  31. [17:05] <KamenWriter_> It is evening of Day 5
  32. [17:05] <KamenWriter_> Karsten has already hung out with his cyndaquil
  33. [17:06] <KamenWriter_> SO, lets start with Elsa
  34. [17:07] <KamenWriter_> Elsa, you're going to use your time to work on your fire traps.
  35. [17:07] <KamenWriter_> Right?
  36. [17:07] <Elsa> (Yes)
  37. [17:07] * Elsa has already planned out several spots and will start digging the foundations for the most rudimentary ones with Anbruch and Wyrda
  38. [17:08] * Elsa had given the present to the two secondary litwick brothers as well
  39. [17:09] <KamenWriter_> Alright. give me either an education check or an athletics check
  40. [17:10] <Elsa> 2d6+4 edu
  41. [17:10] <DiceMaid-9001> Elsa, edu: 11 [2d6=3,4]
  42. [17:10] * Elsa works smart, not hard
  43. [17:11] <KamenWriter_> You have your DOGE Pokemon dig for you
  44. [17:11] <KamenWriter_> And use the time to plan things out.
  45. [17:13] <KamenWriter_> You can start using time slots to set Fire traps at any time. They are typed traps, so they will be more effective against certain mobs than others.
  46. [17:13] <KamenWriter_> NOW
  47. [17:13] <KamenWriter_> Ivan, how about you next
  48. [17:14] * KamenWriter_ is going in the order of least work for me to most work for me
  49. [17:14] ->> You are now known as KamenWriter
  50. [17:14] * Ivan is headed over to the prison to NOT GLOAT to the brothers.
  51. [17:14] <KamenWriter> You head over to City Hall's jail
  52. [17:15] <KamenWriter> As you arrive, you find that Viri, Celebi, Shaymin, and Terrakion have somehow gotten ahold of a tea set. It's floating in the air, apparently under Celebi's power, and everyone has a cup.
  53. [17:15] <KamenWriter> Terrakion looks miserable.
  54. [17:17] <Ivan> "Two brothers and two fairies? This is getting ridiculous."
  55. [17:17] <KamenWriter> <Oh! Ivan. Would you like some tea?> :D
  56. [17:18] <KamenWriter> Celebi makes another cup appear an the tea pours itself, <It's from Ceylon, 1754. Good year. Very strong.>
  57. [17:18] * Ivan nods. "{Of course. I came here to make sure you were both properly comfortable, but looks like you're doing well.}"
  58. [17:19] <KamenWriter> Virizion smiles over his cup, "Oh yes, I certainly am."
  59. [17:19] <KamenWriter> Shaymin is sitting in Virizion's lap holding a teeny tiny cup. He doesn't seem to like it much, but pretends to like it.
  60. [17:20] <KamenWriter> "It's unfortunate that my friend Celebi had to be caught between his love of humanity and his loyalty to nature. I have missed this."
  61. [17:21] <KamenWriter> <I keep telling you, if you get out of the woods sometimes, you can see Humans at their best, among themselves. They're beautiful people.>
  62. [17:21] <KamenWriter> "And inside the woods? I have not seen the best side of humanity, clearly, but what does it say that that side exists in the first place?"
  63. [17:21] <KamenWriter> It seems you've walked in on their spirited discussion
  64. [17:22] <KamenWriter> For this scene, BTW, Shaymin will be pink
  65. [17:23] * Ivan opens his mouth to respond to that, then drinks his tea instead. "{Nature is no kinder than humanity, don't try to fool anyone with that.}" He leans against the opposite wall from the brothers. "{Since it seems that there are a lot of you beasts of legend about, I thought I should ask just who else is out there?}
  66. [17:24] <KamenWriter> "No one I'll tell you about, spy," says Virizion, smugly.
  67. [17:25] <KamenWriter> "And it's not a matter of kindness. It's a matter of balance."
  68. [17:26] <KamenWriter> "I'll be the first to say that an Ekans hiding in the grass for a Ratatta to make a meal out of is not kind, but Ratatta breed quicker than Ekans, so there will always be enough to go around for both."
  69. [17:27] <KamenWriter> "Humans have pushed into the woods hard, throwing the entire ecology out of balance. Some species have thinned out, some go extinct, and the species that rely on them suffer for it."
  70. [17:27] * Ivan counts as his fingers. "{Four generals, I'll assume the Four Swordsmen. Beast, whale, dragon. Fairy and little fairy. The Devil. Your leader and our patron. Is mythology laundry list, yes?"
  71. [17:28] <KamenWriter> "Oh? And tell me. How much do you know of any four swordsmen?"
  72. [17:29] <KamenWriter> "Brother, let him talk. His speech is empty searching for information," says Terrakion.
  73. [17:29] <Ivan> "{Not much, your stories are more popular in the West. But I am sure the American knows, at least. She seems to know a lot about you all.}" Sip.
  74. [17:30] <KamenWriter> "Oh yes. We've heard much about her as well... or at least her family."
  75. [17:30] <KamenWriter> Says Viri
  76. [17:31] <KamenWriter> "There are relatively few of us in your "Mythological Laundry List" after all. Word gets around."
  77. [17:32] <Ivan> "{Yes, I just do not want to drag non-players like little fairy here into game.}"
  78. [17:32] * DiceMaid-9001 is now known as Jessie
  79. [17:32] * Jessie is now known as DiceMaid-9001
  80. [17:33] <KamenWriter> He pets the hedgehog on the back, "Shaymin has as much a stake in the balance of the woods as I do. He was never meant to fight. Only to do his part."
  81. [17:34] <KamenWriter> <I would have fought if you'd asked me.> :(
  82. [17:34] <KamenWriter> "But I didn't."
  83. [17:35] <Ivan> "{So, what is the rule then? If you can get another legend to stand up and fight for you, do we get another champion as well?}"
  84. [17:35] <KamenWriter> "Oh course. You have the same opportunity."
  85. [17:35] <KamenWriter> "Groudon appears eager to help out you humans."
  86. [17:36] <KamenWriter> "And don't pretend that we don't know about Giratina's little loopholes in the rules."
  87. [17:37] * Ivan shrugs. "{I pretend at nothing.}"
  88. [17:38] <KamenWriter> "So, any other reason you've come to speak with us, or may we get back to our tea?"
  89. [17:39] <Ivan> "{No, although...when the game is over, if we win, what happens to you? Are you trapped as humans forever, then?}"
  90. [17:40] <KamenWriter> At this, Virizion seems to get quiet.
  91. [17:40] <KamenWriter> "No. We won't be stuck."
  92. [17:40] <Ivan> "{Killed then.}"
  93. [17:41] <KamenWriter> "We won't lose."
  94. [17:41] * Ivan laughs. "{Oh! Of course not, that's why I said if. IF you lose, what then? Or can you not even face the possibility?}"
  95. [17:43] <KamenWriter> "I'm finished speaking with you, human."
  96. [17:44] <Ivan> "{Seems I struck a nerve. Who knew the great general could be so delicate?}"
  97. [17:44] <KamenWriter> "More like it's simply unwise to give the enemy more information."
  98. [17:45] <KamenWriter> "Always leave them wanting more. That's the saying, isn't it?"
  99. [17:46] <Ivan> "{Sure, but this is hardly information that could be weaponized. We know what happens if -we- lose. Isn't it fair that we all know the stakes? Isn't it...honorable to keep the ante in plain sight?}"
  100. [17:46] <Ivan> 3d6+7 Guile
  101. [17:46] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, Guile: 16 [3d6=5,3,1]
  102. [17:46] <KamenWriter> "Hmmph. I'll tell you this much, human."
  103. [17:46] <KamenWriter> "The same thing I've told your allies."
  104. [17:46] <KamenWriter> "Don't trust your so-called 'Champion.'"
  105. [17:47] <KamenWriter> "Even if you win, you won't be the one gathering the spoils of war."
  106. [17:47] <Ivan> "{I don't trust him and I don't care. I just want to go home.}"
  107. [17:48] <KamenWriter> "Ah, but will the home you go back to truly be the one you left?"
  108. [17:48] <KamenWriter> Terrakion cuts in, "Don't tell him any more brother. He doesn't need to know any of this."
  109. [17:49] * Ivan shakes his head. "{I already surmised as much. Without you four...five? In your proper places, the world will be different. But you've forced us to choose that or choose destruction. There really isn't a choice at all.}"
  110. [17:49] <KamenWriter> "This is war! We are on opposite sides," the mustachioed soldier continues, "Giving you what you want isn't the way this goes."
  111. [17:49] <KamenWriter> "We are done talking."
  112. [17:50] <Ivan> "{Very well. Whatever ends up happening, know that you agreed to this. We didn't have a choice.}" He returns the tea cup and waves them off as he leaves.
  113. [17:51] <KamenWriter> Alright!
