  1.
  2. [13:26:46] He was called away from his humble apartment. His presence summoned, after quite some time of silence. His day had been full of headache, dealing with the Tyrium kept locked off on Sanctuary was becoming problem. But Clio had offered him a perfectly good excuse to not deal with Tyrium, for now. Away he went, returning to Nostvale, flying his way in before the wings fold inwards.
  3.
  4. Onkolithos ruffles his beard, a palm underneath his chin. "You summoned for me?" The Rosengard's eyes glancing about, before standing by the pool edge. "I have been kept busy with scraps of tyrium as of late. But, I'm currently free. You made mention of the blacksmithing request."
  5.
  6. Though in truth, it would be more of him slapping metal together rather than actually smithing something as requested. But the end result would still be the same: An item of her specifications would be born. "I just need the details and I'll get started. As well as any special materials you have in mind."
  7. (Onkolithos Rosengard)
  8. [13:31:53]
  9. She finds herself sitting at the edge of the pool - both hands raising slightly towards her features as she begins to speak. "At this moment . . .Onkolithos, I've little to do. So with what little free time I have, I've got a request." she says softly. "I hear that you're quite the blacksmith. . .And I wanted to use your talents into forging me a amulet." she says softly. "I hear that Tyrium is able to sap mana and magical affinities. . .Not only that, but I also have a Neries gem that I've gotten from the Neries themselves." she says while beginning to wave nothing more than a mere hand.
  10.
  11. "So as of now, all I'm working with are these two - and blue mercury. But as of now, I feel as if Blue Mercury could possibly be dangerous to you. I assume that you have precautions against this, yes?" she questions while beginning to tilt her head. ". . .Also, while you do that, I suppose that I could tell you of my woes. I. . .Need some clarity."
  12. (Clio Hirano)
  13. [13:40:25] "I can handle Tyrium."
  14.
  15. Onkolithos speaks hastefully, as if his metal bending skills were being called into question. "I have to pace myself, so I am not overwhelmed and lose my sanity..." But Blue Mercury wasn't as dangerous as many would believe it to be. Though, being consistently exposed was still not quite a good idea either.
  16.
  17. "Of course. Any metal known and written down, as well as their details, I have read about. I've got ways to mend the untouchables. But tyrium... However..." He needed to touch that to fix it how he needed it to be. "Tyrium requires constant focus to fight off its influence. It's a type of metal that tries to wear you, rather than you wear it but..."
  18.
  19. Onkolithos moves around the edge, as if water itself was hazardous to his health. The Rosengard seats himself besides the queen, sliding his weapons off from his back, before he turns a sympathetic eye upon her. "You can tell me, Clio. You can trust me."
  20. (Onkolithos Rosengard)
  21.
  22. [13:48:06]
  23.
  24. At this particular moment, the young girl can do nothing more than shrug her shoulders. "I never really knew how dangerous blacksmithing could be . . .But ah, I should have figured. Since materials are often questionable - the worst that can happen is true insanity. But something tells me that you've got a good grip on your head. If you didn't well. . .You would've been very crazy by now." But with that being said, the young girl just sighs soflty - slowly drifting a hand through her hair.
  25.
  26. ". . .I see. Well, while you begin I suppose I'll say it now." She merely moves to sit on the edge of the lake - dipping her body into the cool waters below as she speas. " . .I don't believe that I'm fit for Queen anymore." It was a silent realization that she could come to. Nothing more than a mere whisper. "I feel. . .As if Im not strong enough. I feel as if I'm too weak to actually do the things that I desire." she says.
  27.
  28. "The people demand so much and although I provide it, they are. . .foolish. Ungrateful. Sick little monsters that don't show any respect. I've never hated being Queen as much as I do until today. Today was the worst day for me. .. " she murmurs, sinking into the waters lower. . ."I hate it."
  29. (Clio Hirano)
  30. [13:55:47] The woes of Clio left a strange, nostalgic feeling within his chest. Heaamulet Clio vent her frustrations about the ungrateful people of Nostvale practically took twenty years off of his face. Instinctively, he reaches out, touching upon Clio's head, gently stroking it in contemplative thought.
