Ryoubi Meets The Parents

Anon was eager to move his relationship with Ryoubi forward and he paid out of his own pocket for both of them to fly back to his home town and meet his parents. She was overflowing with questions about Anon's native land like: whether it was acceptable to brandish her gun in public, whether the food there would make her breasts larger, what his home was like and whether she would have to 'put up with shit from bitches with huge American meatsacks on their chests.'

 

He did his best to reassure her that it was going to be fun but she was obviously anxious about the whole thing. It wasn't easy to be in a foreign country where you don't know the language and face your partners family. Anon was as patient with her as possible but Ryoubi was visibly shaken and muttering to herself the whole trip. She constantly had her face buried in a Japanese-English dictionary and asked Anon what every word meant.

 

At the doorstep to Anon's family home she clutched to him for dear life and as the door opened it took all of her strength to not blurt out a barrage of insults and swears purely out of instinct. Not that Anon's parents would understand but it's the principle. Anon's parents greeted him but anything beyond 'hello' was lost on Ryoubi and they spoke so fast and in a strange accent. All of her practice was in vain.

 

"H e l l o, I ' m g i r l f r i e n d." She stuttered. So far so good, it wasn't perfect but Anon's parents seemed to understand and were satisfied with her greeting. They asked her a bunch of questions which to Ryoubi were at lightning speed and filled with new words. She looked to Anon for mercy and he helped her get through it. She struggled to put on a smile and it looked like she was about to crack. "A n o n b o r n h e r e ?" she asked.

 

Anon's parents laughed and Ryoubi cowered as if she had made a mistake but Anon pet on the head and reassured her. She was still in the clear. They'd be staying under the same roof as his parents for this trip and Anon lead Ryoubi to their room. On the way Ryoubi turned to Anon's mother and asked "G r a n d m o t h e r c o r r e c t ?" Anon's mother gasped then chuckled. Ryoubi watched as Anon and his mother went back and forth by the end they both had smiles on their faces so maybe it was okay.

 

Once inside the room Anon's parents gave the young couple a little space. Ryoubi locked the door and stomped over to Anon with a scowl on her face. She playfully slapped his arms and kicked at his shins in frustration even leaving a couple of bruises "That was so embarrassing! I'm not speaking English again! That was the worst!" Anon laughed at her shyness, which only coaxed the petite shinobi to keep smacking him.

 

At least the worst part was over. After she stopped slapping Anon.