  114. [17:51] <KamenWriter> Next: Cait!
  115. [17:51] <KamenWriter> You head down south.
  116. [17:52] <KamenWriter> As Karsten described, there's a ruined bridge just past the fishing shack, and the water is extremely wild.
  117. [17:52] <KamenWriter> Across the river you can see a thick line of trees.
  118. [17:52] * Cait lets her pokemon out except Sunny.
  119. [17:53] <KamenWriter> You surmise that it might take 4 days of hard work to rebuild the bridge using the stones and rocks and trees around the area.
  120. [17:54] <KamenWriter> Although, you think you might be able to settle it in less time.
  121. [17:54] <Cait> She first talks to Sky and Snow, "Keep an eye on Aqua, he might get swept up by the currents; stick to the shallows Aqua." She nods, and surveys; what would be the fastest way to do this?
  122. [17:55] <KamenWriter> Chopping down a few trees and using the logs to brace the bridge against the current might be the best way to go along. HOWEVER.
  123. [17:55] <KamenWriter> Give me a Perception or Education check
  124. [17:56] <KamenWriter> Or Intuition
  125. [17:56] <KamenWriter> Whichever you feel like
  126. [17:57] <Cait> 2d6+2 perception
  127. [17:57] <DiceMaid-9001> Cait, perception: 8 [2d6=5,1]
  128. [18:00] <KamenWriter> You think that whever work you do... might be in vain. Looking closely at the blocks of stone left on the banks, you realize that the water was strong enough to break them into smaller pieces.
  129. [18:01] <KamenWriter> Its possible that whatever you do today might be undone by the morning.
  130. [18:01] * Cait thinks. sitting on one of the bigger rocks.
  131. [18:02] <Cait> "Is there a way..." She mumbles alloud, "That I could make the bridge, THEN put it in the river?"
  132. [18:03] <KamenWriter> It would probably take more engineering smarts than you have at the moment.
  133. [18:03] <KamenWriter> Maybe Elsa would know?
  134. [18:03] * Cait takes the time to cut down trees anyway, might as well get some of the hardwork started; plus its good excercise.
  135. [18:04] * Cait sets aside any trees she cuts down plus any that have already fallen.
  136. [18:04] <KamenWriter> Either way, just for coming here and inspecting the bridge closely and getting some work done, you get 3 trainer exp.
  137. [18:05] <KamenWriter> And your pokemon that participated get 20 exp each
  138. [18:05] <KamenWriter> MEANWHILE, Rudiger.
  139. [18:06] <KamenWriter> You head north into Terrakion's old base.
  140. [18:07] * Rudiger heads north, chuging along
  141. [18:07] <Cait> Sky mostly just helped; Snow watched over Aqua as aqua had some actual running water to play in.
  142. [18:07] <KamenWriter> What are you aiming for? The mushroom chamber or a chat with Groudon?
  143. [18:08] <Rudiger> [I haven't meet groudon before :U, so probably the mushrooms!]
  144. [18:08] <KamenWriter> Ok
  145. [18:08] <KamenWriter> You head slightly northwest to the secondary entrance, then turn sharply to the right.
  146. [18:09] <KamenWriter> It's dark for a long time, but soon, you arrive in the bioluminescent chamber containing a STAGGERING amount of Paras and Parasect
  147. [18:09] * Rudiger keeps an eye out for mobile muhrooms
  148. [18:09] <Rudiger> "
  149. [18:09] <Rudiger> "{Oh my!}"
  150. [18:09] <KamenWriter> The mushrooms are on the walls.
  151. [18:09] <KamenWriter> And cieling, and floor
  152. [18:09] <KamenWriter> Everywhere really
  153. [18:10] <KamenWriter> However, the Paras and Parasect stare at you. It seems they are bunching together, standing between you and the mushrooms.
  154. [18:10] <Rudiger> "Insect, ask you leave!"
  155. [18:11] <KamenWriter> Yeah, they don't leave. They quite like it here.
  156. [18:11] <KamenWriter> If you approach, it will be a fight. Do you approach?
  157. [18:12] <Rudiger> "I give last warning." He holds a pokebal and points his gun at a parasect
  158. [18:13] <KamenWriter> Just for fun
  159. [18:13] <KamenWriter> Education: Pokemon check
  160. [18:13] <Rudiger> 1d6+1 I GOT THIS
  161. [18:13] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, I GOT THIS: 2 [1d6=1]
  162. [18:13] <KamenWriter> ...
  163. [18:14] <KamenWriter> Yeah, you think yelling orders at Paras as if they were people and expecting them to understand you is reasonable
  164. [18:14] <KamenWriter> Yup. Perfectly reasonable
  165. [18:14] <KamenWriter> (For the record that was a "Don't roll a 1" check.)
  166. [18:14] <KamenWriter> (Cograts)
  167. [18:15] <KamenWriter> Welp
  168. [18:15] <KamenWriter> They don't back down
  169. [18:15] <KamenWriter> So speeds please
  170. [18:15] <Rudiger> "{Damn insects won't listen, I guess I'll have to take them out by force.}"
  171. [18:15] <Rudiger> Rudiger: 22 Speed
  172. [18:16] * KamenWriter sets topic to: Rudiger 22, Parasect x2, Paras x 10
  173. [18:16] <KamenWriter> And your pokemon
  174. [18:16] <KamenWriter> ?
  175. [18:16] * Rudiger throws out a pokeball and points to the paras, as a tiny lizard pops out. "Ritchofen... Please assist me"
  176. [18:17] * Rudiger imitates best nice sounding voice
  177. [18:17] <KamenWriter> Alright.
  178. [18:17] * KamenWriter sets topic to: Rudiger 22, Ritchofen 10, Parasect x2, Paras x 10
  179. [18:18] <KamenWriter> rudiger's go first
  180. [18:19] * Rudiger fires his gun at the Paras
  181. [18:19] <Rudiger> 1d20 Drill peck parasect*
  182. [18:19] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, Drill peck parasect*: 10 [1d20=10]
  183. [18:19] <KamenWriter> Hit.
  184. [18:20] <Rudiger> 3d6+8+16
  185. [18:20] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, 3d6+8+16: 32 [3d6=2,5,1]
  186. [18:21] <KamenWriter> The first Parasect takes the 3x attack
  187. [18:21] <KamenWriter> But is still up
  188. [18:21] <KamenWriter> Barely
  189. [18:22] <KamenWriter> Charmander's turn
  190. [18:22] * Rudiger points again. "Okay.... Show strength I ask... sorry for yell, burn with flames?" He sounds pretty sorry for yelling.
  191. [18:23] <Rudiger> 1d20 #torched
  192. [18:23] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, #torched: 5 [1d20=5]
  193. [18:23] <KamenWriter> Ritchof thinks you're acting weird, but goes ahead.
  194. [18:23] <Rudiger> (At a paras)
  195. [18:23] <KamenWriter> Yup
  196. [18:23] <KamenWriter> Hits
  197. [18:23] <KamenWriter> Don't even both rolling damage. The Paras immediately bursts into flames.
  198. [18:23] <KamenWriter> It's down
  199. [18:23] <Rudiger> 2d6+8+12
  200. [18:23] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, 2d6+8+12: 23 [2d6=1,2]
  201. [18:24] <Rudiger> (Oh)
  202. [18:24] * KamenWriter sets topic to: Rudiger 22, Ritchofen 10, Parasect x2, Paras x 9
  203. [18:24] <Rudiger> (Oh god)
  204. [18:24] <KamenWriter> However, it's not the Parasect's turn.
  205. [18:24] <KamenWriter> *now
  206. [18:24] <KamenWriter> Two spores. One on you and one on the Charmander
  207. [18:24] <KamenWriter> Naturally you're wearing your gas mask
  208. [18:24] <KamenWriter> But your Charmander is not
  209. [18:25] <KamenWriter> At least I HOPE you're wearing your gasmask for this
  210. [18:25] <Rudiger> Yes
  211. [18:25] <KamenWriter> ok
  212. [18:25] <KamenWriter> Next
  213. [18:26] <KamenWriter> 9#1d20 5 leech lifes on Charmander, 4 on Rudiger
  214. [18:26] <DiceMaid-9001> KamenWriter, 5 leech lifes on Charmander, 4 on Rudiger: 7 [1d20=7], 17 [1d20=17], 19 [1d20=19], 16 [1d20=16], 20 [1d20=20], 11 [1d20=11], 9 [1d20=9], 10 [1d20=10], 7 [1d20=7]
  215. [18:27] <KamenWriter> 1d8+5+9 They all do this much except the crit
  216. [18:27] <DiceMaid-9001> KamenWriter, They all do this much except the crit: 21 [1d8=7]
  217. [18:27] <KamenWriter> 2d8+10+9 which does this much
  218. [18:27] <DiceMaid-9001> KamenWriter, which does this much: 24 [2d8=1,4]
  219. [18:28] <KamenWriter> Remember that bug is NVE on fire
  220. [18:28] <KamenWriter> Doesn't help those four on Rudiger much
  221. [18:29] <KamenWriter> Applying damage? :B
  222. [18:30] <Rudiger> (Yes)
  223. [18:31] <Rudiger> (How close are they?)
