KH2 Jiminy's Journal 100% FAQ

Q: What is a Jiminy's Journal 100% run?
A: A 100% Journal run is simply completing the in game Journal 100%.

Q: Why do you still beat the game if the goal is to complete the Journal?
A: For a category to be accepted on the leaderboards, it needs to have a goal defined by the game in some way, and also needs to be from game start to finish, or it will be considered an arbitrary category and go into the Arbitrary/Partial Game Category.

Q: Does the game have a regular 100% run?
A: In KH2 we actually do, only because this game tracks percentage by two counters. One for Journal and one for Gummi Missions. The WR for regular 100% is 28:34:26 by Chrono23.

Q: OH MY GOD DO YOU FIGHT SEPHIROTH!?
A: Yes

Q: How come you grab so many extra Synth items while farming?
A: It may look like I'm grabbing a ton of extra Synth items, but actually the Journal requires them. You have to have 30 of every Shard, 25 of every Stone, and 20 of ever Gem item to complete the Synth Lists part of the Journal. It's stupid, I know.

Q: How are you getting so many Synth drops?
A: By the time I start heavy Synth farming, I will have 7 Lucky Lucky's active. These are all the following Lucky Lucky items you can get: Sweet Memories/Lucky Lucky Ring/3 Abilities (Sora/Dolan/Goffy)/Dolan & Goffy weapons. Having all of these equipped significantly increases chance of drop from enemies.

Q: DO YOU GET ULTIMA WEAPON!?
A: Actually yes, since it's part of the Journal to synth everything.

Q: Do you have to do the Olympus Cups?
A: Yes, every single cup and their score requirement are required to complete the Journal. This means I'll have to do the Hades Paradox Cup in one go without a break.

Q: How are your Drive Forms leveled?
A: Valor - Done on Shadows before going to Xigbar. Wisdom - Done mostly in Agrabah while Synth farming and the rest in Timeless farming. Master - Most is done on the Carousel in HT before 1k Heartless fight, the second half is done in Land of Dragons (fastest post 1k Heartless fight method of farming Master in KH2 English). Final - Half of it is done in Twilight Town basement, and second half is done in Yen Sid Tower.

Q: What difficulty do you play on?
A: Beginner Mode is the fastest for this category. I don't see 100% Journal run on Proud being reasonable anytime soon.

Q: What level do you get to in this run?
A: Somewhere in the 70's.

Q: What are the full requirements to complete the Journal?
A: I'll break them into categories:
  - Ansem Reports: You get these automatically throughout the story
  - Character Files: You get most of these automatically and the rest from doing some extra content, such as Struggle fights and Sephiroth
  - The Heartless: You will likely fill this out from Synth farming
  - The Nobodies: Same as above
  - Treasures: Simply grabbing all Chests. The Chests in Roxas World are not tracked anywhere
  - Maps: If you get all Chests, you'll automatically finish this part of the Journal
  - Missions: These are pretty much the mini-games. From Skateboarding, to Cup score requirements, to all mini-games
  - Mini-games: Filling out the Missions segment will also complete this category, this one just tracks scores
  - Combo Attacks: Using every type of Limit in the game. This includes all of Genie's forms. You only have to do at least 1 hit to have it tracked in the Journal.
  - Synthesis Notes: You will have to Synth every item, level up the Moogle to LV9, and have a certain amount of each Synth item.
  - Character Links: Filled out automatically after you beat Xemnas 1 (assuming you've done all optional worlds too)
