Initiating pursuit:
(Unit number) initiating pursuit on (location), suspect headed (direction). (Any ammount/number)* extra units needed. Over.

Example - Unit 43 initiating pursuit on interstate 425, suspect headed northbound. Extra units needed. Over.
                                       (If you want to request a specific ammount). Five units needed.

* It is not necessary to request for extra units, or for a specific number.

Ending assignment (Whether it's a callout, assistance request or a pursuit):
(Unit number), show me code 4 on last (callout/assistance request/pursuit/etc). Resuming patrol; 10-8. Over.

Example - Unit 43, show me code 4 on last pursuit. Resuming patrol; heading back to jurisdiction. 10-8. Over.

Pulling somebody over:
 (Unit number), I have a 10-38 (Stands for traffic stop) on a (color)(vehicle name), plates (plate number). (Request extra unit if needed). Over. - (If you ask for an extra unit, don't get out of the car until the unit is on-scene).

Example - Unit 43, 10-38 on a red Yosemite, plates BL4S73R1SG4Y. Extra unit needed. Over.

Requesting assistance:
(Unit number), requesting assistance at (Location) for a (Situation). Code (code number), over. (Go ahead and put a backup beacon too)
Example - Unit 43, requesting assistance next to LSIA for a suspicious vehicle. Code two. Over.

To have in mind:
Code 2: Finish what you're doing and respond. Lights only.
Code 3: Emergency; Drop what you're doing and respond. Lights and siren.


 That is the basic stuff you need to know. You DO NOT need to learn those exact same radio formats if necessary. It is not obligatory to use the exact same words. You can use your own words as long as it's understandable.