  224. [18:31] <KamenWriter> They're all swarmed up into melee range with you
  225. [18:32] <KamenWriter> Rudiger's go
  226. [18:33] * Rudiger waits a second and orders his Charmander. "Awaken! Ember!"
  227. [18:33] <Rudiger> 1d20 Burning
  228. [18:33] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, Burning: 2 [1d20=2]
  229. [18:33] <Rudiger> (You would)
  230. [18:33] <KamenWriter> Uh oh
  231. [18:34] <KamenWriter> You may want to escape.
  232. [18:36] * Rudiger suddenly returns the Charmander (-2 AP Round Trip), And releases his Pidgeotto Argi as he runs away, the bird in tow
  233. [18:36] <KamenWriter> Since you skipped Rudiger's turn, I'll let you take it now, before the sects and Paras act. What do?
  234. [18:36] <KamenWriter> Gotcha
  235. [18:36] <KamenWriter> You run
  236. [18:36] <KamenWriter> The Paras don't follow you. They appear happy spending their time in the damp cave.
  237. [18:37] <KamenWriter> You earn 2 Trainer exp and 22 exp for that.
  238. [18:37] <Rudiger> (Sweet)
  239. [18:37] <KamenWriter> Discretion is the better part of valor
  240. [18:37] <Rudiger> (I'll probably return and just use gust later)
  241. [18:38] <KamenWriter> (That's a good idea)
  242. [18:38] <KamenWriter> ANYWAY
  243. [18:38] <KamenWriter> It's getting dark
  244. [18:38] <KamenWriter> You all return to camp and get into the hospital and ready yourselves for the nightly raid
  245. [18:38] * KamenWriter rolls privately
  246. [18:39] * Rudiger doesn't look for Karsten to heal his wounds, that'd be WEAK
  247. [18:40] <KamenWriter> Alright! You DO indeed get raided that night
  248. [18:40] <Karsten> Too bad, Rudiger is taking his goddamn medicine.
  249. [18:40] <KamenWriter> And it's actually a very large swarm
  250. [18:40] <Karsten> Medics outrank everyone in the hospital.
  251. [18:40] <Karsten> Uh oh.
  252. [18:41] <KamenWriter> Everyone roll a Perception check, and if you wish, a combat check
  253. [18:42] <Karsten> 2d6+2; 3d6+3
  254. [18:42] <DiceMaid-9001> Karsten, 2d6+2: 10 [2d6=5,3]; 3d6+3: 13 [3d6=4,1,5]

  261. [18:44] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, 3d6+2: 13 [3d6=1,6,4]
  262. [18:44] <Rudiger> 3d6+1 AYE AYE EYE

  266. [18:45] <KamenWriter> Please say which check you're making when you roll
  267. [18:45] <Cait> percep; combat
  268. [18:45] <Ivan> that wsa perception
  269. [18:45] <KamenWriter> k
  270. [18:45] <Rudiger> (That was perception sorry)
  271. [18:45] <Elsa> 9 perception, 27 combat
  272. [18:45] <Rudiger> Oh and
  273. [18:45] <KamenWriter> Alright
  274. [18:45] <Ivan> 3d6+2 Combat I forget that he has this trained
  275. [18:45] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, Combat I forget that he has this trained: 13 [3d6=4,2,5]
  276. [18:45] <Rudiger> 5d6+3 COMBAT
  277. [18:45] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, COMBAT: 19 [5d6=1,4,1,5,5]
  278. [18:46] <KamenWriter> Alright
  279. [18:46] <Karsten> (Mine was perception, then combat)
  280. [18:47] <KamenWriter> The next morning, the barricade looks fairly bad compared to other times you've defended it
  281. [18:48] <KamenWriter> However, on their shifts, Rudiger and Ivan noticed:
  282. [18:48] <KamenWriter> The swarm of pokemon was mostly made up of Water types and steel types!
  283. [18:48] <KamenWriter> As well as fighting types.
  284. [18:50] <Rudiger> "{Seems there are more fish... Similar to my own.}"
  285. [18:51] <Karsten> "Oogh... sat vas not a good night."
  286. [18:52] * Cait cracks her neck in the morning, stretching.
  287. [18:52] * Elsa yawns and stays laying down until Anbruch or Wyrda fuss
  288. [18:52] <Ivan> "Seems other brothers are going on offense. Water, steel, and fighting types."
  289. [18:53] <Elsa> <I will need to make an adjustment.>
  290. [18:53] <Karsten> "Se steel types are hard to fight." he admits.
  291. [18:53] * Ivan nods. "I will scout to the west. Do not venture out too far again."
  292. [18:53] <Elsa> <Metals become brittle after cooling from a flame.>
  293. [18:54] <Cait> "Also, fire types are strong against steel types! mostly."
  294. [18:54] * Elsa nods to Cait, that was the point she was making
  295. [18:54] * Cait is helpful.
  296. [18:55] <Karsten> "Sat -is- helpful but I do not sink Maus is strong enough for sat. I'd rather not involve her until she's ready..."
  297. [18:55] * Karsten is cuddling the Cyndaquil at the moment, in fact.
  298. [18:55] <Cait> "Same." She nuzzles the adorable little bird she has.
  299. [18:56] <Cait> "Sunny here is still really young. Should we try to find where the water pokemon are coming from next then?"
  300. [18:56] <KamenWriter> Alright, Karsten, and Elsa, since you haven't done anything yet today, lets begin day 6 with Giratina.
  301. [18:56] <Karsten> "Given se river... I vould guess west."
  302. [18:56] * Ivan lets out his gifted Pokemon, now a burly Monferno that clings to his back. He doesn't say anything, but clearly shows off.
  303. [18:56] <Karsten> *vest
  304. [18:56] <KamenWriter> While Rudiger and Cait figure out what to do
  305. [18:56] <Karsten> "First sough, I have somesing I sink I should take care of."
  306. [18:56] * Elsa tks Vindhler up, floating away to go about her day
  307. [18:57] <Karsten> "Nicholas is bosering our dreams, I sink, I am going to see vat he vants."
  308. [18:57] <Cait> She nods. "I was out there yesterday evening. Its gonna take a bit of work to get a bridge that goes across those swift waters. Anything I'd put up would've just got washed away."
  309. [18:57] <KamenWriter> Alright
  310. [18:57] <Rudiger> "I came clear out base... But was bested."
  311. [18:57] <KamenWriter> So, Karsten and Elsa head into the mansion
  312. [18:57] <Elsa> <I will accompany you, going alone would not be advised when dealing with him.>
  313. [18:58] <Cait> "Hah, so that's what all those bug bites were about."
  314. [18:58] * Karsten nods. "I'll see if I can help you sometime, Cait, but vith se vater like that... vell, I'll be back."
  315. [18:58] * Karsten heads to the mansion with Cait.
  316. [18:58] <Cait> "Also, don't trust that pokemon, he's bad news."
  317. [18:58] * Cait isn't going, Elsa is.
  318. [18:58] <Karsten> er
  319. [18:58] <Karsten> *Elsa
  320. [18:58] <Karsten> My bad. :B
  321. [18:58] <Karsten> "No vorries, I vill be careful."
  322. [18:59] <Elsa> <It might be better to seek out a place the river is more shallow, or an overhang that would allow easier access to the other side, Cait.>
  323. [18:59] <KamenWriter> It's dark, but you notice that now that they're used to you humans coming around and doing business, they're a lot more forthcoming about showing themselves
  324. [19:00] <KamenWriter> The ghosts that is
  325. [19:00] * Elsa keeps litsquad out on her shoulders, floating along
  326. [19:00] <Cait> "Hrm, maybe go explore for that then. Was anyone going west?"
  327. [19:00] <KamenWriter> They are all quite happy to see you.
  328. [19:00] <Ivan> "I vill."
  329. [19:01] <KamenWriter> You head down into Giratina's study.
  330. [19:01] <Cait> "...Oh."
  331. [19:01] <KamenWriter> He is in human form at the moment, well-dressed as usual.
  332. [19:01] <KamenWriter> "Ah, greetings."
  333. [19:01] <Elsa> <Yes, good morning.>
  334. [19:02] <Karsten> "Guten morgen."
  335. [19:02] <Karsten> "I... sink you vanted somesing?"
  336. [19:02] <KamenWriter> "Ah good. You got my message."