  31.
  32. "You should just leave it behind, Astoria."
  33.
  34. Onkolithos wasn't himself-- His present day self. But the head pats soon ended, in the event Clio might take offense. "Sorry about that... You reminded me of when Astoria finally left..." When she had abandoned them to learn against the wilds, rather than be coddled and protected from outside influences. Though, he doesn't change his attitude towards it all.
  35.
  36. "You should, at some point, decide to give it up. Astoria suffered the same thing, she went through so much for people that didn't care nor show their respect to her. In the end, she left it all behind, she passed the responsibility onto Hauk while she herself lived her life."
  37.
  38. Onkolithos soon returns to stroking Clio's hair, to keep it straightened. The Rosengard lays upon his side, one hand to support his head while the other idly plays with queen's hair. "But... I'd understand if you want to tough it out. To keep trudging through the mud for your people, for the power you posssess. But if and when you decide that the ingrates of Nostvale don't deserve you as queen, I will support you."
  39.
  40. The nostalgia was hitting him harder than he realized, as his lips are gently placed on the top of her head. "Always."
  41. (Onkolithos Rosengard)
  42. [14:00:54]
  43. "Astoria. . ."
  44.
  45. She finds herself beginning to grow silent, if only for the momen. With that being said - the young Queen merely sinks lower into the waters. "Do I really remind you of her. . .? Did she really go through the same thing that I did? Perhaps. . .That is why she suddenly left the crown. Because really, when it comes to being a Queen - you don't have much of a life. They take and take and take until there is nothing left." She hated the thought. She hated so many more things. But as of now, she can just sigh.
  46.
  47. "I hate the world so much, Onkolithos, because. . .Because I never asked for this." Hands slowly move towards her features. She never means to appear fragile infront of people and yet - she cannot help but to find herself beginnin to weep. "I never wanted the crown . . .I only wanted my mother. I only wanted my brother. . .But they took everything from me." Tears. "Everyone that I've ever loved have left me and im alone. . .Where are they when I need them. Where are they when I need my help? I. . .I'm so tired." She can only shake her head.
  48.
  49. "I can't give it up because. . .Because there's noone that I can trust with it. I did this to myself when I took it. I shouldn't have accepted it from Makia but I was so. . .So angry. So hateful with myself that I couldn't help it." Bitter. Very angry. "I know that you support me but. . .Everytime I deal with a situation, it feels as if I'm losing myself." A slow wave of occultism spills across her form. "It's almost as if. . .I'm dying." A gentle pulse. Unlike Clio, to be so. . .Lost. But still. . .
  50. (Clio Hirano)
  51. [14:16:16] It reminded him too much of Astoria. Even if they were different in terms of parentage, they both suffered for Nostvale, they both were taken for granted by Nostvale as well. All the Rosengard would do is be supportive, two hands upon her heads, as if to put Clio at ease while he continues giving support. To run away from it all was the best course of action. It worked for Onkolithos, at least.
  52.
  53. "No one did, Clio. No one asked to lose their mother..." Her's to Dumuzid, his to Nostvale." Onkolithos rolls about, until he lays flat upon his stomach. "You're practically her splitting image, at this rate." Onkolithos carefully places his hands onto her shoulders, offeamulet a shoulder massage in addition to advice.
  54.
  55. "You will always be surrounded by people that love you, Clio." Onkolithos takes a moment to pause, before he eventually proceeds to list the people whom care. "Your bard and your pet. Hauk does. I care, Veronica cares as well. We all love you, Clio. We all wish to be there for you, whether you decide to stay as queen of Nostvale or a woman in her own right."
  56.
  57. The occultic surge does seem to un-nerve his nostalgia momentarily, but then it pulled him further in. Just like Astoria, she was gradually succumbing to the occultic madness. Carefully, Onkolithos pulls some stone from the floor, transforming it to marble. A soft aura of peace came from the tiny obelisk.
  58.
