- [04:54] <Hound00med> Hey. So, I'd appreciate it if we could have a conversation without you leaving the IRC, okay?
- [04:55] <Dusty> Ok.
- [04:55] <Hound00med> So I'm not gonna beat around the bush... The members of ANA are pretty frustrated
- [04:55] <Dusty> Why?
- [04:56] <Hound00med> It seems that they are doing a lot of the work, particularly in maintaining the Google doc, and you don't seem too interested in actually owning the agency. You're the OP of the thread, but you don't seem to want to tweak things or listen to the rest of your group
- [04:56] <Hound00med> I have to say that from I've witnessed, your communication skills with the rest of your group are pretty awful
- [04:56] <Hound00med> Any time your group has expressed concerns you seem to brush them off
- [04:57] <Dusty> I'm very sorry about that. Earlier, I had a family emergency.
- [04:57] <Hound00med> I'm very sorry to hear that, but they've had these concerns before today, too.
- [04:58] <Hound00med> You don't seem to want to consider the rest of your group at all. You wanted some organisers and the agency, which is fine, however, I think that the suggestion of getting you in the sidebar may have gone to your head. While I do admit that I am the one who suggested the agency idea, I had hoped you'd do a little more research before stumbling into the idea
- [04:58] <Dusty> What would they like me to change?
- [04:58] * kewe (~textual@c-67-180-82-162.hsd1.ca.comcast.net) has joined #ANA
- [04:58] <Hound00med> Well, look, here's the deal
- [04:58] <Hound00med> The rest of your group would like to break away. It's obvious your goals within the agency are different
- [04:59] <Hound00med> You'd like to cycle quickly, get through some villagers and help people get some villagers along the way
- [04:59] <Dusty> What is their goal?
- [04:59] <Hound00med> While the others would like to calm things down, and give people their dreamies in a proper fashion
- [04:59] <kewe> I'm back for a bit. Did I miss anything exciting?
- [04:59] <Hound00med> Both are acceptable
- [04:59] <Hound00med> However, the rest of the group don't feel that you are willing to listen to their concerns
- [04:59] <Hound00med> And witnessing the conversations in this particular chat tonight, it's obvious they're right
- [04:59] <Hound00med> So, I'm going to make a suggestion to you
- [05:00] <Hound00med> Because I don't think you're a bad person for wanting to cycle the way you do
- [05:00] <Hound00med> I just don't think that it's suitable for Reddit. So here's my suggestion
- [05:01] <Hound00med> Consider doing the bulk of your cycling on TBT. TBT's bumping function means that you can do live cycling, similar to how you did it before, with great efficiency, and people will stalk your live thread, waiting for villagers to pop up. 10 min holds before voiding are fairly common, and work well
- [05:01] <Hound00med> I think that the way threads work there would work for your style
- [05:01] <Hound00med> HOWEVER
- [05:01] <Hound00med> If you feel as strongly about TBT as you are suggesting. Then I have a further suggestion
- [05:01] <Hound00med> Don't make one single thread to do your trades
- [05:02] <Hound00med> If you stick around the form enough, you notice, in particular, users like /u/ricky_king making separate threads for each villager
- [05:02] <Hound00med> You can leave them up for as long as you want, and youdon't need to care about voids
- [05:02] <Hound00med> You can do things how you wanna do them, and you don't need to restrict yourself with rules
- [05:02] <Hound00med> You can have general rules like no running or whatever, and you can make it work
- [05:02] <Hound00med> But, whichever you choose, I don't think the agency thing is quite your style, and the others are feeling that to the point where they'd like to break away
- [05:03] <Dusty> But I have given many people the villagers they have reserved in the agency.
- [05:04] <Hound00med> Which is fine, but your holding policy leaves a lot to be desired, and I still don't believe that you're happy with holding villagers for ~24 hours for someone to answer
- [05:04] <Hound00med> Am I wrong?
- [05:05] <Dusty> No, you're not wrong but I can hold villagers for 24 hours if you would like.
- [05:05] <Hound00med> No, this isn't about what I'd like. I want you to do things with how you feel comfortable, and I'm aware of the fact that you don't want to do that
- [05:05] <Hound00med> The group knows it, I know it, and you know it
- [05:06] * @tomato (webchat@c-66-229-236-165.hsd1.fl.comcast.net) Quit (Ping timeout: 182 seconds)
- [05:06] <Dusty> I'm OK with it now.
- [05:06] <Dusty> I won't try to powercycle anymore.
- [05:07] <Hound00med> Dusty, I don't think it's quite sinking in. The group wants to separate away from the agency that's there, and they would like to make a different one. So you need to make a choice about what you would like to do
- [05:08] <Dusty> So you want me to make a new agency?
- [05:08] <Hound00med> I want you to do whatever makes you feel comfortable, but, getting to know your cycling style, I made suggestions that reflected that
- [05:08] <Hound00med> It's fine if you'd like to ignore those, but I just want you to do something that works for you and that you can stick with
- [05:10] <Dusty> So I can cycle villagers in TBT and give villagers people reserve on Reddit.
- [05:11] <Hound00med> Well, that's one option. But honestly you can do reserves on TBT as well, or, you can do reserves on Reddit and do separate threads like you've been doing. The point is that you need to stay consistent, and you need to find something you can stick with
- [05:11] <Dusty> I'll stick with giving people villagers they reserve on Reddit.
- [05:12] <Hound00med> Okay, but I just wanted to hammer home the point that you need to think clearly about what you want to do. I suggest not jumping into anything straight away. Perhaps just do some separate MO's on Reddit, give yourself some time and find out what works for you

- [05:13] <Dusty> Thank you for being so cooperative and I'm sorry for the other members in ANA for not
- [05:14] <Dusty> communicating well.
- [05:14] <Hound00med> I'd appreciate it if you apologise to all of them :) ... Through PM or something, just to make that point clear for them
- [05:14] <Hound00med> But I'll leave it with you, decide what you'd like to do
- [05:15] <Dusty> Will do! Again, I'm truly sorry for causing problems.
- [05:15] <Hound00med> It's okay. Please let us know if you have any other queries.