  337. [19:02] <Karsten> "{Wait, you understand German, don't you? Easier like this.}"
  338. [19:02] * Karsten nods.
  339. [19:03] <KamenWriter> "Yes indeed." Like other legendaries, he appears to be speaking without a language. You simply understand him.
  340. [19:03] <KamenWriter> "It's about my stock of available pokemon."
  341. [19:04] <KamenWriter> "It seems that since you've defeated two of the four generals, my stock has expanded somewhat."
  342. [19:04] <KamenWriter> "Certain ground types and fire types are now available, as well as my ghosts."
  343. [19:05] <KamenWriter> "And... I believe that I may be able to carry rock and grass types if certain conditions are met."
  344. [19:05] <Elsa> <If the brothers are at the point of ending hostility, wouldn't it benefit us more to ask them?>
  345. [19:06] <Elsa> <If they were. I should say.>
  346. [19:06] <KamenWriter> "Oh, don't get me wrong. It has nothing to do with them. Those hard-heads won't acquiece to anything you say."
  347. [19:06] * Karsten raises an eyebrow, thinking on that.
  348. [19:07] <KamenWriter> "However, if you manage to prove to other pokemon of that type that humans are more trustworthy than they were led to believe... well..."
  349. [19:08] <KamenWriter> "Your standoffish friendship with Groudon has made ground types available, and your champion's influence appears to make many fire types volunteer."
  350. [19:08] * Elsa raises an eyebrow in interest
  351. [19:08] <Karsten> "{I see... that's a bit of an interesting situation...}"
  352. [19:08] <KamenWriter> "Unfortunately, I couldn't say what you need to do."
  353. [19:09] <KamenWriter> "I can only tell you to keep your eyes open."
  354. [19:10] <Elsa> <Are there any other leaders of these Pokemon that could be talked to. Speaking to each one individually would prove fruitless.>
  355. [19:11] <KamenWriter> "Well, you might look around. I know that Rayquaza is chief of the flying types, while Kyogre might be able to override the general's hold on water types, but it will be difficult to convince them, since you're already so close to Groudon."
  356. [19:11] <KamenWriter> "And neither of them are as friendly towards humans."
  357. [19:12] <Karsten> "{Perhaps not necessarily leaders... maybe something like rescuing pokemon in distress and having word of mouth travel as it were?}"
  358. [19:13] <Elsa> <Hrmm, the only reliable way we could hope to accomplish that is to make sure events where we could help transpire, which is just as likely to backfire.>
  359. [19:13] <Elsa> <So I suppose I should thank you for the tip of keeping our eyes open, as it seems our only option.>
  360. [19:13] <KamenWriter> He nods.
  361. [19:13] * Karsten just shakes his head at Elsa's suggestion.
  362. [19:14] <Elsa> <I did say it was a poor idea.>
  363. [19:14] <KamenWriter> "That's all I needed. Is there anything you would like to buy while you're here?"
  364. [19:14] <KamenWriter> "Keeping the new stock in mind."
  365. [19:15] * Elsa does take a look at the fire types, idly
  366. [19:15] * Karsten considers it and browses the ground types.
  367. [19:15] <KamenWriter> He opens a book and shows you.
  368. [19:16] <KamenWriter> It seems like there's a large list. Somehow even though it's only 2 pages, it seems to stretch into eternity.
  369. [19:16] <KamenWriter> You see a list of all of the fire, ghost, and ground types he has available. It's not every single one, however.
  370. [19:16] <KamenWriter> (Make an offer. I'll tell you if it's available)
  371. [19:17] <KamenWriter> He mostly carried first-tier and single-stagers
  372. [19:17] * Elsa looks for Darmanitan
  373. [19:18] <Karsten> Stunfisk
  374. [19:19] <KamenWriter> Darumakas and Stunfisks are both available.
  375. [19:19] * Elsa passes, but does ask to see a thunderstone
  376. [19:19] <KamenWriter> Natch
  377. [19:19] <KamenWriter> He's got them
  378. [19:20] * Karsten pays up for a Stunfisk
  379. [19:21] <KamenWriter> You pay 1.00 for a stunfisk
  380. [19:21] * Elsa inspects it for a moment
  381. [19:22] * Elsa buys the thunderstone with german monies
  382. [19:22] <KamenWriter> You pay a buck fifty for the thunderstone
  383. [19:24] <KamenWriter> Alright, so next
  384. [19:25] <KamenWriter> Rudiger, Cait, are you still bonding with pokermans?
  385. [19:25] <Cait> hrm.
  386. [19:25] <Cait> I go with Ivan!
  387. [19:25] <KamenWriter> Okay
  388. [19:25] <KamenWriter> Rudiger
  389. [19:25] <KamenWriter> Roll your bonding check
  390. [19:26] <Rudiger> 2d6+1+2 using 2 ap for RITCHOFEN
  391. [19:26] <DiceMaid-9001> Rudiger, using 2 ap for RITCHOFEN: 9 [2d6=1,5]
  392. [19:26] <Rudiger> (So close :<)
  393. [19:27] <KamenWriter> Is that charm?
  394. [19:27] <Rudiger> (mhm)
  395. [19:27] <KamenWriter> Okay
  396. [19:27] <KamenWriter> Ritchofen responds much more to this new Rudiger
  397. [19:28] <KamenWriter> He seems to like playing more than boot camp
  398. [19:28] <KamenWriter> And in fact, he likes it so much that he begins to glow!
  399. [19:28] <KamenWriter> The heat coming off of him is becoming more intense
  400. [19:28] <KamenWriter> And soon, the Charmander has grown up into a handsome Charmeleon.
  401. [19:29] * Rudiger looks at the little Lizard and actually smiles
  402. [19:29] <KamenWriter> And he's all cocky about it, like "Yeah. I had it in me the whole time."
  403. [19:29] <KamenWriter> Cool
  404. [19:29] <KamenWriter> Alright, so Ivan and Cait
  405. [19:30] <KamenWriter> Oh but first.
  406. [19:30] * Cait goes with Ivan whether he likes it or not, "If we do run into something, I can just run."
  407. [19:30] <KamenWriter> 1d2 ability;1d36;1d2 gender
  408. [19:30] <Ivan> "Unless it vants to fight one on one, yes?"
  409. [19:30] <DiceMaid-9001> KamenWriter, ability: 1 [1d2=1]; 1d36: 5 [1d36=5]; gender: 1 [1d2=1]
  410. [19:31] <KamenWriter> Stunfisk has Static, is Patient-natured, and is male. He's level 20
  411. [19:31] <KamenWriter> Cait and Ivan head west
  412. [19:32] * Cait heads west!
  413. [19:33] <KamenWriter> Once you're out and past the western train tracks, which direction do you err more? Northwest towards the mountains, due west into the woods... Southwest is basically the river and eventually you would arrive at the fishing shack again
  414. [19:34] * Ivan has Misha out with him to assist in the scouting. "Ve move into forest, more cover."
  415. [19:34] <KamenWriter> Alright. As you move through the western woods, you're surprised to find that the area isn't very heavily guarded or patrolled.
  416. [19:35] <Cait> "Sure; remember we're looking for a good place for a bridge."
  417. [19:36] <KamenWriter> no stealth check is required, due to how few patrolling pokemon there seem to be. The only pokemon you see are wild ones.
  418. [19:36] <KamenWriter> Western Woods has been added to the list of safe areas
  419. [19:36] <Ivan> "Vhy? Unless General is -in- river, ve can go over."
  420. [19:37] <KamenWriter> However, eventually in your scouting, you come across something strange
  421. [19:37] <Cait> "Do you want to get in the water with pokemon who want to bite us?"
  422. [19:37] <KamenWriter> Eventually you come to an area where the trees are broken up and cracked.
  423. [19:37] <Ivan> "Over, not zhrough. Dima and Elona can fly."
  424. [19:37] <KamenWriter> It's like something large came through this area very fast
  425. [19:38] <Ivan> 4d6+2 Survival tracks or details
  426. [19:38] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, Survival tracks or details: 13 [4d6=4,1,4,2]
  427. [19:38] <KamenWriter> Sure.
  428. [19:38] <KamenWriter> In your professional opinion.
  429. [19:38] <KamenWriter> It looks like a plane may have crashed nearby
  430. [19:38] <KamenWriter> And recently too
  431. [19:39] <Cait> 2d6+2 all i can do is perception
  432. [19:39] <DiceMaid-9001> Cait, all i can do is perception: 9 [2d6=5,2]
  433. [19:39] <KamenWriter> The wreckage doesn't look like it would be too far from there.
  434. [19:39] <Ivan> "Zhis...does not look like Pokemon." He gestures at all the broken trees.
  435. [19:39] <KamenWriter> It's due west, the direction you're heading.
  436. [19:39] * Ivan ducks into cover with Misha and starts to stalk towards the wreckage.
