  9. ∙ Install Tor Browser Bundle and Proxifier:

  11. ‣ https://www.torproject.org/download/download-easy.html.en

  13. ‣ https://www.proxifier.com/download.htm (30-day free trial)

  15. ∙ Start Tor then Proxifier.

  19. ∙ In Proxifier: Click the Profile menu, then Proxy Servers.

  21. ∙ Click Add and enter the following:

  23. ‣ Address: 127.0.0.1
  24.  
  25. ‣ Port: 9150
  26.  
  27. ‣ Socks version 5

  29. ∙ Click Ok and Yes to set as Default.

  33. ∙ In Proxifier: Click the Profile menu and click Proxification Rules.

  35. ∙ Put a check in the first rule named Localhost.

  37. ∙ Click Add, select Proxy SOCKS 127.0.0.1 for the Action, and click Ok.

  39. ∙ Make sure the New rule comes after Localhost and before Default then click Ok.

  43. ∙ Start your regular web browser or open a new tab (not the Tor browser which is already open).

  45. ∙ Try logging in to Parachat and test to see if others can read your messages.

  49. ∙ If nobody responds to you or if the connection's refused:

  51. ∙ Go to the Tor browser, click the green onion icon in the top left, and click New Identity.

  53. ∙ Go back to your regular browser and try again.

  57. ∙ Once you have a Tor proxy that works, go back to Proxifier and change the New rule's Action to Direct.

  59. ∙ Parachat will stay Tor'd while new tabs/programs continue using your regular connection.