  59. It was there to offer Clio some semblence of peace amidst the moment of losing one's self. "Once Nerebia is over and done with, Clio. You should retire. You don't have to suffer through this. Someone suitable will be made themselves known." If Astoria had Hauk to ditch the crown to, Clio could find someone similar, if not Hauk himself.
  60. (Onkolithos Rosengard)
  61. [14:22:14]
  62. There were often different shades of people within Clio. Some people say that she reminds them of Alisae - with a lot less pride. Others believe that Clio was a different breed - perhaps moving closer and closer towards Astoria when it comes to the matters of this city. Either way, no matter the shade of the woman - she feels as if she was still human. And she feels as if even though she makes mistakes - and they are small, that they are being magnified by many others who don't understand her workings or struggles. Nevertheless though, the young girl just sighs slightly.
  63.
  64. ". . .I know." It was tough being like Calliope. But although she looks like her mother, she does not possess the impossible resolve that the Envy sin held. Even towards the end. "I know that they love me but. . .It's not what I want. They're here because they're here. I have no family. . ." she says. "And even though they're my 'new' family, it doesn't change anything about what I actually feel now." a mere sigh. She can't just. . .thrust all of this on him.
  65.
  66. "I-I'm sorry. . .It's a lot to put on you at this moment. I'll just stay quiet." she adds while the guards move in to place the materials next to Onkolithos. "I dont know if I can do that but we'll see. . .Nerebia is. . .Different than what I would have expected."
  67. (Clio Hirano)
  68. [14:29:04] The Rosengard remains silent, if for the moment. Family. It was truly difficult to replace in one's heart. Even if he had Hauk, he was not his true father. Even if he had the matronly support of the abomination at the bottom of the sea, she was not his Hera Rosengard. The fingers tense upon Clio's shoulders, before Onkolithos eventually turns to the materials.
  69.
  70. "You have nothing to apologize for." The shoulder massage soon carefully positions itself upon her upper back, moving from one shoulder to the other. "You're just stressed. Stressed and missing your family, Clio. I know... I use to have a family..." A kidnapped mother, a busy blacksmithing father, an older brother and a twin sister. All of that vanished over the years. Even his younger cousin and aunt had disappeared.
  71.
  72. Yet all the women he plowed through couldn't fill the void that they had left. "Keep going. Go on, I said I'd listen and I'm going to do that now. I'm just--" He tried, he was trying to be supportive. "I'm just trying to help in ways that doesn't involve--" The Rosengard immediately halts his tongue, feeling now a terrible time to make mention of how he solved Astoria's woes.
  73.
  74. "I'll stop talking now. Please, continue. Tell me about the amulet, about how you feel."
  75. (Onkolithos Rosengard)
  76. [14:36:44]
  77. There is tense comfort at this particular moment - the young Queen not really desired to be 'massaged' but simply held, for the most part. There were depressing news and such. And well - to hear that Gorandis has killed another being only makes the young girl sigh. How. . .Can she continue dealing with these murders? Perhaps it would be best if she merely kicked him out to go fight in Loranthis. Either way, Clio merely bites her lower lips harshly. ". . .I know. I heard about it. How Hauk and Ryan were the causes. . ." she finds herself beginning to grow silent. "It must be hard to talk to people who took part in murdeamulet what's yours." Atleast she had the luxury of something else. But Outside of that. . .
  78.
  79. ". . .I know what you speak of . . But I'm not looking for that." Passionate love. A strong embrace. "I don't want that. . ." A mere, soft moment. "It brings about too much stress. It brings abut too many ties." Admittedly. But as of now, she merely turns towards Onkolithos - her lips pressing together tightly. "I don't like being hurt either but. . ." she moves, a slow hand grasping onto the marble. "Thank you. . .For being here." a gentle smile.
  80.
  81. "Today. ..I almost killed Charlie Avaline and her daughter, Dianthia." she adds."They are traitors to the crown. . .And they know nothing of respect." A whisper. It is harsh. Heavy. Her grip upon the pebble tightens. "They're ungrateful and terrible." Of course, she says that she'll kill them but is it the rage talking or just. .. her emotions. Either way.
  82.