  437. [19:40] <KamenWriter> Eventually, you come across the wreckage.
  438. [19:41] * Cait looks around the wreckage, concerned for any survivors.
  439. [19:41] * Ivan examines the plane itself, looking for any kind of country markings.
  440. [19:42] <KamenWriter> It appears to be a british airplane, judging from the flags and evidence on the wreckage
  441. [19:42] <KamenWriter> Two perception checks please
  442. [19:42] <KamenWriter> One from each of you
  443. [19:42] <Ivan> 3d6+2
  444. [19:42] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, 3d6+2: 10 [3d6=3,4,1]
  445. [19:44] <Cait> 2d6+2
  446. [19:44] <DiceMaid-9001> Cait, 2d6+2: 7 [2d6=1,4]
  447. [19:44] <KamenWriter> Ivan: You search around the wreckage and find some marching orders. Apparently, the pilot was in the air on the way to a dogfight over Germany
  448. [19:45] <KamenWriter> Naturally, there's no reason he would be in Italy
  449. [19:45] <KamenWriter> Cait: In looking for evidence of survivors, you succeed!
  450. [19:46] <KamenWriter> You find faint, recent footprints heading north
  451. [19:46] * Cait points these out to Ivan!
  452. [19:46] <Cait> "Ivan...there are other people here!"
  453. [19:47] * Ivan hands the orders to Cait to read. "So it seems. But does zhat mean zhere are more generals, too?"
  454. [19:48] <KamenWriter> It's coming to the end of the morning.
  455. [19:49] <Ivan> Regardless, he starts to follow the tracks, but isn't quite as stealthy. "Ve don't vant to sneak up on him, yes? Is better if he knows ve are allies."
  456. [19:49] * Cait thinks, reading it.
  457. [19:49] <KamenWriter> Following the tracks north would cost another timeslot
  458. [19:49] <Ivan> Alright, do it~
  459. [19:50] * Cait does so!
  460. [19:50] <KamenWriter> Alright
  461. [19:50] <KamenWriter> You head north
  462. [19:50] <KamenWriter> Eventually, you come close to the western edge of the mountains.
  463. [19:51] <KamenWriter> The tracks are harder to follow over the rocks, but you know his direction. He's walking along the mountain.
  464. [19:53] <Ivan> "Hopefully he did not get caught in attack last night."
  465. [19:53] <KamenWriter> Eventually, you begin to hear singing. "Oh it's a long wa~y to tipperary~"
  466. [19:54] <KamenWriter> "It's a long, long way to gooo~"
  467. [19:54] <Cait> "Hello!" she calls out
  468. [19:54] <Ivan> "Hello?"
  469. [19:54] <KamenWriter> It suddenly gets quiet
  470. [19:55] <KamenWriter> From a small cave you hadn't noticed before, you see a frightened face pop its head out
  471. [19:55] <KamenWriter> It's a young-looking blonde man with a small fussy little mustache.
  472. [19:55] <Cait> (was the writing german or american?)
  473. [19:55] <KamenWriter> Upon seeing other people, his face splits into a wide grin, "My friends! You've finally come!"
  474. [19:55] <KamenWriter> (The writing was english. :B)
  475. [19:56] <KamenWriter> He has a pronounced British accent
  476. [19:56] <KamenWriter> "Jerry must have got the drop on me. I've been out here a few days, what."
  477. [19:56] <Cait> "Sir...do you know where you are?"
  478. [19:57] * Ivan looks at Cait. "I don't zhink so."
  479. [19:57] <KamenWriter> "No clue. Must have been blown quite off course."
  480. [19:57] <KamenWriter> He looks at your clothes. Cait is wearing uniform pants, isn't she?
  481. [19:58] <Cait> She is. "Well...the easy part is, you are in Italy."
  482. [19:58] <KamenWriter> "Ah! Strange ways they have out here."
  483. [19:58] <KamenWriter> "You don't sound Eye-talian, miss."
  484. [19:59] <Cait> "American."
  485. [19:59] * Ivan shakes his head. "She is American. I am Russian."
  486. [19:59] <Cait> "And have you TRIED walking through the woods in a full length skirt?"
  487. [19:59] <KamenWriter> :O "BULLY!"
  488. [20:00] <KamenWriter> "To find allies all the way out here. I would have preferred a jolly old londoner, of course, but in such a time can any man complain?"
  489. [20:00] <KamenWriter> "Here, let me get my things."
  490. [20:00] <KamenWriter> He rushes back into the cave, talking all the while, "If you're out here, it must mean the army's nearby, doesn't it? No other reason for a russian and an American to be out here."
  491. [20:01] <Cait> "No."
  492. [20:01] <Cait> She says somewhat glumly.
  493. [20:01] <KamenWriter> "Oh... Well, all the same."
  494. [20:01] <Cait> She looks at Ivan, with a 'how do we tell him' kinda look.
  495. [20:01] <KamenWriter> He pops his head back out, "You're not lost as well, are you?" D:
  496. [20:02] <Ivan> "Zhere is lot to explain." He shrugs at Cait and says quieter. "Perhaps fairy can explain, vas at hall yesterday."
  497. [20:02] <KamenWriter> :I "Well either way, could you give me a hand here, chap?"
  498. [20:02] <KamenWriter> He goes back into the cave.
  499. [20:02] * Cait looks at Ivan, and goes in.
  500. [20:02] <Ivan> "Yes, of course." He tips his head to have Cait cover him as he moves over to the cave.
  501. [20:03] * Cait covers him instead then :I
  502. [20:04] <KamenWriter> It seems that he has a few supplies. He's carried two rucksacks with him all the way here.
  503. [20:04] <KamenWriter> "My back has been acting up recently, my friend."
  504. [20:04] <KamenWriter> "Could you get these?" :3
  505. [20:04] <KamenWriter> Without even waiting for an answer, he walks out of the cave
  506. [20:04] <Ivan> 3d6+1 Intuition is this a good idea
  507. [20:04] <DiceMaid-9001> Ivan, Intuition is this a good idea: 14 [3d6=3,5,5]
  508. [20:04] <KamenWriter> You don't see why not.
  509. [20:04] <KamenWriter> Although that's kind of a dick move
  510. [20:05] * Ivan goes to pick up one of the bags and gestures for Cait to please grab the other.
  511. [20:05] <KamenWriter> They're fairly heavy.
  512. [20:05] * Cait grabs the one easily with one hand.
  513. [20:05] <Ivan> "Vat are you carrying in zhese?"
  514. [20:06] <KamenWriter> "Oh, extra rations, pokeballs, and just a little hobby of mine."
  515. [20:06] <KamenWriter> He waits outside of the cave for you to lead him back to civilization
  516. [20:07] <KamenWriter> Ivan: You can carry them fine, but it does impede your walking speed a bit.
  517. [20:08] <KamenWriter> :( "Why miss, why are you carrying one? I didn't mean to have a pretty lady do the heavy lifting."
  518. [20:08] * Ivan drops the sack and recalls Misha, then releases Dima and hands the Golett the bag. "{Can you carry this, Dima? I need to focus on scouting.}"
  519. [20:08] <KamenWriter> "Hand it to our Russian friend. They are built like Oxen. He can handle it."
  520. [20:08] <KamenWriter> The Golett carries it.
  521. [20:09] <KamenWriter> He seems disappointed to see that you are not built like an Oxen, Ivan :I
  522. [20:09] <Ivan> He thanks Dima in Russian a few times, then starts to lead the way back to camp with the Golett floating overhead.
  523. [20:10] * Cait looks at the man, then grabs the bag from Dima as well, "I'm good."
  524. [20:10] * Cait hefts the two big bags.
  525. [20:10] <KamenWriter> He follows, astonished :(
  526. [20:10] * Cait grins
  527. [20:11] <Ivan> "You should know, before ve arrive, zhat ve are holed up vith Germans. Is greater enemy out here."
  528. [20:11] <KamenWriter> "With Jerry!?"
  529. [20:11] <KamenWriter> "There's Germans about? Why didn't you say so before?"
  530. [20:11] <Cait> "None of them are named Jerry."
  531. [20:11] <Ivan> "Is not first choice, but necessity."
  532. [20:11] <KamenWriter> :3 "Oh no, miss. You know. Jerry, the Jermans."
  533. [20:12] <KamenWriter> "Not sure what necessity there could be to hole up with the enemy, but I'm sure there must be a very good one."
  534. [20:12] <Cait> "Oh right. sorry, used to the french slang."
  535. [20:13] * Ivan nods. "Yes, ve fight different var here. You are long vay from zhe front."
  536. [20:14] <Cait> "We're a long time away from the front..."
  537. [20:14] <KamenWriter> "By the way. Sergent Charles Archimedes, at your service."
