sitting there, a worried look on her face. “Are you okay? You were yelling in your sleep.” Tidus stared at her blankly for a moment before letting out a sigh of relief. It was all a dream…He shifted the way he was sitting and turned to her. “Yeah, it was just a bad dream.” Yuna ran her fingers through his hair, a light giggle escaping her. “No more ice cream before bed, you.” Tidus chuckled and nodded as he stood up. He helped Yuna up to her feet and kissed her forehead. “C’mon. Let’s go get breakfast. I’m starving.” She nodded and turned to exit the hut. Tidus followed her, but stopped for a moment as he spotted something in the corner; a blitzball with a face painted on it. Tidus stared for a moment, his eyes wide in shock, before he shook his head and left the hut.
