Appearance: Female, 5'9", 120 lbs. Very petite build despite her height (small waist, chest and hips).
Clothing is very feminine, often handmade dressed with piled fabric and layers.
Role in the town: she is a talented seamstress, often putting many hours into perfecting the clothing she is making. She also offers to volunteer at the church or watch the children of busy or infected people.
Personality: She is an intelligent, motherly figure who can either come across very warm or very cold, depending on her first impression of the person. Often sarcastic, but helpful when she can be. A perfectionist who is very invested in her work. Tends to avoid conflict unless necessary.
• She enjoys traditionally feminine things but will become distasteful when it it suggested she cannot be independent.
• Can be blunt and to the point if she thinks it will make thinks easier
• Is a lesbian, although she is constantly paranoid that she will be discovered. She tries very hard to hide it (partially due to her time period) and becomes snappy and defensive if she thinks someone is suspicious. Not married and lives alone above her shop.
Reasoning: I relate to Kanaya in many ways and enjoy using her character as a way to work on creative writing in paragraph style especially. I find her personality to be charming and that she has a very dynamic characterisation that I like to play around with in different AUs and situations.
