>decide to just go tell the cops they saw a strange guy in the forest or something
>get to police station next day after school
>guy at the front desk is the same guy they shot the other day
>they leave the police station saying nothing looking like idiots
>plan to go back into the forest that night and demand answers on what the fuck happened from bird

>find bird, then ambushed by a bunch of enemies

>defeating that guy the other day somehow saved his life
>seems the infection hasn't spread outside to anyone outside of the forest yet
>bird mentions strange noises coming from school lately
>break into school, end up in school theater
>"shit anon what if the security cameras catch us"
>steal shit from prop closet, introducing disguise mechanic in game
>go around school defeating enemies and shit until you fight the principal in a boss fight
>come back the next day, principal is fine but the school is a mess and they have security camera footage of MC and co. running around and are trying to catch who did this
>decide to lay low for the next while, bird mentions he hasn't seen any infected people since
>about a week later, you come home to cousin watching TV
>"hey anon, did you hear? *insert random gameshow* is filming just outside of town!"
>watch TV with cousin
>OH SHIT gameshow host has the same yellow eyes the infected people in the forest and school had
>meet with FemBro and bird the next day
>decide that MC will enter the gameshow and somehow take out the host
>Bro character finds out the next day that MC is entering, and wants to come along for auditions
>go later that day to auditions
>they get there late and nobody is there
>guy working the audtions tells them to fuck off and that they aren't excepting anymore submissions
>Bro character gets mad and demands MC gets in (he just wants the prize money)
>Gameshow host comes out of room asking what's going on (still has the yellow eyes), sees MC and Bro character going apeshit
>Host approches MC, tells him there's no way he'll stop him or dumb some shit like that
>Bro character has no idea what the fuck is going on
>Studio guards turn into demons
>*insert Bro awakening scene here*
>get the fuck out of TV studio
>MC and pals decide to hijack the filming anyways and take the Host out before he infects more people
>first real dungeon begins

Also if it matters, one of the contestants is a party member who joins the team after the dungeon, he's kinda a stoner-like problem child who always skips school and in his s-link it's revealed he was trying to win the prize money to bail his dad out of jail for a crime that was his fault since he blamed his father for it being the idiot he is.