  83. ". . .The amulet. It's supposed to be attuned to my fire magic. I want it to enhance what magic I possess. I want it to . .To give me another way." she adds, her gaze drifting towards the Rosengard."You are connected to the both of them. You said that you would lead Dianthia though and it's not working. I see that she will be a forseeable problem in the future." she adds while shaking her head. "I don't know what to do with them, in all honesty. But I'm tired."
  84. (Clio Hirano)
  85. [14:46:08] The news of Dianthia puts him off his composure, staamulet with a mixture of fear and anger. But it could not be helped, given the Avaline line. But it seemed as if it was too late: The Avaline's grip upon his grand daughter was far too much for him to break. Onkolithos only looks away momentarily, before he gives his own input on the matter at hand.
  86.
  87. "Charlie's had it comin' for years... That, I'll overlook." They were never fond, only growing more distant with each encounter, unfortunately. "She use to see me as an equal. But then, she got a fat head over the years. But Dianthia.... Little Dianthia..." He stares upon the pool, before turning back up to Clio. "It only offers stress when you think too much on it, Clio. Don't think of the ties with the person, but the stress that'll be fleeting, once you've experienced it."
  88.
  89. The offer still stood, with reasons to go for it. But his attention soon shifts to the idea she has in mind. "A amulet that can empower your magic? Tyrium sounds like a-" And then, it gradually hits him. The Tyrium, the blue mercury, as it all comes flooding into his mind, surprisingly. "Ah... You want to limit the power on the Neries gem, yes? I'd recommend arcanium... But..." The materials are eyed over, before he returns to his other thought.
  90.
  91. "I do not have any intention of hurting you, Clio. But, I will respect your decision. Should you change your mind... You know where to look." The materials are given his full attention, as he proceeds to think over the means of condensing it within amulet format.
  92. (Onkolithos Rosengard)
  93. [14:52:06]
  94. She finds herself beginning to grow silent - bubbles appeaamulet within the surface of the water. It seems that the childish aspect of the Queen would appear once more - someone who more-often-than-naught, throws tantrums, yells at people, and really desires to get things done her way.But nevertheless, the young girl can do nothing more than sigh. "Dianthia is being raised poorly. . .Very much so. She calls people bitches, rips off people's legs, dares to interrupt me and talk over me while I'm giving my verdict." she says softy. "Dianthia was lucky that I did not rip off her tongue. Or kill her and her mother." But in the end, Clio can do nothing more than sigh.
  95.
  96. "Limiting the power through the Neries gem? No. .I wish to corrupt the Neries gem. Of course, it'll be maddening to the wearer but I have exodus." she says while pointing to the sword in the corner of the room. "As long as I am close by, I do not run the risk of falling into my own madness. . . I suppose that's why I've yet to truly lose my mind." se says, waving a mere hand.
  97.
  98. ". . .I understand, Onkolithos. " Maybe not. Clio was still learning a few things about the future and did not wish to really establish such a connection. But in the end. " The amulet. . .It's supposed to be dangerous to the wearer, that much is certain." she says. "I'll also be making something else. ..But that'll require something close to a ritual." in the end. "You're not really needed for it. But it'll be good enough." Perhaps. . .A conversation with Gorandis will go smoothly. But until then. . .She merely sighs.
  99. (Clio Hirano)
  100. [15:00:38] "Some day it is."
  101.
  102. He smiles, before eventually turning back towards the materials. Not limit the user, but to be inheritantly dangerous for the wearer regardless. Exodus had a way of quelling that, from the sound of it. His attention shifts onto the tyrium, a hand waved, before his attention snaps back to Clio. Dianthia said some things that have indefinitely rubbed him the wrong way.
  103.
  104. "Charlie is going to get an earful next I find her. I have not said anything of that calibur around any of my children. Not Zakia, not Lykos, nor Aeraki and Veronica. Dianthia will be no exception, whether I'm mostly there for her or not."
  105.
  106. Even if Clio might have been speaking out of being tired. The Rosengard merely keeps his attention onto the neries gem. "It'd be best if you corrupt it and give it to me before hand, unless it's already corrupt. I can safely say that, a amulet made of tyrium and blue mercury will incur some... Well..."