  538. [20:14] <KamenWriter> "Charlie to my friends."
  539. [20:15] <Ivan> "Ivan."
  540. [20:15] <Cait> "Cait, Caitlin if you prefer."
  541. [20:17] <Cait> "Basically, Charlie. We're not out here fighting the germans. Like Ivan said, matter of neccessity has made strange bedfellows."
  542. [20:17] <KamenWriter> "Ah, Kate~"
  543. [20:17] <KamenWriter> you are call'd plain Kate,
  544. [20:17] <KamenWriter> And bonny Kate, and sometimes Kate the curst;
  545. [20:17] <KamenWriter> But, Kate, the prettiest Kate in Christendom,
  546. [20:17] <KamenWriter> Kate of Kate Hall, my super-dainty Kate,
  547. [20:17] <KamenWriter> For dainties are all Kates, and therefore, Kate, 1035
  548. [20:17] <KamenWriter> Take this of me, Kate of my consolation-
  549. [20:17] <KamenWriter> Hearing thy mildness prais'd in every town,
  550. [20:17] <KamenWriter> Thy virtues spoke of, and thy beauty sounded,
  551. [20:17] <KamenWriter> Yet not so deeply as to thee belongs,
  552. [20:17] <KamenWriter> Myself am mov'd to woo thee for my wife.
  553. [20:17] <KamenWriter> He recites
  554. [20:17] <KamenWriter> Not really listening
  555. [20:18] <KamenWriter> "Hurm, anyhow, what was taht about Germans?"
  556. [20:19] <Ivan> In Russian, Ivan explains to Dima that Russian poetry is much more artistic than the simpleness of the Western languages.
  557. [20:19] <Cait> "...we're not fighting them out here."
  558. [20:19] <KamenWriter> "Oh?"
  559. [20:19] <Cait> "The pokemon here are much more deadly."
  560. [20:19] <KamenWriter> "Why not?"
  561. [20:20] <Ivan> "Ve have handful of legendary Pokemon lead armies against us."
  562. [20:20] <KamenWriter> "Pokemon? That's... odd."
  563. [20:20] <KamenWriter> "I suspect those newfangled balls they gave us should be a big help."
  564. [20:21] <KamenWriter> He holds up one such ball he had in his pocket. It's grey, but has been Monogrammed with an H
  565. [20:21] * Cait frowns, looking at it.
  566. [20:21] <Ivan> "Vat is zhat?"
  567. [20:22] <KamenWriter> "I've got a couple. One I caught here and one I brought back with me."
  568. [20:22] <KamenWriter> He retrieves the other pokeball.
  569. [20:22] <KamenWriter> And releases them both.
  570. [20:22] <KamenWriter> It's a Cubone and a Hypno.
  571. [20:23] <KamenWriter> "The Hypno, she was a gift from mother. The Cubone was living in the cave with me."
  572. [20:23] <KamenWriter> "They're Hamlet and Ophelia."
  573. [20:23] * Cait nods, "Shakespeare then."
  574. [20:23] <Ivan> "Ah, yes, ground types are very friendly here."
  575. [20:24] <KamenWriter> "Oh yes! The bard is my favorite author."
  576. [20:24] <KamenWriter> "In school we played a production of Lear."
  577. [20:24] <KamenWriter> "I played Goneril."
  578. [20:25] <Cait> "I can tell you enjoy the arts."
  579. [20:26] <KamenWriter> "Have you ever been bitten by the bug, Bonny Kate?"
  580. [20:26] <Cait> "My mother insisted I learn the fine arts."
  581. [20:27] <KamenWriter> "Bully!"
  582. [20:28] <Cait> "..." She looks over at Ivan.
  583. [20:28] <KamenWriter> You are approaching the town
  584. [20:28] <Ivan> "Charles, vas it?" Ivan looks back at Cait. "You seem vell for survive plane crash."
  585. [20:29] <KamenWriter> "Miracle isn't it?"
  586. [20:29] <KamenWriter> "I expected to be worse off than I was."
  587. [20:29] <Cait> "Do you think...he was brought here as well?"
  588. [20:30] <KamenWriter> "Brought here?"
  589. [20:30] <KamenWriter> "It's just Italy, chaps, I simply got blown a little south."
  590. [20:30] <KamenWriter> He obviously doesn't really comprehend the geography.
  591. [20:31] * Ivan pauses. "Cait, you can hand bag to Brit, he is not hurt."
  592. [20:32] <KamenWriter> :I "What are you talking about? I said my back is out."
  593. [20:32] * Ivan gives Cait a serious face.
  594. [20:32] <Cait> "Hand bag? Wait, I think I understand what you mean." She looks at the man, "I am Technically a field nurse."
  595. [20:32] <Cait> "Let me make sure you're doing alright, okay?"
  596. [20:32] <KamenWriter> "Err..."
  597. [20:33] <KamenWriter> "You're a nurse?"
  598. [20:33] <KamenWriter> He coughs, "Well, I suppose yes. I think I'm starting to feel a little better."
  599. [20:33] <KamenWriter> "Here. I'll take a bag. I'll manage."
  600. [20:34] <KamenWriter> He puts out a hand to take a bag.
  601. [20:34] <Cait> "Technically. We have someone in the village that's much better than I." She, reluctantly, hands the bag to the man..
  602. [20:34] <KamenWriter> Alright
  603. [20:34] <KamenWriter> You arrive in the town.
  604. [20:35] <KamenWriter> Elsa has begun to repair the barricade.
  605. [20:35] <KamenWriter> Shall we do Karsten's adventures in the ruined town first or would you like to talk to Charlie for a while?
  606. [20:36] <Ivan> (Karsten can go)
  607. [20:36] <Cait> Karstenventure~
  608. [20:36] <KamenWriter> ALRIGHT
  609. [20:36] <KamenWriter> Karsten
  610. [20:36] <KamenWriter> While this is all going on, you head east
  611. [20:37] <KamenWriter> True to what you guys saw, there are several strange trees that have popped up.
  612. [20:38] <KamenWriter> Of course, you're not stupid enough to fall for this trick more than once
  613. [20:38] * Karsten just sighs when he sees the sudowoodos.
  614. [20:38] <KamenWriter> You recognize that these are Sudowoodo
  615. [20:38] <KamenWriter> There are about 4 of them
  616. [20:39] <Karsten> "{Are you here in peace?} he asks in Italian, eyeing them a bit.
  617. [20:39] <KamenWriter> They shiver
  618. [20:39] <KamenWriter> And one opens its eye towards you
  619. [20:39] <KamenWriter> :(
  620. [20:40] <KamenWriter> It seems that this one is the ringleader
  621. [20:40] <KamenWriter> He steps forward carefully. His stance is non-threatening
  622. [20:40] <Karsten> "{I am not going to harm you if you don't attack. I was curious about the movement out this way.}" He has a seat nearby, curious.
  623. [20:41] <KamenWriter> The Sudo sees you sit, before twiddling his branches nervousely
  624. [20:41] <KamenWriter> And walking forward
  625. [20:42] <KamenWriter> The Sudowoodo isn't quite sure how to communicate back what it wants
  626. [20:42] * Karsten tries his best to not look intimidating.
  627. [20:42] <Karsten> He thinks a moment, none of his pokemon are capable of talking...
  628. [20:42] <KamenWriter> Eventually, though, the Sudo bends over and finds a patch of dirt
  629. [20:42] <KamenWriter> It begins drawing crude trees in the dirt
  630. [20:43] * Karsten watches carefully.
  631. [20:44] <KamenWriter> And then, once it's finished drawing in the dirt, it draws something else. A monster, it looks like
  632. [20:44] * Elsa is huffing and puffing over the barricade, feeling like she should be somewhere
  633. [20:45] <KamenWriter> It huge, has a long, flat snout, sharp claws, and appears to have horrifying psychic energy coming off of it.
  634. [20:45] <KamenWriter> It has what looks like spikes coming off it it.
  635. [20:45] <Karsten> "{There is... something in the woods, driving you out?}" he attempts to divine the drawing.
  636. [20:45] <KamenWriter> Once they finish drawing this monster, they point south.
  637. [20:45] <KamenWriter> He nods :(
  638. [20:46] * Karsten looks that way, frowning.
  639. [20:46] <Karsten> "{I see... I'll see what I can do, but I can't guarantee anything immediately if it's dangerous. There's only so much I can do by myself.}"
  640. [20:46] <KamenWriter> It SHOULD be still within the safe area
  641. [20:47] * Karsten stands up.
  642. [20:47] <KamenWriter> The Sudos are simply glad you heard them out :(
  643. [20:47] <Karsten> Let's see... pokemon edu to try and identify the drawing?