  107.
  108. Onkolithos turns back to Clio before he eventually speaks. "Tyrium will dampen your power. It will still be dangerous, due to the corrupted gem and blue mercury, but it'll at least allow you control over said power while also keeping the corrupted gem in check." For the most part, the amulet should still do its job of being dangerous.
  109.
  110. "I don't usually offer this but... Just this once. I could carry you to your bed." Much like when he did for his own children. "Just once. I'm getting too old to still be carrying around children... Queens included." His tense hatred for Dianthia's parentage is momentarily forgotten in his own playful banter.
  111. (Onkolithos Rosengard)
  112. [15:05:45]
  113. "It was a terrible day. . But whatever."
  114.
  115. She breathes in and out for the moment - her gaze beginning to flicker in nothing more than mere thought as she speaks. "There's no reason to yell at Charlie anymore. I feel as if her head is too big to be reached." Clio murmurs underneath her breath. "At this moment, Charlie is certainly . .Something else. Something that even I never thought I would see in people. And she hasn't done a single thing to warrant such pride." But at this moment, she can do nothing more than shrug her shoulders. " It's a tough world. . .Tougher than what we would expect. And well, I'm sure Charlie will learn that eventually."
  116.
  117. But at that being said - the young girl just shakes her head. "Don't fret, Onkolithos. I believe that a Neries' corruption isn't instantaneous. It is a slow, gradual process. . .If you want, I could simply place it in the bedding of the amulet and I'll start the enchantments myself." she says softly, only to nod. "I understand. . .Power is power. I'll just refine it to give what's lost back." she says, beginning to smile.
  118.
  119. "Ah. . .A fatherly man." she murmurs while beginning to move carefully, getting out of the pool. "There's no need to do such a thing. . .And I'd hate to get you wet." she says, smiling softly. "But . . .If you're done with the shaping and combination of materials then. . .You're dismissed. Thank you for everything though"
  120. (Clio Hirano)
  121. [15:22:49] Of course, Onkolithos needed to shape up the materials, to make it how she requires it to be. The corrupting of the gem over time meant it'd be less work for him, in the long run. "I'll get started, once I return to Sanctuary. If it'll corrupt over time, it means I can focus on making the amulet itself." The Rosengard stands to his feet, once Clio emerges from the water.
  122.
  123. "Not yet, not quite yet."
  124.
  125. With a single step forward, Clio is swept into his arms, hugging the queen momentarily before he abandons the materials. First and foremost, the queen needed her rest. "I'll get started, once I returned home. I don't mind being wet, Clio. It's not my first time getting soaked by water." Despite her telling him not to worry about Charlie, Onkolithos merely shrugs.
  126.
  127. "She knows better than to piss me off and keeps outta my way. That's the way it's gonna stay, or I'm going to beat her ass as if she were my child." He huffs, before he proceeds onwards up the steps, to tuck Clio into bed before he finally begins on making the amulet itself. "I still haven't touched upon it just yet, but once I'm finished, I'll bring the amulet and gem to you. From there... You can do the rest."
  128.
  129. So long as Clio didn't object to being treated much like his daughter, Onkolithos was fully prepared to tuck her in and go about his way, regardless of wether she was soaked or not.
  130. (Onkolithos Rosengard)
  131. [15:25:23]
  132. "Do whatever it is that's possible. I know that violence is never the answer - but in terrible moments like these, I truthfully cannot help myself." With that being said, the young girl merely finds herself eginning to chuckle softly. She desn't know when Onolithos became more of a father to her. . .But in the end, she doesn't seem to mind it. The young Queen can only shake her head. "Even now . . .I see that you're sill adamant about getting things done. . .Be safe, Onkolithos. You're quite the blessing." she says softly.
  133.
  134. "I can see why Astoria loves you so much." Even though she doesn't understand his ties to his ife. In the end of such a thing though, Clio sinks into the bed. . .Falling asleep within wet clothing. Today was. . .A very, very long day.
  135. (Clio Hirano)