  644. [20:47] <KamenWriter> Sure
  645. [20:48] <Karsten> 2d6+2
  646. [20:48] <DiceMaid-9001> Karsten, 2d6+2: 11 [2d6=6,3]
  647. [20:49] <KamenWriter> It's pretty crude. You don't recognize it
  648. [20:51] <Karsten> "Hrm." he bites his lip, but he decides to investigate anyway, going south.
  649. [20:51] <KamenWriter> Alright.
  650. [20:51] <KamenWriter> You head south
  651. [20:51] <KamenWriter> You cross the train tracks soon enough
  652. [20:51] <KamenWriter> And then you're further into the southern forest
  653. [20:52] <KamenWriter> Eventually, however, you feel strange.
  654. [20:52] <KamenWriter> Like you're being watched
  655. [20:52] <KamenWriter> Perception
  656. [20:53] <Karsten> 2d6+2
  657. [20:53] <DiceMaid-9001> Karsten, 2d6+2: 8 [2d6=1,5]
  658. [20:53] <KamenWriter> Alright
  659. [20:54] <KamenWriter> You can't figure out where it's coming from
  660. [20:54] <KamenWriter> Until
  661. [20:54] <KamenWriter> 1d20
  662. [20:54] <DiceMaid-9001> KamenWriter, 1d20: 8 [1d20=8]

  683. [21:00] * Karsten is only minorly hurt from these waterguns. Schmuddel doesn't seem as hurt as a normal ground type would be, either.
  684. [21:00] <KamenWriter> Karsten's go
  685. [21:01] <Karsten> Regardless, though, he starts treating the spots blasted by the high pressure water, using a potion on himself.

  874. [21:46] * Elsa nods and gives a slight smile, "You're very lucky to have survived a crash out here. You can call me Elsa."
  875. [21:47] <KamenWriter> "Sergent Charles Archimedes."
  876. [21:47] <KamenWriter> "Charlie to my friends."
  877. [21:47] * Elsa reaches out to shake hands, "If you come out from behind Cait, I promise I vill not attack you."
  878. [21:47] <Cait> "Don't worry, she can only read your mind." she says somewhat bemusedly.
  879. [21:48] <Elsa> <Well, that was going to come out later, but I suppose you know now.>
  880. [21:48] <KamenWriter> :I
  881. [21:48] <KamenWriter> "What is this rot?"
  882. [21:49] <KamenWriter> "Are the Germans teaching their women witchcraft now?"
  883. [21:49] <Cait> "Oh elsa, I was trying to see if he would actually believe it."
  884. [21:50] * Elsa drops her calm expression, floating immediately over to him and attempting a telekinetic grapple

  893. [21:52] <Elsa> <Wyrda!>

  898. [21:53] <KamenWriter> "You said the Germans were allies!"
  899. [21:53] <KamenWriter> "Why would you lie like that?" ;_;
  900. [21:54] <Elsa> <Swear to me that you will never despoil my name again! Now!>
  901. [21:55] <KamenWriter> "Ahhhhh."
  902. [21:55] * Elsa is bright red and clenching her fists, <I am, NOT A WITCH.>
  903. [21:55] <KamenWriter> "Get her off me!"
  904. [21:56] <Cait> "Elsa, calm down."
  905. [21:57] <Cait> "You aren't a witch Elsa."
  906. [21:58] * Elsa releases Charles from grapple
  907. [21:58] * Cait runs over to grab Charles
  908. [21:59] * Elsa sets herself back down and looks around, walking away briskly
  909. [21:59] <KamenWriter> Charles stands up. He's clearly shaken.
  910. [21:59] <Cait> "First impressions! First impressions..."
  911. [21:59] <KamenWriter> "Are all of your German friends so charming?" D:
  912. [21:59] <Cait> "Charles, let me speak to you about charm. Never call a lady anything that ends in i-t-c-h."
  913. [22:00] <KamenWriter> "It was a joke. She did that crazy ventriloquist thing, and suddenly she pushed me down with her mind!"
  914. [22:01] <KamenWriter> "Was that real?"
  915. [22:01] <Cait> "Its actually bad manners to call someone with a gift a witch; at least in america...I'm assuming its worse in germany..." She glances at the way elsa went.
  916. [22:01] <KamenWriter> "Did she really do that? Who are you people?"
  917. [22:02] <Ivan> "Yes, she is like psychic Pokemon."
  918. [22:02] <KamenWriter> "We don't have such things in the Queen's England." :(
  919. [22:03] <Cait> "I guarantee you do, and in your neighbor scotland."
  920. [22:03] <KamenWriter> :I "I would expect this of the Irish."
  921. [22:04] <KamenWriter> "Would someone please explain to me exactly... what we're doing here? Where is the army? What is all this rot about fighting against pokemon?"
  922. [22:04] <Cait> "No idea on the irish... are you ready to listen then?"
  923. [22:05] <KamenWriter> Charlie has no choice
  924. [22:05] <KamenWriter> "Yes."
  925. [22:06] <Cait> "We may be in Italy, we know that for sure, but we also know its...what was it?" She says to the group, "Ten, twenty years after the great war?"
  926. [22:06] <Cait> "Point is, we're not in the when we're supposed to be, because of pokemon. They say us humans will cause the death of pokemon, so we select few have been brought here."
  927. [22:06] <KamenWriter> He seems confused, but lets you talk.
  928. [22:07] <Cait> "Right now, everyone in this city, all, well, six of us now. We're the last humans on earth."
  929. [22:07] <KamenWriter> D:
  930. [22:07] <Cait> "Pokemon have taken over, and we're here to put it to the test, are us humans right for the world."
  931. [22:08] <KamenWriter> "B-b-b-but..."
  932. [22:08] <KamenWriter> "But that makes no sense."
  933. [22:08] <Cait> "It doesnt, but you just got lifted by someone's mind. This is the situation we're in."
  934. [22:09] <KamenWriter> "I... can't think about this right now."
  935. [22:09] <KamenWriter> "Where did you put my bags?"
  936. [22:09] * Cait thumbs toward them.
  937. [22:10] <KamenWriter> He rushes over to them and opens them up.
  938. [22:10] <Cait> "Would you say you've been here about five days?"
  939. [22:10] <KamenWriter> "What? Oh... uh... yes. Yes I believe so."
  940. [22:10] <KamenWriter> Turns out the things you were carrying were literally bags full of... rocks.
  941. [22:10] <Cait> "Then you were brought the same time we were. We were on trains."
  942. [22:10] * Cait raises an eyebrow.
  943. [22:11] <KamenWriter> He pulls out a large on as well as a small pick chisel and begins to chip away at the stone.
  944. [22:11] <KamenWriter> He calms down.
  945. [22:11] <KamenWriter> "Train, same time, yes, alright. Bully."
  946. [22:12] <Cait> "We're here to defeat four 'general' pokemon. we've defeated two already."
  947. [22:12] <KamenWriter> "Generals?"
  948. [22:12] <Cait> She nods, "They're leading the pokemon forces; there is a reason there was a barricade out there."
  949. [22:13] <KamenWriter> :( "O-okay."
  950. [22:13] <KamenWriter> He tinks away at his rocks.
  951. [22:13] * Cait frowns, "Come on! You are a man aren't you? Why are you so damned timid? What's with the rocks?"
  952. [22:14] <KamenWriter> "I enjoy rocks." D:
  953. [22:14] <KamenWriter> "Rocks are lovely."
  954. [22:15] * Ivan doesn't know quite what to make of this...but for now Cait seems to have a handle on it. He turns to go.
  955. [22:15] <KamenWriter> "The rocks here are beautiful. Lots of pokemon marks, thin veins of different types of stone running through."
  956. [22:15] <Cait> "You sound like uncle...ugh, what was his name, I know i've met him..."
  957. [22:15] <Cait> "Anyway, are you a miner by trade?"
  958. [22:16] * Cait looks at Ivan, "Where are you off to?"
  959. [22:16] <Ivan> "I vill go finish barricade repairs."
  960. [22:17] <KamenWriter> "Oh let him go. He's russian. You and I understand each other. You're American. You used to be British."
  961. [22:17] <Cait> "If you don't think you can finish tonight, tell me, I can help."
  962. [22:17] <KamenWriter> "I... don't know if I understand what the hell is going on."
  963. [22:18] <Cait> "If Celebi was here, he might be able to explain it better than me..."
  964. [22:18] <KamenWriter> <You Rrrrrrang?>
  965. [22:18] <Cait> "Did you ever see a green fairy-like pokemon fluttering around-THANK YOU."
  966. [22:18] * Cait points to Charles and looks around.
  967. [22:19] <KamenWriter> Celebi is floating overhead, but stops once he sees Charlie
  968. [22:19] <KamenWriter> He seems confused.
  969. [22:19] <KamenWriter> However, Charlie starts screaming again
  970. [22:19] <Cait> "Stop. STOP. STOP!"
  971. [22:19] <KamenWriter> "More magic! Pixies and doxies and fairies and all sorts of crazy things!"
  972. [22:20] <KamenWriter> <Ah, so here he is.>
  973. [22:20] <Cait> "Pokemon can do that! What is your problem?!"
  974. [22:20] <KamenWriter> Celebi doesn't look so confused anymore.
  975. [22:20] * Cait rubs her head.
  976. [22:20] <Cait> "Who IS he Celebi?"
  977. [22:21] <KamenWriter> <He's your last member, obviously.>
  978. [22:21] <KamenWriter> <Kind of a... cowardly one, isn't he?>
  979. [22:21] <Cait> "That's a word for it."
  980. [22:22] <Cait> "The artsy type. You limp wristed?" She asks charles.
  981. [22:23] <KamenWriter> "Excuse me?" His mustache bristles
  982. [22:23] <KamenWriter> It's starting to get to be evening. If you've got something to do, it might be best to get started soon
  983. [22:25] <Cait> "Where is that fighter pilot bravery I'd always hear from allied soldiers? You're sitting here chipping away at rocks; well go ahead, make your sculptures. We need to prepare for the night. That's when the enemy pokemon come out."
  984. [22:25] * Karsten probably gets back around this time?
  985. [22:25] <KamenWriter> Oh
  986. [22:26] <KamenWriter> I thought Karsten was just being quiet
  987. [22:26] <KamenWriter> You've been back this whole time
  988. [22:26] <Karsten> ...wat
  989. [22:26] <Karsten> That would have been nice to know.
  990. [22:26] <KamenWriter> Sorry :(
  991. [22:27] <KamenWriter> But either way, you arrive in time to see Elsa's freakout, but not soon enough to do anything about it
  992. [22:27] <KamenWriter> Let's just say that
  993. [22:27] * Karsten has been quietly watching all of this.
  994. [22:28] <Karsten> "...Er, hello." he finally speaks up.
  995. [22:28] <KamenWriter> :I
  996. [22:28] <KamenWriter> "Are you magic too?"
  997. [22:28] <Cait> "He is not, he is a doctor."
  998. [22:28] <Karsten> "Not a bit."
  999. [22:28] <KamenWriter> "Oh good."
  1000. [22:28] <KamenWriter> "I've come to realize something."
  1001. [22:28] <KamenWriter> "I don't much care for magic."
  1002. [22:29] <KamenWriter> Karsten
1003. [22:29] <Karsten> "Best not to say sat to Elsa. Your name is Charles?"
1004. [22:29] <KamenWriter> You realize that the Sudowoodo that was following you is gone
  1005. [22:29] <Karsten> (Hm?)
1006. [22:29] * Karsten glances around, shrugs and walks over the British man.
1007. [22:29] <Cait> "Celebi? could you fill him in. I have other things to do than babysit."
1008. [22:29] <KamenWriter> "Yes. Are you a German as well, Chappie?"
  1009. [22:30] <KamenWriter> Celebi salutes, <Yes ma'am!>
1010. [22:30] <Karsten> "Yes, I am Karsten. Karsten Blum, medic. Sis is not an easy situation to accept, I know."
  1011. [22:30] * Karsten offers a hand.
1012. [22:30] <Cait> "Thank you." She gives Celebi a pat pat if he likes that sort of thing, before walking off.
1013. [22:30] <Karsten> "But sis is bigger san se Great Var."
  1014. [22:30] <KamenWriter> "Oh." :(
1015. [22:30] <KamenWriter> He takes your hand and lets you stand him up.
1016. [22:31] * Karsten does so, then shakes his hand.
  1017. [22:31] <KamenWriter> "Finally someone with a bit of class." :(
  1018. [22:32] <KamenWriter> "For a german, of course."
1019. [22:34] <Karsten> "Nationality means little here anymore. Sere is no more var to settle accounts with se assassinator of an archduke, or the attackers of merchant ships. Sis... is a battle of humanity, both for it and testing it. Nature and man, se God and se Devil, morals and lack thereof. Sis has gotten far beyond our struggles against each oser back home, friend."
  1020. [22:34] <KamenWriter> :o
  1021. [22:34] <KamenWriter> "O-okay."
1022. [22:35] <KamenWriter> He seems to be impressed.
1023. [22:35] <Karsten> "Come on, I vill scrounge up somesing tasty to celebrate a new comraderie."
1024. [22:35] <Karsten> "Sen we must prepare for se night."
  1025. [22:35] <KamenWriter> "I could do with a spot of grub."
1026. [22:35] <KamenWriter> "Is there any tea around?"
  1027. [22:36] <KamenWriter> "I could go for a nice cuppa."
1028. [22:36] <Karsten> "I vill see vat I can do but no guarantees. Ve have been subsisting on rations."
1029. [22:36] <KamenWriter> ALRIGHT. Ivan finishes repairing the Barricade. Very boring, but very useful. Good job.
  1030. [22:36] <Ivan> Mission accomplish.
1031. [22:36] <KamenWriter> Also Ivan and Cait found another survivor!
  1032. [22:37] <KamenWriter> 3 trainer exps for them
1033. [22:38] <KamenWriter> As for Elsa, lets do her next
  1034. [22:38] <KamenWriter> You wander off
1035. [22:38] * Karsten heads off to do some cooking, very possibly with Cait waiting for him
1036. [22:38] * Karsten will wait for Elsa's part to be done though :>
1037. [22:38] <KamenWriter> Where do you wander to?
1038. [22:39] * Elsa heads back to the train wreck, all her pokemon returned but Wyrda and Anbruch
1039. [22:39] <KamenWriter> You make it there. The train is still sitting there
  1040. [22:39] <KamenWriter> Wrecked and half-in-half-out of the tunnel
1041. [22:40] * Elsa goes to the train car they were in
  1042. [22:40] <KamenWriter> It's very dark.
1043. [22:40] <KamenWriter> But you find it again
1044. [22:41] <KamenWriter> What do you do once you're there?
1045. [22:41] * Elsa just goes to sit and think
1046. [22:43] <KamenWriter> You begin to hear tapping
  1047. [22:43] <KamenWriter> Outside of the train
  1048. [22:43] <KamenWriter> It sounds like footsteps.
  1049. [22:44] * Elsa curses under her breath, <I shouldn't have gone off like that, I understand.>
1050. [22:45] * Elsa stands up and looks around for who followed her
  1051. [22:45] <KamenWriter> D: Sudooo~
  1052. [22:45] <KamenWriter> It freezes
1053. [22:46] <KamenWriter> As if it could fool you by acting like a tree in the middle of a train tunnel
  1054. [22:46] <Elsa> <Oh.>
  1055. [22:46] * Elsa sits back down, <Well, come in.>
  1056. [22:46] <KamenWriter> :( It comes in.
1057. [22:47] <KamenWriter> It seems to have seen you freak out
  1058. [22:48] <Elsa> <Yes, I did overreact. It was a moment of weakness.>
  1059. [22:48] <Elsa> <Did you come into town on your own?>
1060. [22:49] <KamenWriter> It shakes it's head. It seems "Brown hair little mustache Crossy-sleeve" brought him
1061. [22:49] <KamenWriter> Or rather he followed "Brown hair little mustache crossy-sleeve"
  1062. [22:50] <KamenWriter> That describes Karsten
1063. [22:50] <KamenWriter> Or at least well enough
  1064. [22:50] <Elsa> <Oh, interesting. Did you go see Terrakion?>
  1065. [22:50] <KamenWriter> It did not
  1066. [22:50] <KamenWriter> It seems like he's ashamed of himself a little.
1067. [22:51] <KamenWriter> It seems there's some trust here that wasn't there before. He's seen humans in battle, and he came to town to join you.
1068. [22:51] <KamenWriter> And since you're the one he's connected with the most, he offered himself to you first
1069. [22:52] * Elsa lets out a long breath, <Well, I suppose if you're willing to come see me even after what just happened I can't deny you.>
  1070. [22:53] * Cait (nekodes@i.dunno.lol) Quit ( Quit: )
1071. [22:53] <KamenWriter> Naturally, you can fob him off on someone else if they want :B
  1072. [22:53] <KamenWriter> The Sudo won't mind
1073. [22:54] <Elsa> <I will have you along if you wish. Although my technique to training is not as relaxed as I generally appear.> She gives a short harsh laugh
1074. [22:54] <Elsa> <Would you might be interested in working with the mustached cross man, or maybe even the brash woman? Ivan might be able to teach you a trick or two about hiding in plain sight.>
1075. [22:55] <KamenWriter> It will go wherever. For now it sits with you until you're ready to go back to camp.
1076. [22:56] <KamenWriter> AND THAT'S THAT! ANOTHER EXCITING EPISODE OF ONE MINUTE AROUND THE WORLD.
